End of Summer
“End of Summer” - 2nd September 2023 - 3PM - Outfit: School Robes
Even if it was already September and autumn was right around the corner it was still warm outside, a perfect weather to study outside and get some fresh air before colder temperature would lock everyone inside. Damian spent nearly the whole summer at home with his parents lecturing him and making sure he was properly prepared for his first year at Hogwarts and now that he was free to wander wherever he wanted he thought it would have been fun to spend an afternoon outside.
He had taken a blanket from his dorm and placed on a free spot in the courtyard, so that he could both sit and lay down if he wanted to; on top of the blanked he placed all his books and left his notes in a small leather bag so that they wouldn’t be accidentally blown away when he wasn’t looking. Finally, Damian took a seat on the blanket and took the first book of the pile.
It was truly relaxing for once, to just be there, enjoy the nature and the sun on his skin and on the book he just opened and have a chill study session. Even if he liked other people’s company, he had always studied alone at his pace and never even tried joining a study group; that afternoon wasn’t an exception: once again he was alone with his books and his thoughts, occasionally moving the gaze away from the book to mentally repeat what he just read and look at the courtyard, scanning the surroundings to look at the other students.

The Hogwarts castle is extremely huge with tons of places to visit. It is easy to get lost within the premises of the castle and all its wonders. But the nicest thing is, Atlas seemed not to be the only first year that galivants around. There seems to be a whole lot of them wanting to explore the depth of the castle.
The Slytherin boy had seen locations that were quite interesting. Example would be the Astronomy tower. It was mentioned that Professor Baird is the one teaching Astronomy and that is one of the subjects that the young Slytherin boy is actually looking forward to.
Nevertheless, the tour around the castle had been alright so far, but then, the boy needed time to relax for a bit. He then decided he would visit the Courtyard. The courtyard seemed to be a chilled location and there were not many students lurking around but, there was one boy who Atlas is not familiar with. This caused him to become excited to meet someone new.
He started walking, heading towards the direction of the stranger that seemed around his age "Hello there!" he smiled whilst waving at the other boy. "My apologies for disturbing you. I was just wandering around and exploring the castle, then I found myself here, " he let out an awkward laugh, not holding back from talking " My name is Atlas Anderson. I got sorted in Slytherin house. What about you?" He asked politely with a smile on his face.────────────────────────────────

“End of Summer” - 2nd September 2023 - 3PM - Outfit: School Robes - Interacting with @Atlas Anderson
The afternoon was flowing quietly, giving Damian a good dose of quality time for studying and relaxing in the sun. He saw students come and go, most of them in groups or couples, but there were some loners too. He asked himself if perhaps he looked introvert to the outside, considering how much time he was spending by himself studying since day one. Truth was he really missed some interactions, but the pressure he got from needing perfect grades and becoming the top student was way too strong to focus on something else.
He realised he was lost in his thoughts again when someone approached him: a boy who was likely a first-year student like him was coming in his direction; he didn’t know him, and since he had spent who knows how much time wandering in his mind he had no clue on why the boy was approaching him specifically.
Damian moved the book he had in his laps on the blanket, leaving it open for now but away from his body, and looked at the boy’s figure. “Hello.” he replied with a neutral tone, waiting for him to continue. “Ah, don’t worry. I’m here to study and get some fresh air, I thought it was a good place.” he pointed at the pile of books on the blanket to show him what he was doing and why he was there. “Nice to meet you, Atlas. I’m Damian Hills, Gryffindor.” he moved just enough to let Atlas sit on the blanket, if he wanted to.
“But I’m still thinking about why, to be honest. I didn’t expect to be sorted in Gryffindor.” he added; he wasn’t the type to reveal much to strangers, but that was something that was troubling him just a bit too much, and maybe talking about it with someone else would have helped him.

Atlas regretted having to interrupt a quiet study session because the other young man seemed to be quite laid back and when he returned the greeting, the Slytherin boy immediately relaxed.
He started debating whether he should stay or leave the other person be as he said that he was hoping to catch some air, but he opted to stay and interact with the other young man and get to know him.
The Gryffindor boy then introduced himself as Damian Hills, and because Atlas could see that he was really acting hospitable, he chose to remain quiet and simply sit next to him while he widely grinned.
When the other student mentioned he did not imagine being placed in Gryffindor, Atlas wondered why he had been placed in Slytherin but he chose to ignore the thought.
“It's really understandable Damian—The sorting hat is never wrong. I mean, I was born and bred in the muggle world, so all these things came as a complete surprise. It wasn't until the sorting hat sang that song that I learned much about these houses. There is a lot to learn in this place, and I don't really know much about the wizarding world," he said. Damian's past was something that the Slytherin boy should have inquired about because he was interested in hearing from him. “"What about you? Were you born here?—in the wizarding world?" he inquired, hoping that the other boy wouldn't find his query intrusive.────────────────────────────────
