Wishes PV Elena Jones Closed

Elena had been retracing her steps for the past hour, and the ballroom was the only place left where she could've dropped her hair clip. Elena started to hear music as she neared the door, when she peeked inside she saw a girl performing beautiful ballet, wait, not just any girl, Min-seo Kim.

She slipped inside and padded over to one of the walls, she leaned against it, and watched, completely mesmerised by the Korean girl's dancing. Elena wasn't sure if Min-seo had noticed her, but she was content just watching her as she spun through the room, it was amazing. Elena wondered if she'd one ever be able to do something like that, she didn't think she could.

Maybe she could show Min-seo how to do those jumps like she'd promised, they still had to watch the sunset too, but they had a lot of fun together, and Elena especially loved seeing her at her birthday. It was unforgettable, meeting her on that train. She treasured the picture of them together, it was Elena's first time having a real friend.

The music eventually stopped, and Elena decided to call out to Min, maybe they could talk, for a little while at least, "I've never seen anyone dance like that before, it's beautiful."

Elena winced slightly when she saw Min-seo land on her ankle, but given she was running without a limp a second later, she figured it must be fine. She hadn't meant to startle the other girl, maybe she should've waited until the dancing was finished. Oh well, Min-seo had run over now, and any excuse she got to talk to her friend was a good excuse.

"I've been here for maybe a few minutes, I thought I'd wait a little bit before announcing my presence, I didn't want to interrupt you. Even if it was just dancing, it was amazing, if that was you not knowing what you're doing then you must be the best dancer in the world." Elena beamed at Min-seo and got up from where she was sitting, "The photograph was amazing, it guards my dorm bed for now, but I'm not going to leave Hogwarts without it."

"As for your other gift." Elena pulled the necklace out from under her shirt, "I wear it everywhere, it's perfect."

"You look beautiful by the way, I like the way you've done up your hair." Elena dropped the necklace and smiled at Min-seo, "The colour looks very nice with your eyes."

"I've been here for maybe a few minutes, I thought I'd wait a little bit before announcing my presence, I didn't want to interrupt you. Even if it was just dancing, it was amazing, if that was you not knowing what you're doing then you must be the best dancer in the world."

Min-seo blushed a little. "I'm not the best dancer in the world, I really couldn't be. And it's no problem, I was just distracted."
The soft music was still playing. Min-seo sort of forgot about it all together, but she just let it play. She smiled when El said that she kept the photo by her bed, and was even happier when she took out the necklace, which was hanging around her neck. She never knew that she appreciated the presents, she really just didn't know what to give her. But it seemed that she liked them.

"You look beautiful by the way, I like the way you've done up your hair." Elena dropped the necklace and smiled at Min-seo, "The colour looks very nice with your eyes."

Min-seo blushed. The ribbon looked good? It was just a creamish white color, just like her dress.
"Thank you." she said quietly. She didn't think of herself as pretty.

Min-seo still didn't believe that she was as amazing as Elena thought, it was almost sad to see, but that didn't mean the blue haired girl was going to give up. It just meant that she had to try harder to make her see it for herself.

"You know, one day you're going to wake up and realise that you really are as amazing as I keep telling you. For now, I'll stick to telling you exactly what I think of you." Elena smiled softly at Min-seo, "You never know Min, you're certainly the best dancer in the world to me."

Elena tried to remember what she'd been meaning to ask the other girl, it was important, something that she needed to ask. That was it! She wanted to see her more often and that meant asking. The dancer was the first person her age that didn't treat her with disdain or with fake niceness. So that made Min-seo very important, one of the most important people in Elena's world.

So um, Elena coughed, "I was wondering if maybe you wanted to meet up over Winter break, maybe have a cup of tea or something..."

"If you want to that is." Elena looked at Min-seo hopefully.

"You know, one day you're going to wake up and realize that you really are as amazing as I keep telling you. For now, I'll stick to telling you exactly what I think of you." Elena smiled softly at Min-seo, "You never know Min, you're certainly the best dancer in the world to me."

Min-seo smiled a little, feeling very touched. She still certainly didn't love herself, though.
"T-thank you. But again, I'm not the best dancer in the world, there are many better dancers than me." she said, a little blush on her cheeks. She tucked a piece of dark brown hair behind her ear, getting it out of her face.

"So um..."

Min-seo tilted her head to the side.

"I was wondering if maybe you wanted to meet up over Winter break, maybe have a cup of tea or something..."

Min-seo's eyes widened. She was surprised. She didn't know that Elena would want to hang out with her outside of school, again she thought of herself as a bad person. She smiled and nodded. "I would love to, El, It would be amazing." she said, her smile still prominent on her face.

Elena beamed at Min-seo, that was good, Min really did want to see her outside of school. She almost pulled her in for a hug, but decided that she didn't want to mess up the other girl's dress or hair, she also didn't know what she thought of physical contact. Elena was a little bit averse to it herself, so it felt odd to actually want to touch someone else, let alone hug them, "Thank you! I'm looking forward to it, it'll be fun."

Elena looked around the ballroom thoughtfully for a second, "So Min, if you want I could go get my viola, I left it in the rehearsal room. I could play it for you, I don't think you've heard me play before. I also have my flute with me, I was going to head over and practice after I found my hair clip, but it would be more fun for an audience, if you want that is."

Not many of her close friends had actually heard Elena play music, sure she had some from band, and from theatre arts club. Most of her friends were made by looking for quiet, or even just accidentally from sitting nearby to each other.

Min-seo smiled. "I'm looking forward to it too. I think it will be fun too!" she said with a closed eye smile. She was really excited.

"So Min, if you want I could go get my viola, I left it in the rehearsal room. I could play it for you, I don't think you've heard me play before. I also have my flute with me, I was going to head over and practice after I found my hair clip, but it would be more fun for an audience, if you want that is."

Min-seo gasped slightly and clapped her hands rapidly. "I would love to hear you play! Maybe I could dance to the music if I felt like it, I'm not sure. But I bet you're amazing at it!"she said excitedly. She bet the girl was amazing at what she did, and that she was very, very talented. She suddenly remembered. The music was still playing. She gasped and ran towards the device. She quickly turned it off and put it in her pocket. She smiled, a little embarrassed, and ran back to Elena. She grabbed her hand in a friendly way. "To the rehearsal room?" she asked with a smile.

Min-seo seemed really excited and happy that Elena asked her, and the blue haired girl was certainly ecstatic that someone wanted to spend time with her that much. Even though Elena was starting to get used to having real friends, it was still a while to go before she stopped being surprised by kindness, or by compliments, or even just by someone simply wanting to talk to her without another motive.

Elena wondered if Min-seo had met Alan yet, they would probably get along well. Alan was like sunshine and rainbows took human form, she couldn't see how anyone couldn't get along well with Alan. Well, maybe Aurelia, but then again Elena didn't think Aurelia liked anyone that she couldn't use for personal gain. That was another reason she didn't like her, Aurelia reminded Elena of the kids that used to try and double-cross her. Ana didn't actually seem to do that, she liked useful people but it wasn't the only metric she judged people on. That alone made her a lot better than her enemy.

Elena smiled when Min-seo took her hand, "To the rehearsal room it is! I'd love to see you dance again, I'll have to pick something to dance to. I hope you don't mind modern music, it's what I know the most of, so it might be Rather Be or Havana, who knows. I'll have to look at my music lists."
