Mari was leaving her common room, and went directly, slowly to Lago Grande, to rest a bit and... do something very important that she must have done a few hours ago...

When Mari got there, she leaned against a tree, taking the letter from her parents and a parchment where she would write her answer from her pocket, Mari's hands were shaking, when she read the letter again... all those words... were worse than stabbing Mari in the heart, how am I going to respond to that!? Mari had her eyes in tears, holding the parchment and quill, Mari's hand was shaking, and so she first decided to make a small drawing to relax for a few minutes

Okay, I think it's fine like this, Mari had spent about 20 minutes making the drawing, because she knew she had to answer that letter as soon as possible, Mari drew what she saw from where she was, Mari felt that she was ready to write

Hello parents! How are you doing? Thanks for writing to me, that owl was... very hard to read, I can't stay away from it all, my family, my sister... I really won't, and hogwarts... hogwarts is my second home, and Slytherin It's my second family, I don't think I've ever told you what it means to me, but...

Mari stops writing and starts crumpling the paper No! I can't write it to them like that... they won't understand, Mari threw the parchment on her edge and grabbed another parchment she had with her, until... to Mari's surprise she sees someone approaching her, Mari tries to find out who it was, but it was difficult, until... It can't be!

Finally finishing all the homework that would be due soon, Sylvia put down her quill, wondering what she should do next. After listing all the possible options, she chose to go for a walk by the Great Lake, a place where she finds comforting and easy to relax.

As she was on her way, Sylvia suddenly remembered that the Slytherin girl, who she has met in their common room earlier that day, once mentioned that she was planning on going to the Great Lake to write a reply for her parents’ letter. The girl had seemed rather upset about the idea of leaving Hogwarts at that time, but she seemed to have felt better at the end of their previous conversation.

Not long after Sylvia arrived at the Great Lake, did she spot a familiar figure in the distance, leaning against a tree, possibly scribbling on a piece of parchment. Curious about what the girl was writing, but meanwhile not wanting to be seen yet, she quietly approached the girl from the back, hoping to sneak a look at what she’s writing.

Before Sylvia had enough time to reached the spot where the girl is standing, she unexpectedly crumpled up her parchment and threw in down on the ground. Happening to look up in Sylvia’s direction, she saw that her intention of been unnoticed wouldn’t work out anymore. Instead, she decided to introduce herself, since neither of them has done so yet. “Hi again, what are you writing? My name’s Sylvia Nightingale, by the way. What’s yours?”

Mari is surprised to see the girl she had talked about standing a few meters away from Mari, the girl seemed to be watching Mari without her noticing, but when Mari looked at her, she got closer, until she was close to Mari.
“Hi again, what are you writing? By the way, my name is Sylvia Nightingale. What's yours?" Wow, I told her something that I thought I wouldn't tell anyone so soon and I didn't even know her name! Have I gone mad!! Mari, give a little smile to her Sylvia before responding"Pleasure Sylvia! My name is Mari, Mari Alves, I... I was writing the letter..." Mari gives a big sigh, thinking about her failed attempt

Mari looks at the crumpled parchment next to Sylvia and recalls what she was starting to write "Well... I tried... but you definitely have no idea how difficult it is to answer that." Mari takes a brief look at Sylvia Hello parents, how are you, thank you for writing to me, but you just completely destroyed me!, that's what Mari felt, but how would she write this? !

Mari begins to lightly tap her quill on the parchment trying to come up with ideas on how to write " And you, Sylvia? Did you manage to do what you wanted? I hope you had time! I remember I was in a bit of a rush, right? ?Mari's The tone was a little more serious, the girl places the tip of the quill on the parchment in the hope of being able to write something

Sylvia found it rather hard to believe that they still haven’t introduced themselves to each other until now, especially after this girl, who she now know is named Mari, has been so open with her about their family issues. “Nice to meet you, Mari!” She added with a half-joking tone, “Though I believe it isn’t technically the first time we met. So what shall it be? Nice to meet you again, perhaps?”

Noticing how exhausted Mari seemed, Sylvia supposed that this girl is having some serious problems with writing back to her parents. She herself has never taken such an action as troublesome, but again, she hasn’t really had such a worrisome discussion with them before.

Coming up with a logical approach of how Mari could explain her situation reasonably to her parents, Sylvia hesitated about whether she should tell Mari about her suggestions. As far as she knew, some parents are easier to persuade with more emotional responses. Deciding that she can’t be of any help unless she knew more information about Mari’s parents, Sylvia inquired: “What are your parents like? I think I might be able to help.”

Slightly surprised that Mari actually remembered to ask about how she’s doing among all the mess that the girl herself is in, Sylvia replied briefly yet politely: “I’ve managed to find the letter which a cat took away in the end, but thanks for asking!”

Mari gives a brief smile, and shakes her head when she hears Sylvia's comment about "Pleasure", and actually she was right, we already knew each other, but at the same time we didn't... I think she shared Mari's opinion about how is it possible that we spoke, and I said that without knowing each other's names!

Mari was still a little thoughtful about what she could write, the girl with the blonde hair, was wanting to help Mari, which was difficult because she had never been in such a situation, but she was managing to help Mari anyway

Mari puts her quill back on the parchment, but before that, Sylvia asks Mari what her parents were like, Mari widens her eyes, a little surprised by the question, but at the same time it was to be expected, Mari gives a brief sigh " So... my parents... they are, they are..." Mari starts to think about what she would say, because even she didn't know exactly what they were, "They They are.. I like them a lot, but.. they wouldn't understand very well if I told them what things mean to me... like Hogwarts" Mari wasn't sure if that was what Sylvia he asked, but Mari was being honest, Mari's parents were very influential wizards in the wizarding world, perhaps too much so, and they had a very good adolescence at Hogwarts, which is what made them where they are today, but it was very difficult for them to realize that Mari was feeling the same

Sylvia was a little surprised by Mari's question and replied very politely, in short, yes! " Great, I'm glad you found it, the letter also seemed very important to me! And I can see why you entered the common room, looking for something/someone!"Mari says the end in tone jokingly.

