"Oh, you know, I'm just practicing my frog-to-human communication skills."

"Oh, are you really. How's it going?" said Simon, playing in on what he concluded must be one of her jokes and not one of her more serious ideas.

When Delilah said goodbye to the potential diplomat from the amphibian realm, she patted him on the head and Simon took a mental note to remind Delilah to wash her hands before they ate in case she would forget it. As they steered their steps toward the hilltop, Delilah suddenly made it into a competition to get there first.

"Hey! You didn't even give me a warning!" Simon shouted and started running. "Minus three seconds for you! At least!!"

It was not an advantage to have long legs in the rough terrain. Despite Delilah being so short and carrying both her bag and her guitar case, she was surprisingly fast on her feet. She seemed to move with ease between rocks and grass tufts as if carried by the wind. When they finally reached the top, Simon could feel lactic acid in his legs and had to stop to catch his breath. He was used to running, but rarely uphills and with a packed bag. A mild breeze caressed his hair as he lifted his gaze and was met by a spectacular view over the highlands.

"Wow... Well, this is something you don't see everyday."

Spending the evenings in the Ravenclaw Tower had its advantages in terms of view, but seeing the area from the outside, with the magically built castle on the cliff, the Quidditch pitch, the Forbidden Forest and the Great Lake was just like watching an illustration from a story book. It was almost a shame that Muggles such as his mother could not get to experience this place, he thought.

"Hey," he said and held out his hand to offer Delilah a high five. "We did it. And you won. I suppose congratulations are in order. You conquered the hill. So, what does Your Highness want to name it?"

Delilah grinned mischievously as she accepted Simon's high-five, their hands meeting with a satisfying clap. Her eyes sparkled with a playful glint as she responded to his question.

"Well, Simon," she began, exaggerating a regal tone as she placed a hand on her chest, "I, Delilah, Queen of the Hogwarts Hill, shall hereby decree that this splendid mound of earth shall forever be known as 'Delilah's Peak,' in honor of my triumphant conquest."

She raised an imaginary scepter, which was actually a twig she'd picked up along the hike, and waved it in a grandiose gesture, giggling at her own theatrics. Delilah's adventurous spirit and penchant for whimsy always made even the simplest of outings feel like grand adventures.

With a sense of childlike wonder and a heart filled with adventure, Delilah spread her arms wide to the wind as they stood atop the hill. Her bag and guitar case were momentarily forgotten as she allowed the breeze to tousle her hair and whisper secrets in her ears. The world around her seemed to come alive, and for a fleeting moment, she felt like the ruler of a fantastical realm.

Delilah's stomach chose that moment to make itself heard. A low, rumbling growl emanated from her belly, disrupting the ethereal atmosphere she had conjured.

She let out a sheepish giggle, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. "Well, it seems even queens of fantastical realms must heed the call of hunger," she mused, her voice returning to its playful tone. "We'd better eat something."
