The continuation of the prolonged (lol, OOC) duel was something Meenauh already had not anticipated. By that time, the first years should've knocked each other down by a myriad of Flipendos, or at least tickle each other to near-death. But the two had some innate duelling abilities, it seemed. They'd do nicely in the team, she thought.

Ying flung another Flipendo, hitting Raizel in the chest, this time a bit more painful one. Raizel replied with a strong Tarantallegra, which met its target in the face, starting a weird kozachok dance, which would make it a bit more difficult to cast and dodge, as the dance had a lot of squats in it. She thought how weird it was, as it was unlikely Ying even knew the dance, but somehow the spell knew how to cheat your brain and make your limbs move in a very unexpected way.

"Not bad, guys, not bad. You're enduring quite fine, but someone has to put a stop to it, so show me the most of your capabilities," she was talking a bit louder now to make sure both of them hear it nicely.

She was ready to intercept any spell that would miss or deal a bit more damage than it should do. It was a practice duel anyway, so would be great if no one would actually pass out or something.

That Flipendo that Ying sent to her packed a punch, a lot more painful than the previous ones. It was enough to make her stagger and pause to catch her breath, finally feeling the exhaustion after taking on spells after spells. She can still take a couple of hits and it was surprising that after all of that, she is still here, standing but perhaps for not too long. Her limit is closing in and Ying still looks a lot better than her, performance wise too.

How many spells had missed her target? She had lost count of it and it's kind of frustrating to look back at those missed spells. How could you miss when your opponent wasn't even moving? That was embarrassing, she will admit. That just means that she needs to work some more on her aiming and get used to the whole spellcasting. A problem that she needs to face if she wants to be on the dueling team in the future. Just need to keep working hard right? But isn't that what she's been doing ever since she got here? Yet the results are nowhere to be seen.

Raizel shook her head, snapping herself out of her own thoughts before she could even go deep into it and lose her concentration. No, stop thinking about those for now. Deal with them later. What's more important is to get this duel done. A comeback is what she needs but it'll take a miracle for it to happen, especially with how horrible her performance was for the last few rounds. Luckily this time though, her Dancing Feet spell hit, making her grin despite the soreness that she's feeling. Lucky hit.

No, not again! And definitely not in her face! Ying thought while she was being hit with another Tarantalegra. The young girl felt the pain reaching her, closing her eyes tight, while tears formed behind her eyelids. But she didn't have time to normalize her breathing before her feet started dancing again, and now it was an even stranger dance than the first time, "What kind of dance is this?" Ying asked to no one in particular. She wasn't really expecting one of them to be expert in dancing moves.

The only consolation she was having was that her own spell had also found its target! Raizel seemed tired and out of breath after enduring so many "flipendos". Ying would have to praise her friend for being so resistant and determined, a lion at the heart no ways to deny it. She felt pride wash over her, Gryffindor would be in good hands with Raizel on her dueling team, for certain Meenauh would agree with her on that!

"Not bad, guys, not bad. You're enduring quite fine, but someone has to put a stop to it, so show me the most of your capabilities," She listened to the lion captain as it was an order and prepared to respond accordingly! Or at least...the best as she could manage between so many ups and downs and turn around!

It's been taking a while and both of them were still standing. Raizel seemed a bit more worn, but at least not dancing like crazy, while trying to produce fire.

"Nice hit!" she said to Raizel once a strong, almost-to-knock-down Flipendo hit the dancing target.

"You need to put more power into this," she said to Ying, once she produced an Incendio of moderate strength, "I know it's not easy with the dance going on, but you ought to do it in a real duel as if your victory is at stake," that was a harsh lesson, but they needed to be trained if they wanted a spot in the team.

She looked at the clock and indeed it was taking a while.

"Time is almost up, you have to wrap it up," she addressed the future duellists, "Cast your last spells and let's see who'd be down and who would be standing."

She wanted to eat, to be honest. She didn't think the practice would take this long and at this point she could end the duel herself, but... it would be a bit unfair to the younglings. The prefect already fetched her satchel, and was ready to feed the chocolate bars to them, but first things first — they had to determine the winner.

Minutes, seconds, no, it felt like hours had passed in this duel. It somehow feels like this duel has been going on forever. Is this how duelling goes? Raizel wondered in her mind as she tried to keep herself conscious and focused until they reached the end of this duel. Tiring, thrilling, it sure pushes you to the limit.

A lot of mistakes and yet here she is, still fighting and raising her wand against an opponent that she has no chance of beating. It's tempting to just surrender but would she do that? Absolutely not. Too determined to quit, too determined to surrender. She'll fight till the bitter end.

Keep going, keep fighting.

Her grip tightened around her wand, quickly making the gesture of a spell before speaking out clearly. "Flipendo!" for the first time in forever, her Flipendo finally hit. She was afraid it'll miss her target once again much like when Ying was affected by that Slowing Charm. That was a decent one, no, perhaps even better as she saw the power behind it. It hit Ying but of course she couldn't take her time to admire her own spell for Ying's Incendio was already on its way to her, making her to instinctively try and cover herself with her arms. She gritted her teeth, wincing upon the contact of the hot flames but luckily, she's not on fire.

Okay, she's still in this. That's good. It's already close to the end and she can't afford getting knocked out until then. This duel will continue onto the final stage and she will witness the end of it.