Sylvia noticed that Mari is still quite shaken up by the news of her parents hoping to move to another country. Back in the common room, Sylvia has thought, rather naively, that the girl was already feeling much better. Guess I still have a lot to learn about others’ feelings. She thought, reminding herself that the majority of people don’t always face everything calmly, especially since this girl obviously still doesn’t know what to do yet.

Appearing quite surprised by Sylvia’s question, the girl managed to come up with an ambiguous response. Stuttering slightly with her words, which is probably because how upset and worried she is, Mari seemed to be trying to convey the idea that she had some communication issues with her parents.

Not certain what Mari had previously meant, Sylvia couldn’t possibly come up with a useful solution either. Remembering how taking a walk has often helped calm herself down, she suggested instead: “Why don’t you take a walk and free your mind from this for a while? No offense, but I honestly don’t think you’ll be able to successfully write anything down in your current mood.”

While hoping that Mari wouldn’t think that she is being too blunt, Sylvia laughed at the girl’s comment about why she entered the common room earlier that day. “Definitely! Though I still don’t understand, why would a cat be interested in a letter? Perhaps it could read as well?” She joked, hoping to lighten the atmosphere a bit.

Mari was still trying to write something, but had no ideas, the atmosphere became more relaxed after Mari talked about the girl's cat." Who knows!? Muggles also don't think magic doesn't exist, and yet.." Mari joked.

The girl had shown herself trying to help Mari regarding the letter" Thank you, maybe it would be better to take a walk around here, but I'm much better than I was half an hour ago (in the common room), I didn't even had the "courage" to start writing something..." Mari didn't think the girl thought that Mari was still feeling bad, from the moment she entered the common room and left, she changed very! Very much your condition! But maybe “humor” wasn’t the right word.

As Mari packed her things to get up and leave, she looked at Sylvia and it didn't make sense not to invite her to go too " Want to come?" Mari smiles at the end, not wanting to sound rude, " Actually... without you I could be in the hospital wing already... so than-... thank you, really Sylvia ! of not wanting/being able to tell anyone... fainting was a very possible event...

Upon considering Mari’s joke more carefully, Sylvia realized, rather amusingly, that perhaps the other girl is right. Who knows if that cat is an animagus? Instead of pure foul luck, it could also be an intentional trick, though she feels that she’s probably overthinking this accident. Choosing to take Mari’s words purely as a witticism, she said: “You’ve got a point! I’ll definitely keep an eye out for such an intelligent cat.”

Pleased to see that her suggestion has been accepted, Sylvia isn’t exactly sure whether she should go along as well. On one hand, she doesn’t really know how to comfort Mari emotionally, and she can’t give any applicable advice to the girl either. On the other hand, she believes that it would be better to let Mari figure it out on her own, since Sylvia usually finds it easier to think straight without anyone around.

Before she could find the right words, though, Mari expressed their gratitude for Sylvia’s help. Despite not being able to figure out how she had succeeded in making the girl feel better, she changed her mind and thought that it in fact might be better for her to accompany the girl on her way. After all, it seems like Mari appreciated her company and whatever help she has offered. To be honest, she don’t really know how to decline the girl’s offer either. “Seriously? I’m glad to hear that I’m actually of some help. So… where would you like to go?”

Mari couldn't contain her laughter when she heard Sylvia's answer about her cat! Who knows, we might even discover that your cat is an animagus, be careful!

After Mari asked Sylvia if she wanted to go with her, Sylvia seemed a little confused, putting Mari like that too, Mari couldn't tell in the first few seconds if Sylvia wanted to go or not, maybe she had something to do and didn't want to refuse... . But after Mari thanked Sylvia, she expressed her gratitude and that she was going too " Hmm, I was thinking about taking a walk around here, at the big lake... But not at the clear lake! What do you think??"Says Mari, ready to start walking.

In a normal situation, Mari wouldn't have gone out for a walk, nor invited Sylvia, Mari was more the type of person who, when she needed to relax, would go to a place (most of the time the big lake, or the astronomy tower), and draw, read it or just rest your head, but you've never been in a situation like this either, and half an hour ago (+/-), Mari shouldn't have gone to the common room either... but she did, and she feels much better, so... *possibly *wrong choices, they were working today, so... hopefully in 20 minutes Mari will have the letter ready to send!

Her focus gradually changing towards an animagus instead of the letter they were previously talking about, Sylvia started to recall the correct process of becoming one of that kind, which she has read about a while ago. “Yep, I’ve heard that in order to possess such an ability, you’ll have to keep a leaf in your mouth for one whole month. Can’t believe why anyone would ever bother to do that…”

Sylvia’s previous response has obviously put both of them in an awkward position, yet everything seemed to return back to its normal track again after she accepted Mari’s proposal. There’s a clear lake, and a big lake? What’s the difference between them? Haven’t been at Hogwarts for much long so far, Sylvia still hasn’t got an idea about most places inside this mysterious castle which is entangled with secrets. “How do you distinguish between the clear lake and the big lake?” Sylvia asked, not intended to choose either one of them before even knowing what they are respectively.

Briefly assessing the approximate time, Sylvia realized that they probably have at most one to two hours before dinner. If Mari, or more accurately, they couldn’t get it done soon, it’s only going to waste more time and ruin both of their moods. But I can’t really urge her to hurry up, could I? For heaven’s sake, how on earth am I supposed to provide consolation to someone who’s feeling terrible?
