When Ara got to Hogwarts, she knew that her top priority was to check out the library as soon as possible. Her brother had told her a lot about, and from what he had said, it must've been huge! And it was. Ara wasn't disappointed by the book choices of the library. She started collecting as many books as possible until the books in her hands towered over her head. As she continued walking, scanning the shelves as much as she could, she realized that it would just be selfish of her to take that many books all to herself anyways. She had to choose only one. So she chose a book about the history of magic. She put the rest of the books back in the shelves and started looking for a place to quietly read in.

Suddenly Ara saw a Slytherin girl sitting in a corner reading a book, a book about people in magical history. Ara accidentally gasped loud enough for the girl to hear it.

"You're into the history of magic too?" She walked up to the girl and turned the book around, so the front cover of it was facing the girl. "As embarrassing as it is, I find history quite interesting, especially the history of the witchcraft and wizardry world." She noticed how alone the girl looked. Ara felt sympathy for the girl. She pointed to the empty spot on the floor next to her. "Do you mind? It's just that, I've never really seen anyone that reads a book about History willingly. If you want to keep reading alone, I understand and apologize for bothering you." Ara got a bit shy noticing how straightforward she was with the girl.

To say that Sage was surprised was an understatement, she would have never guessed that someone would actually walk up to her, nonetheless someone who shared the sane interests as her. "The history of magic is quite cool, isn't it? It's really interesting to learn about." She smiled at her, her tone quiet and slightly shy.

"I don't mind at all, we could..we could read together, if you'd like? If not I can just give you the book, I don't mind! Really. I understand if you would just like the book.." She rambled out, she was nervous and it showed. She has never had many friends, she's always kept to herself. She stayed quiet and just followed along, she was hoping that being at Hogwarts would bring her out of her shell just a bit. But, it was hard. She didn't know how to make friends very well because she has never had many friends. She is trying her best to actually walk up to people recently, even if it causes her a slight panic attack.

Sage has always been a very quiet and shy person, she's trying her best but it's definitely hard for her to talk this much.

Ara smiled at the girl once she allowed her to sit besides her. She sat down besides her. She watched as the girl turned more anxious to Ara’s sudden appearance and tried to calm her down. She knew exactly how she might be feeling. Making new friends was difficult for Ara as well, she had no idea how in Merlin’s name did she just start that conversation, just like that, but she did feel pity for the girl. “Oh no it’s okay! I have my book right here, you don’t need to give me yours.” She smiled warmly at the girl and opened her book.

“If you don’t mind me asking, what’s your name?” She asked the girl, curious about her. She looked at her robes and noticed the Slytherin colours. She pointed at her robes. ”You’re a Slytherin? What’s that like?” Ara knew some things about- and some famous people from the Slytherin house, but she wanted to know more. Her brother, who was sure Ravenclaw was the best house always said that Slytherin was no good, but Ara didn’t listen to him. She knew that her brother only found pride in his own house. It was safe to say that she was very intrigued to get to know the girl.

Sage smiled at the girl a bit, she then responded, "My name is Sage Voleson." She responded with a small smile. She was still nervous, but less so. The girl had a calming aura about her, It made her feel a bit better. She then paid attention to her other question, being a Slytherin was..ok? I mean, there was a lot of stereotypes of being a Slytherin, and a lot of people who were not the best people in the world. She hadn't experienced any bad things from her house just yet. But she knew that a lot of people felt strongly about Slytherins.

She answered the question, "I guess, being a Slytherin is ok?" She laughed a bit and opened her book again. "What's it like being a Gryffindor?" She asked. She was actually interested, she knew that there was a lot of famous Gryffindors, for loads of different things. She supposed there all the houses had famous people, for a variety of different things. It was quite interesting to think, there had been thousands, maybe even millions of kids here since the beginning of Hogwarts. It was really cool to think about. She shook herself out of those thoughts quickly, smiling a bit.

”Well it’s nice to meet you Sage. My name’s Ara Vindicta, well Ara Fleur Vindicta to be precise, but the middle name is kind of just not really important. You can just call me Ara, if you’re comfortable with that of course. ” and it’s true, Ara had always introduced herself as just her first and last name. She didn’t have some kind of bad blood against her middle name, but she felt like it wasn’t that important. Most of het friends back in the muggle world don’t even know about Ara’s middle name.

When Sage asked Ara about how she felt being a Gryffindor she took two seconds to think to herself. “Well to be honest, I haven’t really thought about it too much. Sure, when I got sorted I did analyse my personality I guess, I was a bit surprised that I was sorted into Gryffindor. I actually read about Godric Gryffindor in a book before I got here. Did you know that the sorting hat is actually Godric’s hat? It was enchanted so that it could still sort students to houses, even after the Hogwarts founders’ deaths.” At once Ara remembered everything she read in that book and everything she learned from it. She smiled to herself, she felt happy to share something that really interests her with others.

“Do you like to read? I mean I take it you’re a fellow reader, considering your reading position.” Ara chuckled a bit. “I read like that all the time as well, especially if a few trees are around to read beneath.” Ara looked at Sage who opened her book again.

“I do apologise if I’m disturbing your reading, I can always leave you be.” Ara said warmly smiling. She really hoped she wasn’t bothering Sage, she was just so excited to finally meet someone she got a conversation going with. She wanted to ask her so many questions at once, mostly about books, but she couldn’t let her curiosity get the best of her. She had to remain patient.
