Seamus sat on an east-facing hill of the Hogwarts grounds, basking in the fading heat of the autumn sun. It had begun to dip low in the horizon, making the shadows grow long. Done with classes for the day, the lad had elected to spend the remainder of daylight outdoors, and he now entertained himself with picking up nearby rocks and rolling them down the hill, seeing how close he could get each one to the last one rolled. Ideally, he would hit it.

In the distance, the Forbidden Forest loomed, the last place most students would want to venture into, but the only place the Seamus wanted to go. Of the stories that his mother had told him of Hogwarts, the forest intrigued him the most whenever it was brought up. What secrets lay hidden within? What long-forgotten treasures were simply waiting for someone to uncover them?

The boy picked up a piece of slate and sent it too down the hill. The flat stone rolled more like a wheel than a sphere, tearing holes in the grass with its sharp edges before falling on its side and completing a few lopsided tumbles before coming to rest a significant distance from a piece of granite that was intended to be its target. Disgraceful.

Seamus raised his head and rested his hands on his knees, gazing deep into the deepening gloom beyond the trees. It would be so easy, all he had to do was stand, dust off his hands, and walk forward. Consequences be damned, he wanted to see centaurs and bugbears and all the other fantastical creatures he’d heard stories about. Going in alone, however, was a daunting prospect.

Today's weather was sunny, the atmosphere outside was extremely pleasing and everything about it had been gentle. Mother nature had decided upon permitting the sun to bring warmth in different parts of the earth. While even so, some locations remained either cold or hot, depending on the temperature of the region.

Even so, nothing had stopped Atlas from exploring different parts of the castle after class. At this point, he might have seen most of it, if not all of it and met amazing people.
The Hogwarts grounds was a place where the Slytherin boy never set foot. Not that he did not want to, but his classes had started and he also had to focus and ace his homeworks and focus on practising spell casting.

Within a few minutes, the young Slytherin boy found himself there, he noticed an unfamiliar someone who had their attention fixated on the place where we were restricted to enter. The place was well known for its vicious creatures that reside there. Well, there are tons of stories told about the location. Enthralling? Yes, it was. One of Atlas's goals was to venture to the forest and see what it had. He was an adventurous boy and perhaps he could have his first adventure there. Regardless, he had to follow the rules. But would that mentality last long?, it seemed like the thought of being at the forbidden forest did lure the boy though.

Perhaps the other boy had the same temptation that the Slytherin boy had. So he started by saying, "temptations of wandering in the unknown have grasped you by the neck too, huh?" He inquired whilst his eyes also glared at the forbidden forest. "Hello, my name is Atlas Anderson. I saw you glancing at the forbidden forest. It seems like a fascinating location to be in, but we are likely to get into trouble if we ever broke the rules. As much as I'd like to go there myself, I'd rather not have me expelled," he chuckled a little while turning his attention from the forest to the other boy.

Seamus glanced up as a boy his age wearing a Slytherin badge approached, clearly reading the yearning for adventure written on the half-giant’s face. He grinned as the newcomer, Atlas, introduced himself. Now here was someone who shared his intrigue with those forbidden trees.

“Seamus,” Seamus returned the introduction with a casual salute, “O’Clary, if we’re being comprehensive.”

The large lad leaned back, drove his palms into the hill, and hauled himself upright. He dusted off his hands on the knees of his robes and regarded Atlas. The boy had a desire for knowledge, same as he, but he seemed more concerned about the rules as well. Perhaps he could change that. The forest was off-limits, except when an expedition was forced as punishment. By that logic, shouldn’t the detention room also be “forbidden?” Besides, there wasn’t a fence or other hard boundary to prevent students from entering, or to even separate a clear “inside” and “outside” the woods.

“They can’t expel us just for looking at it,” Seamus mused, “and where is the boundary even drawn? I don’t see a line drawn in the dirt. Is it the first tree? Half a meter outside it? Within visual distance within it? Seems arbitrary to me.”

Seamus was an extremely interesting person. The first person Atlas found fascinating after meeting Monica Evans, the Prefect of Slytherin. In any case, Atlas could not resist giggling after the other boy introduced himself.

“So formal," said the Slytherin boy, Atlas, deduced from his emblem that the young man came from Ravenclaw house, a distinguished house known for its wit and wisdom.

Atlas then gestured for his face to face where the forbidden forest was located. The Hogwarts staff would not expel them simply for gazing and feeding their curiosity, the other boy had made a valid point, but honestly speaking, what if it wasn't a simple gaze as others could perceive but rather a plan to enter the forbidden forest?

Young people have a propensity for having quite wild imaginations and being out from parents' sight can only imply one thing—the freedom to let one's imagination venture and run wild as well. Sadly, the Hogwarts staff was the only hindrance on students' paths.

“and where is the boundary even drawn? I don’t see a line drawn in the dirt. Is it the first tree? Half a meter outside it? Within visual distance within it? Seems arbitrary to me.”

“Don't Tell me you want to cross over and go to the forbidden forest," the Slytherin boy said, raising one eyebrow and directing his look at the Ravenclaw boy. “My dear friend, that idea will be quite mental of us," he said after pausing briefly.

"Yes, 'us'." He replied in an affirmative tone—because he was considering exploring the Forbidden Forest too. “There is a way we can visit the forest without drawing attention to ourselves.” Atlas said, "If you get a camo cloak, we might find ourselves exploring the unknown." Like a typical Slytherin, his mind was planning and concocting mischief.
