You're Not Charlie

Ava hadn't seen Charlie all day, and she beginning to wonder where the heck her friend had gone. She assumed Charlie was just having a lazy day in her common room, but there was no way for Ava to know. So she had to go and find her friend herself. There were drawbacks to not being in the same house as your best friend, the largest one being you had no clue where your friend was at any given moment since you didn't even know what floor her common room was on.
Ava was dressed in her slytherin robes even though it was the weekend, preferring to blend in since she was searching the entire castle and, with her reputation, would probably be subject to a lot of suspicion. Unless you looked closer at her, she looked like any other slytherin student hanging around in the castle halls, looking for a friend. Nothing suspicious about that.
She ended up in the west tower in her search, after hours of walking the halls. In short, her legs ached, her site was going blurry and she would much rather still be in her common room taking a nap as she assumed Charlie was. She was about to give up her search, and she leaned gloomily against the wall in defeat.

Credit: @Damion WhiteBailey had had the day to herself, and after a day of pampering herself - aka sitting reading in her bed, with some tea and a stack of romance novels, cuddling with her cat, and wearing a sheet mask - she had decided that it was time to go do something productive. Deciding to change into a dress - yes she was hoping to see a special someone - she got all dressed. She was wearing a blue dress, light blue sandal heels, a light blue pendant that she had gotten on holiday, and her two favorite rings - a Ravenclaw diadem one, and one from her father - and she also added a light white cream cardigan to provide just a tad more modesty, as she was at school and didn't want to get detention for something as petty as the dress code. Holding her light blond hair back was a white headband with light blue embroidery giving it a border.
Grabbing her bag of sheet music, bailey also grabbed her wand, and her water bottle, both of which she slipped into her over the shoulder cream bag that also held her notebook, another book that she was mid way through reading, and a letter to a friend she needed to send.
Giving twinkle - her cat - one last pet on the head, Bailey stood and walked out of her dorm, down the stairs and out of the common room. Bailey soon stumbled upon a face she knew, but hadn't seen in a long while.
"Ava!! hiii!!.... are you ok?" she said, concern growing from her excitement as she saw how defeated ava looked. The younger girl, now a second year, was leaning dejected and defeated against the wall.
Bailey stopped where she was, and a moment later progressed the few feet to Ava's side. Setting her bag of sheet music on the floor, she reached out with the back of her hand to feel Ava's forehead to see if she was feverish before she stopped herself. "sorry - i got ahead of myself there. but are you ok? Is something wrong, school, friends, a guy, something that happened over the summer? it's ok if you don't want to talk about it too, you can always tell me to shut up and or leave..." Bailey's chatter stopped, as she held herself back from more verbal vomit. She tended to talk a lot when she was nervous or concern, and currently she was concerned about what was bothering her friend.╚══════════════.♥.════════════╝Tag: @Ava Winchect also @Nara Alora for helping me pick the outfit board!!

She glanced up when she heard someone say her name, her body tensing, preparing to either fight or run. It usually isn't good when someone knew her name and she didn't instantly recognize her, meaning they could only know her name for one reason: her actions. Ava flinched, the realized who was talking to her. "Oh, hi, Bailey." She sighed as she muttered under her breath. "You're not Charlie."
She flinched out of habit as Bailey advanced toward her, not used to Bailey and frankly untrusting of her. The older girl dropped her bag on the floor as she jabbered about something Ava wasn't paying attention to. She only looked up when the words trailed off, and sighed. "I was looking for Charlie Jacobson, a ravenclaw, but I couldn't find her common room so I searched the entire castle for the entrance and didn't find it and now I'm here giving up." She vented, and as she was speaking she had an amusing thought. She always seemed to vent to ravenclaws, even if she had just met them. It was quite the reputation to have, honestly. Perhaps her meeting with Clair had rub off on her. Or maybe she should've been placed in ravenclaw, which was why she connected with them the most (doubtful with her grades).
Ava stared at Bailey and blushed. "Hey, you're a ravenclaw, right?" She was tempted to ask Bailey to go and get Charlie for her, but she knew how rude that would be. It almost slipped out of her mouth but she bit her lip and stared Bailey down instead.

Credit: @Damion WhiteAva had frozen when bailey called her name, and it seemed like the younger girl was ready to run - or to fight. concerned laced bailey's expression for a second, before fading. if its a fight she wants... im in no position to win for once bailey thought ruefully, glancing down at the blue sandal heels she had chosen to wear.
Ava flinched when she realized that it was bailey speaking - and bailey took a step back. no one ever flinched upon seeing her.. usually people loved her, were excited to see her. had she done something to make ava dislike her?
Ava greeted her, sounding disappointed, and then muttered something under her breath.
When bailey advanced closer to ava, concerned for the younger girl, ava again flinched back. A moment later, in reply to bailey's jabbering, ava told bailey that she had been looking for @Charlie Jacobson.
Bailey knew that the two girls were quite close, and wasn't surprised when Ava mentioned that bailey was in Ravenclaw.
"i am a ravenclaw, actually - not like you could tell by what im wearing or anything!" Bailey laughed lightly, hoping to soften the air around them.
"i don't think i saw Charlie in the common room, but..... i could go check...?" bailey offered, hoping to help ava. She bent down to pick up her discarded bag, slipping it back over her left shoulder.╚══════════════.♥.════════════╝Tag: @Ava Winchect
