Reducio.A plain and simple country girl, Kit stands unremarkable in the crowd. Never a fan of in vogue attire, Kit had always preferred modest, casual, and practical clothing. Rarely adorning her body with accessories, jewellery, or any sort of make-up, she is indifferent to her natural charm. Her skin is still youthful and smooth light skin, though tanned from the days she spent under the sun. Perfectly symmetrical, Kit's features are a little sharper than the rest of her age, yet they still retain girlish curves. Petite lips of a light red were set onto her face. Her nose would always wrinkle in the most charming way whenever she felt frustrated for angered. Dirty dark brown hair falls to Kit’s shoulders, often unkept and a little wild. She doesn’t care about her hair, and while her mother buys her all sorts of accessories, she never uses them. ReducioKit is a girl with every skill of an intellect, yet she chooses to use them for deception instead of honest knowledge. Still, it is not wasted. The girl has a genuine love of knowledge and could always take the extra mile to learn and discover.
Kit never calls herself a liar, for she is much more. She uses her body, her history, her movement, much more than just her voice. She is an actress, in every respect, embodied with flexibility and adaptability. Wherever Kit goes, mischief usually follows. Often, she had no particular output for her cunningness other than mischief. Kit isn’t afraid to get into trouble, even if she only did it for the sake of fun.
Yet, despite her seemingly shady nature, Kit is also fiercely brave and tries to be noble. Always up for a challenge, her courage can often turn to recklessness and naïvety. Kit stands tall in front of fear and is one to fight whenever anything she believes in- or her friends- are challenged.
And despite her apparent dislike of stepping out of the shadows, Kit was a leader at heart. What she loved was control, was stepping to the frontline and representing the entire group behind her. Despite seemingly ignoring her peers, she would not hesitate to step up when needed. She would not be afraid to make sacrifices — of course, only if it benefited her as well.
She is mentally conflicted, her angel and demon in constant disagreement, always unsure whether to listen to her angel and catch a smile on other’s faces, or listen to her demon and get the most enjoyment out of the experience. Though, deep down, Kit has a heart of gold. She simply hides it, fearing it would make others think of her as a “goody-two-shoes”.

Growing up, Katherine had always been an only child. She had never needed company, though. She could entertain herself, take herself on adventures. Yet sometimes, lack of company often led to boredom, which was the root of her mischief. However, if asked, she would say she never would want a sibling, not even a partner in crime. But, perhaps deep down, what she longed for was a playmate, a friend she had never had during her childhood.
Katherine's childhood friendships her incredibly scarce. Whether this might have been because of her sometimes dislikable nature, or by her own will, she had never had a genuine friend for that eleven years. Muggle school had always been tough for Katherine. Her grades often dropped to below average. She had never been popular, never put herself out there. And despite her athleticism, she had never found a sport she truly enjoyed. Katherine didn't mind, though. She was her own friend. She sustained herself. While she didn't have much hobbies, wandering the fields or swimming in the creeks around her home was something she always found enjoyable.
Margot and Alexander had found a way to coexist. Alexander, a healer, brought magic into small, daily tasks, to move along their lives swifter. He often worked the night shift, though, rarely having a proper evening with his family. So Katherine grew on her mother. Margot was a Muggle, but she never needed magic either. She worked as a chef in a nearby restaurant and even though sometimes her work kept her late, she could always find time for Katherine, especially on Tuesdays, when the restaurant would only be open for special occasions. Therefore, the child became indifferent to magic. It was not such a significant part of her life anyways.
Kit had always been a nickname for her, one that Alexander used, but Margot never liked. Despite her father's rare appearance, Katherine treasured her time with him. In fact, when asked, she might even say she liked him better than her mother. Alexander was much less strict and much more caring. And so the name Kit stuck, and eventually, as Katherine turned eleven, she would want people to address her by Kit. It made her feel freer. It made her feel herself. That would be the name she would continue to use for the rest of her life. Katherine? Never met her.
The letter had not come as a surprise. It would change her life — in the best ways.
