I apologize if I came off as 'snarky' when I was simply being honest. I don't like animals, but I do like reptiles and bugs. I think people give them a wrong label, which is honestly stupid.

If you're reluctant to allow me to join, I will understand. I'm sure you've already allowed several first years in, and what is another one to make a difference?

I could also understand you not wanting thorough representation in your class. How many girls are interested in bugs, anyways? Most girls are grossed out by things that are smaller than their toenail.

Dear Mr. Weaver

I regret to inform you that both reptiles and bugs fall under the category of magical creatures. Magical creature is a pretty blanket topic, which means you have contradicted yourself a few times now. There are a lot of incredibly interesting magical reptiles out there, which we may cover. A good example of an indigenous magical reptile would be the moke.

I don't really believe that one year makes a difference either way. I think that it is more a question of mental maturity. As long as you follow the rules, which will be specified before the events themselves, we should not have any problems.

I do not know how many girls are interested in bugs, however I do not think that is going to play much of a role. I will try and get some interesting creatures, but getting them isn't easy, and it will take legwork on my part. I will probably settle for whatever is easily obtainable at the time.

While I understand your terms of creature, I specifically didn't say that. I said animals. Although, now that I think about it, both reptiles and insects are a classification of animal. I’m really only interested in the reptiles and bugs. And, of course, as I said in my initial application, if you don’t want all of them, I’d be happy to take them off your hands.

Regardless of the outcome, and whatever reason you’ve decided to accept me for, I do thank you for the opportunity. I’m assuming we’ll be able to pick and choose which ones we go to, granted you’ve put in plenty of hard work. Either way, I’m hoping for a good time and the ability to learn more, even if most of the animals aren’t really that interesting.
