There's a handy-dandy FAQ Thread that I found incredibly helpful when I first joined the site- honestly, the entire FAQ Tab in the Encyclopedia is just a great resource in general. There, you can ask questions about the site, although I'm sure people in here would be happy to answer them, as well, myself included.
