Ara doesn't seem to mind Dora reading, in fact, she pulls out her own book shortly after. Dora looks at the cover curiously. 'The Shining..' She hasn't heard of it. Maybe she'll look it up in the library sometime. She definitely doesn't want to bother this girl about it.

Dora reads for about ten minutes, forcing herself to put it down after that. That's a long enough break to take, it's just too bad because the plot is so riveting. The monster, Frankenstein, actually makes Dora feel a bit sympathetic now. It's shunned because it's dangerous, but what if someone had taught it to be good? Who knows.

'No, you need to get back to studying.' She tells herself, going back to her notes. Thanks to Ara's notes, Dora was able to refine her own much more. She'll try to carry on writing in a more organized fashion from now on, not writing quite so much. With the main notes all highlighted, Dora decides to do one last review of all subjects.

Starting with Charms, she pulls out a list of all the spells they learned this year, and the correct pronunciation and wand movement. The earlier ones she's more used to, and the later ones she practices more. Then, when reviewing the spell history, she can't find the information she's looking for. Should she ask Ara? She doesn't want to bother her...

She probably waits a good five minutes until Ara closes the book she's on, and finally nervously asks now that she's at a pause. "Um, sorry to bother you, but, um.. do you know who invented the Unlocking Charm? I can't seem to think of it, or find where I wrote it.."

Ara continued studying until Isadora asked who invented the Unlocking Charm, Ara thought for a bit and answered, "It was invented by an African Sorcerer who then taught it to Eldon Elsrickle, who used the spell to rob muggles." The girl finished studying a few seconds later and continued with 'The Shining'. It was getting to the interesting part now. Reading her book, Ara made occasional glances at Isadora while she was studying what she presumed was Charms.

After a while, the book became predictable, and she set it aside for now. Ara began to zone out and just stared at the wall, thinking while she rested her face. Her resting face always looked like she was staring daggers into your soul. A minute after staring into nothing but a wall had passed, a sound made her snap out of it. 'Oh my gosh, when will I stop doing that? ' She sighed as she got her jet-black hair out of her face.

Ara grabbed her Transfiguration notes and reviewed them another time, just to not stare at the walls. The ravenette didn't really know what else to do. Besides reading, reviewing, and having a conversation, she didn't know how to start.

"Ah, that's right.." Dora replies, a little embarrassed for not remembering. She makes sure to write it down and underline it in her notes. "Th-Thank you."

Studying with Ara isn't bad. She's very quiet, like Dora. Of course, this does make Dora a little anxious when she makes noise, nervous that the other girl will be annoyed. But she never sends Dora a harsh look, putting the Hufflepuff a little more at ease.

She also seems to be an avid reader, as Ara pulls her book again after a while. Dora finds reading to be a nice escape from her daily routine, fascinating worlds full of interesting stories. But now's the time to be reading something more useful, so she turns back to her Charms studies. Once she's satisfied that she's memorized all the spells (though she still feels too awkward to work on her pronunciation right now), she looks over her other books to see if there's a subject she missed. Her eyes flick up to look at Ara at one point, and her heart clenches. Ara is staring very.. intensely.. at a wall. At first, Dora thought she was glaring at her, and her heart just about stopped. But no, Ara is looking slightly past her. 'Is something bothering her?' Dora wonders, a bit intimidated, 'Or is she just thinking?'

Dora keeps to herself and is at a bit of a loss. After checking and double checking, there really isn't anything left to go over. She could start over, yes, but she's getting too tired for anything to really sink in. That, and she's getting a little hungry too, she hasn't eaten much today.

But is it enough? Dora really wants to be prepared for her exams. They're basically the real judgement of how much you've learned over the year. Part of her wants to prove that all the E's, they were just flukes. That she knows better now.

She finds herself looking at Ara absent-mindedly as she thinks this. Ara just looks like the perfect, diligent student. 'I wish I was more like that..'

Reviewing Transfiguration wasn't that bad. Ara studies to be noticed in her family, and she wants to keep her straight Os. She was just reviewing it again since she forgot a few things. She was now getting bored like she didn't want to review because she already did 3 times each subject and the book she brought was predictable. Ara laid her head down on the papers in front of her. She crossed her arms on the table and put her head on it. She thought about random things until she had nothing else to think about.

The ravenette was tired but not the usual tired she always was, the tired when she's unmotivated and doesn't want to do anything but at the same time she's bored. Yes, Ara is a diligent and rather smart student who got good grades but she had too much free time on her hands to do anything else because she didn't have many friends and all her hobbies are mainly at home and in her dormitory. The girl looked up and noticed Isadora looking at her. "Is there something on my face?" she asked, lifting her head a bit.

She looked at the emerald-eyed girl, waiting for a response from her.

