History/Background Story:
Eri was born into a magical family that was originally from Japan, but moved to Scotland. This meant that Eri’s older siblings had a chance to get into Hogwarts, and gave Eri that chance when she was born as well. From a young age, she showed a natural affinity for magic, constantly asking questions about spells, until magic was finally explained to her and she didn’t need to ask so many questions. Her mother, Makoto Hikari Sumida, raised Eri and her siblings by herself. Her siblings were named Haru and Hana, and were known as the twins. They were three years older than Eri, and so they lost most contact when they went to Hogwarts and were sorted into Gryffindor. Eri would also play outside her house, which caused her to meet some of the neighbor kids, Tilda, Grace, and Sam who were all siblings. Tilda was the oldest, Sam was the middle child, and Grace was the youngest. Eri’s first instance of magic was when Eri was playing with her dolls one day when she was three, having a tea party, and noticed that one of her dolls had started floating. She ran immediately to her mother and one of her siblings, who explained that she had magic, and that was why the doll was floating while she was playing with it.
