Anna browsed among the vast shelves of the library, searching for more source material. In her hands the pile of books was getting bigger and heavier by each row of shelves she passed. Finally noticing she walked over to the desk she occupied and sorted them down by date. She huffed, annoyed slightly that she wasn’t allowed tea in the library, she could really use a cup. She finally sat down and grabbed a random book from her pile to browse through.Date: End of May 2023
She was waiting for a boy that would be her project partner, if she remembered correctly his name was Landon. The professor of History of Magic assigned group projects to complete for the end of the school year, and she assigned students at random. She hadn’t met Landon before so she hoped he wouldn’t slack off and expect her to do everything just because she was a Ravenclaw. She would be more than thrilled to do it for sure, but this was a group project and she expected him to pull his weight. Anna shook her head to clear her thoughts, she hadn’t even met the boy, she shouldn’t jump to any unnecessary conclusions. So she leaned back and waited patiently, she sent him an owl the day before and he should be arriving shortly.

Landon was excited for the project for History of Magic, even if he was nervous about meeting a new person to do it. He needed to make friends. He was a friendly and loyal sort of guy; he just got nervous with girls because of how intimidating his twin could be. He knew that most girls weren't like Harper though, so he tried really hard not to be so nervous around them. Landon gathered his things as he prepared to meet with the girl named Anna.
He came into the library, clutching his notebook and favorite pen as he walked. He had received the owl and knew that he was supposed to meet her there. He looked around, trying to figure out who he was supposed to meet with. He hadn't really gotten much of a look at her when they were told that they were partners in this project. Landon had been too focused on writing everything down in his messy scrawl. He saw a girl about his age who had a stack of books on the Salem trials in front of her and approached. "Umm... A-Are you Anna?" he asked. "I'm Landon," he added. He hoped he didn't just approach the wrong person. He was very friendly, just a little shy at times. Landon smiled kindly and set his things down on the table in front of him, prepared to pick them back up if he had chosen the wrong person to approach.

Anna stopped looking over her material as an unfamiliar voice asked if she was Anna. Lifting her head she noticed the boy from her History of Magic class, and he did introduce himself as Landon as he set his things down. He seemed shy and stuttered a bit as well. Smiling kindly Anna nodded. “Yeah, I’m Anna, nice to officially meet you Landon”. She moved some of the books around so there was enough room for both of them. Then she noticed his chosen materials.
“Oh, are those Muggle school supplies?”, Anna tilted her head and looked over them again, highly interested, “Do you mind if I have a look?”. She smiled brightly, she did see some Muggleborns carry around different things, but she never really stopped and examined anything really, so why waste this perfect opportunity.
“Oh, by the way I picked up some books I know will help us. If you want you can browse for some more, or we can get started”. She picked up her quill, and unrolled a bit of parchment, placing glass pebbles, that were her favourite parchment holders, on the ends of the parchment. She was getting ready to write some key points for their project.

Landon smiled kindly as he looked at the Ravenclaw girl that he was supposed to be working with. He moved to sit down at the table with her, thinking a little. He wasn't sure what to start with on their homework, especially since he was not used to working with girls. He was okay with it though. He wanted to get better at dealing with girls because most of them weren't as intimidating as his twin sister. Harper was a scary person at times, though Landon still loved her. "Nice to meet you," he said as she introduced herself.
Landon looked a little surprised as Anna looked at his school supplies. "I... I just find I prefer pens to quills..." he admitted. He nodded as she asked if she could have a look. He knew it was weird for a Pureblood wizard to be using Muggle school supplies, but he had never felt comfortable with the quills and parchment that most wizards used. His handwriting was messy and quills just made it so much worse. "Go ahead and look," he said with a small smile.
Landon gave her a bigger smile as she said that she picked up some books that would help them. He glanced through the books and their titles. "I-It looks like you chose some good ones," he said. He picked one up as she laid out her parchment, starting to flip through the pages until he found something that fit what their project was supposed to be about. "Y-You definitely should do the writing. My handwriting is really bad..." he admitted. He was more than happy to do some of the reading for the research aspect of the assignment.
