Having an elder brother, Eric Grace, Eli's family was like any other. They lived in a cottage in Manchester, England where she spent her early years. Her parents, Mary and Will, were surprised to see that Eli bore magical powers, just like her father.
Born a cold, dreary day, Eli has a certain liking for winters. Her favorite thing to do for when she is not on a walk outdoors, is to get a good old mug of hot coffee and read a book. She has a best friend, Mia, and she has a cat she adores named Puffers.
Eli has always been a quick learner, and has always loved baking. This culinary interest of hers has led to her spending hours in the kitchen, experimenting with various flavors here and there. Some worked, some didn't, but she never gave up hope. She was extremely proud when she baked her mother a cake on her 38th birthday, oh what a day it was.
Drawing and writing has always been her escape from the world. Even from a young age, she would always require something to keep her occupied. Like her mother used to say, "Sharp kids are trained from the beginning." And she obliged.
Having a free soul from her childhood, Eli has appreciated small things in life and has been taught to be grateful.

Eli was playing in a garden when she was about nine years old. With her innate fear of dogs, she started screaming and running upon seeing one. Feeling fright fill her body, she panicked and unknowingly moved a small crayon with her mind, without even touching it. Initially in shock and fear, she ran to her mother and told her all about the incident. Her mother let out a carefree laugh and that is how she got to know that she was a witch. They rushed to see if she could do it again and their eyes lit up with a sparkle upon seeing her moving the crayon in the air, and later after practice, a book too! The rest of the family got to know a little later that Eli, like her father, was not a muggle. It came as a surprise to all but everyone took it well and were excited for Eli to start wizard school.
