Sere Nade is already sitting on one of the seat in the middle side of the classroom for about 10 minutes. There are still 20 minutes left until the class started and it is no surprise that only a few students already sitting in the class. I... obviously arrived too early… as usual.
Sere cleans the Gryffindor robes she is wearing and then supporting her chin with her left hand. She opened the first page of the notebook she brought and lifted her favorite pencil to write,
History of Magic
Yes, this is her first History of Magic class at Hogwarts and Sere is really looking forward to it. I'm curious about what I will learn, even though I don't really like memorizing, this class maybe different and could be fun.
Sere waits patiently for the start of the class. She is always used to coming to the class a lot more earlier than the time it is started. She is someone who really cares about her academics. At her old school, there was nothing else Sere could care about other than being the best in academics. Friend? Sadly, she didn't even have one in her past.
Almost all the students has gather and take the seats in the positions they want. The seat next to Sere still looks empty. Sere shrugged her shoulders. There's no way another first year student will arrive five minutes before the class starts. Denying her loneliness that starts to grow, Sere straightened her back. It doesn't matter. I will sit alone… as usual.

Wait... So You Tried to Test Me?
Renelle sprinted down the all-too familiar hallway leading to the History of Magic classroom, occasionally bumping into stray students around the corner. Several responded with cries of indignation, yet none were offered an apology. This rushed and haphazard behaviour was extremely out of character for the Ravenclaw, but there was good reason. She was, so, so, late.
How did she even end up in such a horrible situation? True, she was not the best or most organised student by any means, but that did not mean she normally had to worry about punctuality. Hogwarts had made it so there was plenty of time to get from one class to another, even if it was a lunch hour. Maybe that was the problem. Lunch. It was so easy to loose track of time feasting on all the sumptuous food served int he Great Hall, thus her current state.
Finally arriving at the classroom, Renelle cautiously pushed open the door, peeking inside. Her worst fears had been founded- everyone was seated and the lecture had long started. Briefly, the girl considered simply leaving and pretending that she had forgotten entirely about this lesson, which did have some aspect of truth. However, it was too late, for some of those sitting nearer to the had caught sight of her already. There was no way around it, then.
Setting her heart, she opened the door wide enough so that she could step inside, then quickly shut it once more. As Renelle glanced around for an empty seat, she felt the blood rush her to cheeks. Talk about a noticeable arrival.
To make matters worse, it seemed that there were no spare spots. Just about every chair was taken, and just about everyone was staring at her now. If only she knew some sort of spell to disappear… Suddenly, she caught sight of an empty seat smack in the middle of the classroom. Not a favourable spot, but at this point she would’ve been happy sitting next to a giant tarantula. Practically flying toward the spot, she plopped down and took out her stuff, trying to pretend nothing out of the ordinary had happened earlier.
Ugh. History of Magic. The most boring of all subjects. For others, at least there was some practical irk at times, but for this, it was just hours of lectures, with no break. Renelle settled on staring blankly at the board, her usual go-to way to handle tedious tasks. She checked the clock. Only one hour, twenty-five minutes to go.Interacting with @Sere Nade

Sere is busy taking notes about many things the professor taught (or just spit out). Lesson started about 30 minutes ago. Every now and then she's still glancing at the seat next to her, a little bit hoping that someone's gonna come even though her logic feels like that's impossible.
Whether she was too focused on the professor or what, she didn't realize that someone had entered the class and approached her table. Sere realizes the student's presence right after the girl sits beside her. The girl has dark brown hair that actually really good matches with her eyes and her tanned skin. Sere blinked several times, she changed her focus for a moment from the History of Magic -which turned out to be quite boring- to the girl that was suddenly sitting beside her. It fulfills hope deep inside her heart, but...
Why is she so relaxed? Sere looks around, no one seems disturbed by the presence of this girl. I mean… she is late, right? Sere glanced at the girl next to her once every few minutes as she tried to continue to take notes on what the professor said.
Some glances later, Sere is again surprised seeing the relaxed-girl staring at the board in front of the class... blankly? Is she daydreaming? I also start to think that this class is boring, but… How could someone daydream in the middle of a lesson?
Sere shook her head. I don't think this girl will know anything the professor said. She doesn't seem to pay attention to the class.
The lesson ended with a typical-history-lesson task that the professor said before leaving the class: writing a three-page essay that has to be submitted before the next class starts. At first, Sere is about to immediately do the task, but she suddenly has something bad in her mind. She immediately turned her head and opened her mouth, "Sorry, what task did the professor give us?"
This is a question as a form of Sere's skepticism to the girl next to her. She tested the girl. Sere is almost sure that the girl doesn't know what task the professor gave them. She didn't pay attention... Right?

