In theory this should've been easy
In theory. In theory. In theory! Heather felt like her head was about to explode. In theory, this should've been easy, but it wasn't. Not a single bit. Ever since Heather handed her splendid essay to the professor, everything had been going downhill. She understood everything- when it was written on the chalkboard as an concept. But when it came to hands-on work, Heather was stumped. Maybe that was why she had excelled at the essay. She only did good when things were written out as a concept, like in the case of the essay. Or-no, she didn't have a problem doing real work in other classes, like Herbology or Charms. It was just in Transfiguration that she was struggling. All the theories made sense! But when Heather jabbed her wand, nothing had happened. And she couldn't blame it on her wand, either- it had been working just fine in Defense Against Dark Arts. Heather wanted to blame her failed attempts on anything but herself, but she knew she was probably the only reason she was not succeeding. Heather sighed. She would be grateful if she got an Acceptable, the last passing grade.
Heather sighed again and went back to the sad reality of her desk. Her notes were full, but they did her no good.
In theory, this should've been easy.