Dora must have been staring for too long because Ara catches her and asks. "Is there something on my face?"

"Oh, no, you face is lovely. I mean-!" Dora flushes, not meaning to say that, "I mean, your face is fine."

Wonderful, now Ara probably thinks of Dora as weird. Or if she doesn't, she's annoyed for Dora distracting her. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt your studying. I just lost focus." Another thing Dora is terrible at that Ara seems to excel in.

Maybe she should just leave, find someplace else to study and leave this girl alone. Dora just wants to escape the awkwardness she created and hide somewhere. She's pretty good at hiding, too.

But no, she can't just hide all the time. Lately, Dora's tried to be braver around people. For her grandmother, for Ruby.. and with encouragement from Tesla. If she can't handle a conversation with one person, how can she expect to do anything else. So, Dora falls back on one of the tenets of her House and decides to try being honest.

"The truth is, I was admiring your work ethic. Your notes are so helpful, and you must make good marks, too." Her words are nervous, and she hopes she's making sense.

Isadora told her she has just lost focus. "That's fine" Ara said, going back to her studies. She was bored, like really bored. The ravenette has already memorized everything she needed to and at this point, she might as well memorize the whole book. 'What the hell am I supposed to do besides studying, reading, and writing? WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO' she thought chaotically.

Isadora spoke suddenly and Ara's thoughts were interrupted. She said that she admires her and she must have good marks. "Haha ... I guess? I mean I was forced to study at 4 years old and then it just became a habit mostly. I also study during summer with tutors and they still give me work during school." She complains. "Besides reading, studying, and writing, I don't know what to do on my own in Hogwarts." Yes, Ara is that lonely. The only company she has is her siblings and her thoughts. Another problem is that Ara would get bored easily and would just look at somewhere and think.

'AUUGHHH IM SO BORED' is all that's in Ara's mind. 'I would rather go to a ball rather than study... wait did I just think that? EDMUND CAN YOU ANNOY ME RIGHT NOW?' she thought, desperately.

At first, Ara's seeming disinterest in Dora makes the Hufflepuff want to shrink back and make herself small enough to disappear. But once she has the courage to actually say something, the response she gets catches her by surprise.

"Haha ... I guess? I mean I was forced to study at 4 years old and then it just became a habit mostly. I also study during summer with tutors and they still give me work during school." Ara says, not sounding so happy about the fact, "Besides reading, studying, and writing, I don't know what to do on my own in Hogwarts."

It strikes Dora how similar their experiences are. Most of her life is comprised of studying too, to the point where some people have pointed it out as strange. Dora is used to being thought of as strange, at least. "My Grandmother tutors me and my cousin." Dora whispers back, relating to Ara's words. "She gives me a lot of work too." And that would be okay if her instructions weren't so vague. 'Study harder!' She's really trying, so hard that it exhausts her. Dora's starting to feel exhausted even now.

Maybe it's time to go. Especially seeing the bored look on Ara's face, Dora thinks she should best be on her way and stop bothering her. She hesitates, though. There's something familiar about Ara that she can't quite place. She has a sort of air of... loneliness, maybe? But that's silly. A girl like that doesn't need to be lonely. She's smart, and pretty, and probably has a ton of friends. Dora's just misreading things again and being a nuisance.

Packing up her books, Dora places Ara's notebooks she used in a neat pile and slides them over. "Thank you again, for sharing. Good luck on your exams." Dora politely says on her way out, "I'm sure you'll make your family proud."

'My Grandmother tutors me and my cousin. She gives me a lot of work to do' Isadora says. "My grandparents are pretty calm really. It mainly my great-grandparents who would do that stuff. All they care about is purity even though it's not really a main priority in our family" Ara explains.

She remembers her great-grandma Kyoko lecturing her and her siblings that at least all of them have to marry pure-blooded individuals. Meanwhile, her daughter, Ara's grandma was telling her that at least one of them will and the others are free to marry whoever they want. It wasn't a good memory since it made all of them make the decision to just make her great-grandma live in another house and not with them. But it was necessary to get her out of pressuring them to make their bloodline purer than water.

A few moments later, Isadora leaves and on her way out, Ara says, "I'm sure you will too"

The girl stands up and stretches. She picks up her things and even wiped the table a bit, like the clean freak she is. She appreciated the fact that Isadora left her notebooks in a neat pile before she left. 'That was quite productive. Unlike others, Isadora wasn't annoying' the ravenette thought. With all her things in a tote bag on her shoulder, she walks to the Slytherin dorms and passes by her brother, Edmund, in the common room. "Where were you? I thought you were at the library but you weren't there?" He says. "I was in another classroom. The library is crowded these days. Also why were you even looking for me?" She replies. Edmund sighs, "I wanted to annoy you" After that response, Ara sighs before going back to her dorm room to write.