Wait... So You Tried to Test Me?
Why does the Asian girl next to me keep staring at me like there’s a giant bug on my face? That was the question on Renelle’s mind as the class progressed. It was true- the girl in question insistently tried to discreetly look at her once every few minutes, almost like she wanted to say something. Almost instinctively, the Ravenclaw touched her face and hair. Nope, nothing there.
Deciding on simply ignoring this strange behaviour, she went back to staring at the board. Why did they even have to learn History of Magic anyway? It wasn’t like they could change events that happened thousands of years ago, making it kind of useless. And why would she even care about some stupid gargoyles, or goblins who woke up one day and thought: Hey, let’s rebel so poor innocent students in the twenty-first century will have to learn about us in class!
There was the teaching style too- the subject might actually have been fun if teachers used some kind of spell to bring students into the past or something, but nooo, lectures were the way to go. This was supposed to be a school of magic, and this class had none of it. Perhaps she ought to write a letter to the headmaster concerning this. Nothing wrong with advice, right?
After what felt like an eternity, the class was finally over. Almost sighing in relief, Renelle immediately jumped up, swept her belongings into her bag, and started to head out the door. Or at least, she tried to. Because the very girl which had been behaving so oddly toward her the entire lesson stopped her with a question.
“Uh, not sure.” she glanced up at the board, not that it actually had anything written on it. “The essay, right?” Funny- from how immersed the girl, whom she now recognised as a Gryffindor from her red and gold robes, had been acting in the lesson, Renelle would’ve thought she’d have known what the homework was. It certainly was easy to tune out in this particular lecture, though, so she wasn’t going to judge.
She took a tentative step toward the exit. “If you’re not sure, you can just ask the professor.” Maybe it made her a terrible person, but Renelle was not fond of the idea of someone asking her for help all the time. It was frankly quite annoying and would most likely come back to bite them in the face later on, since she herself was no expert on these kind of matters.Interacting with @Sere Nade

The girl in the blue-silver accented robe seemed to be in a hurry to leave the classroom. Sere managed to get the answer from her skeptical question she asked to the girl that turned out to be taller than her when they are both standing.
The answer was not as complete and detailed as the professor said, but it far exceeded Sere's expectations who thought the Ravenclaw girl had not been paying attention at all during the class. Actually, the answer wasn't wrong at all. The girl's body response that seems like she really wants to get away from her made Sere feels bad instantly.
What are you doing, Sere Nade?! What was that on your mind?
Sere chuckled irritably to herself. It was you who want someone to sit next to you, right? At the end, this girl came up and instead of finding chance to know her better and asking for a friendship, you glanced at her simultaneously as if a dragon landed on her face!
"Wait a moment!" Sere shouted in front of the classroom entrance, "Please."
She stands in front of the Ravenclaw girl and said, "Umm... I'm Sere Nade. You can call me Sere," Sere bit her lip before saying, "I'm sorry."
She don't know whether the girl knew about her bad intention, but their first meeting is clearly a situation where Sere made a big mistake, "I... Honestly I know what task the professor gave us earlier. Seeing you -that look like- want to stay away from me, I know that maybe you know I asked that in a skeptical way. I'm sorry. I... I've never seen a student as relaxed as you in your study before. This is my bad, really."
Sere once again bit her lip, she apparently talking too much not only when she's excited, but also when she feels guilty. "Again, I'm really sorry... I really wanted to start a conversation with you because I've never have a desk-mate before, but instead of saying something nice, I immediately spit out bad thing. I will learn to control my words."
"Can we start over and maybe get to know each other properly? I mean, maybe not, but please give me a chance to change your impression of me." Sere hoped anxiously. She looks so ridiculous now, begging for a chance of friendship from someone that she herself wouldn't said yes to if she were in that girl's position. And yeah... She's really... annoyingly... talking too much right now.

Renelle gaped at the girl in front of her. Her mouth might have been open, but she was far too surprised to even register it at the moment. What the hell just happened? She’d just told the girl what the homework was, which had seemed like a perfectly normal interact, but had changed to a full-blown apology and begging for friendship in a second.
And had she really seemed so eager to get away from the girl earlier? She must have, because the girl admitted that she was afraid the Ravenclaw had been eager to get away from her. All Renelle wanted was to get out of the hot and stuffy classroom! It had nothing to do with the Gryffindor, and she was really rather annoyed she had made it as such.
And there it was, too— the sob story Renelle never asked for. Who was even that desperate for the approval of a stranger? If she weren’t so nice, she would say it was rather pathetic. But she was nice, at least she liked to think so. “Uhh… You honestly don’t need to apologise.” That part was true, at least. “I wasn’t even offended or anything. All you did was ask for homework, I really don’t care what horrible intentions you think you had.”
“And.. sure, I guess.” What else could she say? No? That would be like kicking a puppy, except worse, as Renelle didn’t like puppies that much. She didn’t particularly like this girl either, but at least they had something in common- species. Puppies just acted cute and expect you to give them food and shelter.
Feeling rather awkward, the brunette added, “I’m Renelle.” Why was this girl- Sere- so set on gaining her as a friend, anyway? Hopefully, she wasn’t going to start following her around or anything. She’d gotten enough of that at home with Arien, and it had not been fun. Like an extremely talkative shadow.Interacting with @Sere Nade

Sere could see the girl's jaw as if it is about to fall to the floor, have its own soul, and moving with its own will; as Sere told about her first bad intention with long narratives. Hearing the girl's response -who apparently was just annoyed by the stuffy and hot classroom rather that herself-, Sere opened her mouth wider: letting her jaw runs and plays with the jaw of the girl in front of her.
So, I exposed myself? What?! What happened to me?! I must be crazy!
Sere is at the point of embarrassment that makes her want to disappear right now. Let me guard the abandoned toilet along with Moaning Mrtyle! I can't be here anymore! I can't!
In the midst of her stormy heart, Sere cleared her throat, "So, you wouldn't know my bad intentions... if I didn't tell you directly just now?"
Despite her raging-because-of-embarrasment soul, it is actually feels like a little relieve that she was admitting her bad thought and said sorry. Did she just give me a chance? I didn't hear it wrong and would embarrass myself again, did I? I have to make a better impression!
Sere opened her mouth once again, "I think I need to thank you for the opportunity, Renelle." Sere thought about the next words, "Ah, right. I also told you my story. I was so annoying, even for myself."
"Usually I'm not this annoying... I guess?" The girl massaged her neck, "I tend to talk a lot when I feel so happy. Adding the fact for myself today, I think the tendency is also popped up when I feel guilty."
"Umm.. I want to meet you again, anyway. Maybe somewhere more interesting than the History of Magic class..." Deep inside, Sere also feels that this lesson is not interesting at all: it makes her brain stop thinking and start memorizing, "...as my apology."
Sere thought further. She is the one who inviting Renelle, it means that she has to choose the meeting place, right? Unfortunately Sere doesn't have any favorite place at Hogwarts yet. Seeing Renelle and her tanned skin, this girl got an idea. Maybe Renelle loves to play outside? I can introduce Buddy to her! I haven't take my bunny out since the first day here.
"How about the Grounds?" Sere explained, full of hope, "I actually brought my pet here. A bunny, the name is Buddy. I want to introduce him to you... Umm, only if you want it too. If you don't, we can choose other activities and places to meet."

Quite understandably, the girl mirrored Renelle’s own shocked face earlier after getting told that she had not, in fact, been annoyed with her. The Ravenclaw partly felt that this was rather amusing, partly sympathised with Sere- she couldn’t imagine how awkward it must be to expose yourself, then find out it was all for naught.
“Nope, I actually wouldn’t.” Renelle shrugged. “Like I said though, it’s just homework. No big deal.” Listening to Sere go on and on about what a horrible person she was and what a saint Renelle was for ‘giving her an opportunity’, the dark-haired girl had to admit, she was kind of afraid that Sere would start bowing to her or something out of blue, all throughout the monologue. She briefly contemplated cutting her off, but decided on just waiting for it to be over.
And Sere apparently believe she needed to take Renelle somewhere as an apology. Honestly, at this point, the Ravenclaw wouldn’t have been surprised if the girl offered one of her own arms to make up. But if the Gryffindor wanted to feel so sorry, who was Renelle to stop her?
The invitation to the Grounds did not make Renelle as ecstatic as one might expected; for one, she had no interest in going out with some random stranger, and a rather talkative one at that. She opened her mouth to say so, but just as the words started to come out of her mouth, she changed her mind: there was still some time until the next period, and her plan had been to go back to her common room.
However, that was really as boring as it sounded, and more importantly, it was extremely likely she would loose track of time again. Going with Sere meant that she was far more guaranteed to get to the next lesson on time, and she really could not afford to be late to two classes in a row.
All of this went through Renelle’s head in a split second, and the next, her mind was set. Straightening up, she looked Sere in the eye. “Sure. Let’s go.”Interacting with @Sere Nade

It feels like letting go her guilt when Renelle accepted her invitation. Yes! Sere exclaimed in her heart. The storm that had been inside her is slowly subsiding.
Okay, let's make another start with this Ravenclaw girl! Although it is clearly that I won't forget my embarrassment -at least until the of this year. Sere put her palms together, "That's good! Alright,"
Sere looked thoughtful. She forgets about something, didn't the professor give her a task to complete? Should I reschedule my own invitation? Sere is the type who immediately completes a task as soon as it is given, and because of her own invitation, she is now debating with her own idealism.
The reason I come to Hogwarts is to do something I've never done before. I should start it by not being too obsessive about doing tasks. And also, I already make promise. You said to yourself that promise is above everything, right Sere? Besides, playing after class is seems so... fun.
Sere smiled a little, "Let's meet again at The Grounds in fifteen minutes," The girl is thinking for a while before said, "You can also bring whatever you like... just if you want to share a little of your story with me."
Sere waved away from Renelle, move towards Gryffindor Tower to pick up Buddy. She hopes that Renelle will bring something like what she does, at least if not in the form of 'thing', she can bring her stories to share. Or maybe... Renelle will bring her favorite friend?
Sere looked back to the History of Magic class once again -hoping that something's exciting is coming at their second meeting- before really running excitedly towards her house. There are only two hours before the next class started -that's a very short time for her and usually she would come straight to the next class after the first one is done- but this time Sere doesn't care.
No one would try to tested you in skeptical way just because you are 30 minutes late, right? Sere shook her head as her mind starts to mock herself.

Woah. Share my story? Getting pretty serious, huh? Renelle bit her lip hard to try and stop herself from laughing at that sentence. Really, a curious onlooker might think they were some sort of brave adventurers, doing quests and slaying dragons, before meeting in a pub where they rested their feet. Sere talked in a refreshing manner. The good kind.
“Yup, I’ll see you there.” Turning and finally walking out of the stuffy classroom, Renelle took in a deep breath. Had the History of Magic professor ever heard of a thing such as opening windows? She swore, one day she would meet her horrible end there, whether by suffocation or boredom.
On the bright side, she’d gotten something to do in her two hours between classes. True, the Ravenclaw did not normally enjoy this much socialisation, but it wasn’t like laying in bed, thinking about how much she hated lessons was much better. Besides, she was going to get to meet Buddy the Bunny. And perhaps interview him on his feelings toward his name.
Renelle honestly liked being in Ravenclaw a lot, but why did their common room have to be so far up? True, the view was nice, but the journey up all those flights of stairs every single day was hell. Nobody ever told her being a Ravenclaw meant getting such an intense workout each day.
After what felt like an eternity, Renelle arrived at the entrance of the Ravenclaw common room. She walked in, dumped her bag on a random chair but he fireplace, then promptly walked out again. She wasn’t too concerned about thieves- at this time of day, mostly everyone was in classes, and she would be back soon.
Yup. This was going to be great. And that wasn’t sarcastic at all.Interacting with @Sere Nade
