Kristin headed from the Duelling Club, where she had watched a round between a Ravenclaw boy and a Gryffindor girl. It was one of her favorite past times, watching Duelling, and she couldn't wait for when it was her turn to do the same. What she lacked in physical strength, she definitely made up in her aptitude for casting spells, especially ones regarding transfiguration and charms.

She finished some strawberry flavored cookies she had been munching one, whipping her hands on her skirt. As she walked through the halls and began to daydream based off a conversation she just had with a student, about dementors and the Patronus Charm. Kristin wondered which Patronus she'd have. Her stepmother had a meerkat, and her father produced a moose. Her grandmother said that hers was a puma, and that Kristin's late mother had an alligator. Kristin knew that a person's true spirit produced the animal from the Patronus, and she wondered what hers would be like. Unfortunately she has to wait till her sixth year to attempt the spell...legally, of course.

Kristin walked into the girl's lavatory, holding her breath for a moment before slowly easing in the smells. Today they had beans for lunch and some other dishes, and she swore she heard more than a few people claim that they had stomach issues, and some of them were feminine voices. Luckily the bathroom wasn't too bad so she walked into a stall.

Unfortunately the one she was in didn't have toilet paper, and she didn't realize until she was doing her deed. Kristin sighed and banged her fist on the wall. "Hello? Can someone give me toilet paper? Seem to have run out."

Suddenly she felt a weird sensation on her arm. Kristin glanced down only to see a big spider on her arm. "EEEEEEKKK!" She cried, trying to flick it off. She didn't want to make too much movement since she still hadn't gotten toilet paper to clean herself. "Oh, bloody hell!"

Cassiopeia does not know what they were expecting when they walked into the lavatory but they were planning to just hang in there until they got bored but then they hear a voice say, "Hello? Can someone give me toilet paper? Seem to have run out."

"Sure let me just--" Then there was a loud EEK from the same stack they heard the voice come from. "Oh bloody hell!"

Cassi quickly got a roll toilet paper out of the nearest stall and went toward the girl's stall, "Here you go funny person with the vulgar language, my mom and mama would wring my neck if I even thought about cursing like that but luckily they aren't here. What's your name? I'm Cassiopeia but for the love of God call me Cassi."

Cassi really wants to know who the mystery person is, they've always been curious and really really friendly (well friendly for about 5 years).

Cassi almost thought the person was a ghost because her eek was really high pitched and hilarious, like a whistle or when Ariana Grande hits a whistle note. They are finding it weird that they are thinking about this white giving someone toilet paper but that's just how their mind works.

Kristin didn't like things crawling on here, but she also didn't like to kill things, even bugs. She'd rather just put them somewhere where they could be safe, but a claustrophobic place such as the bathroom stalls was a little to small for thinking about anything but getting away from it. She and the spider tangoed for a bit, trying to get away from each other, until the spider crawled over the stall into the next. Luckily that stall was empty, or that person was oblivious or indifferent to a spider being in their stall.

She heard a few giggles around and smirked herself, even though she had just been shrieking with fright. Kristin took the toilet paper from the girl who was nice enough to give her some and thanked her. The girl introduced herself as Cassiopeia and mentioned her vulgar mouth, which Kristin snickered at. After finishing with the toilet, she left the stall to finally see her savior.

It was a girl her year who had a lot of curly, ginger hair and green eyes. She was really pretty, too. "Thanks, Cassiopeia," she said, smiling. "And my pa said that foul things calls for foul language, and we're in the lavatory, so..." She laughed at herself. "I'm Kristin!"

She went to go wash her hands, scrubbing hard because she felt like she had touched too many things while trying to make distance between her and that spider.

A thought came up to her head. "You said lucky they aren't here...does that mean that you want to curse, in particular?" She raised an eyebrow. Her own parents were never that strict about what she did, but she knew her grandmother wouldn't be okay with her cursing, especially in school. But just like Cassi said, lucky they aren't here.

"Kristin, I feel so betrayed you said the Forbidden name." Cassi says with the dramatic flair people love so much about them, "And also yes I really do want to curse, badly but unfortunately my older brother goes here. You're prettier than I expected, not that I expected you to not to be fortunate looking."

Kristin is a pretty girl with light brown skin and with really dark brown eyes, and the hufflepuff yellow make her eyes stand out. Wait...Hufflepuff Yellow! "You're a Hufflepuff? I would have thought you were a Slytherin with an eyebrow raise like that."

Seriously Cassi thought she was a Slytherin, not that it's an issue that she's a Hufflepuff, Cassi loves hufflepuffs. Their green eyes have a spark of mischief as they say, "I think I'll call you Bunny, because you are adorable."

Cassi is trying hard not to laugh as they look at Kristin with a feigned innocent look, batting their eyelashes ''innocently''. Cassi can be very mischievous when they want to, some bunnies have brown eyes right?

Cassi is feeling extra nice today so that was one of the less embarrassing nicknames, they almost said quiet a few sickly cute names. They smirked while looking at Kristin to see her reaction.

This girl was one heck of a person. Kristin thought she was strange, but in Hogwarts she's met all types of people, and they never failed to surprise her!

Cassi joked about Kristin saying her full first name, which she smirked about, and explained how she wanted to be vulgar herself but her older brother attended the school. Funny enough, because Kristin had an older brother herself who went there. But Osian didn't care for family rules while they were there, because it would be too tedious to keep up with them when their family was so far away. Besides, he cursed himself, though he didn't like to admit being anything but a good, responsible child.

Kristin had to laugh. Prettier than she expected? Concerning her looks, Kristin she was decent. She didn't think too much of her outside appearance because...well, she hadn't had much of a reason to besides not looking to unkempt for her grandmother. But now that she was going to school, and was going to be around kids who... probably that she was good-looking in that icky way, she wondered if she'd have to start considering her looks more. If I want to like any of the people, anyway.

The girl, who at closer inspection happened to be a Slytherin, seemed so surprised to find out that Kristin was a Hufflepuff, which made her raise an eyebrow again, which had already made Cassi suspect the house of serpents. Honestly, Kristin had seen more Ravenclaws do that than any else. Or it was enough to make both them and the Ravenclaws head to head.

"Bunny? Of all names! And it doesn't have anything to do with my name, either. She couldn't think of a name for Cassi herself, but figured it would come with time, if they ever end up crossing paths again. "I have an older brother who goes here, too, but he wouldn't care what I say, as long as I don't annoy him too much he won't get my grandmother to send me a Howler. I like just getting her muffins for now, yeah."

Kristin inquired her again, about her name. "Why don't you like Cassiopeia," she asked, emphasizing the name. Sometimes she just liked annoying others. "It's just a name, really." Kristin didn't care what others called her, as long as it wasn't disrespectful. She was a little glad she wasn't Muggleborn for that reason; she didn't know how they dealt the possibility of being called Mudblood. People ended up calling her Kristin or Kris these days, nothing more, nothing less.

"Cassiopeia was a queen who though she was more beautiful than season nymphs and made Posideon mad, so to calm him down she tied her daughter to a stone to sacrifice her to the kraken. Some people know mythology really well and might assume that I'm vain or cruel. My mom picked it because she read somewhere that it means 'She Who Chooses To Excel' so that's something." Cassi is out of breath at this point from rambling so much.

"I guess it is kinda silly that I'm so worried about a name huh Bunny. Cassi's tone was teasing and humorous when they said their nickname for Kristin.

My brother is a Ravenclaw 4th year, what about yours? Cassi is now curious about Kristin and her family, maybe then Cassi could tell her about their family.

From what they've heard it seems like that she gets along pretty well with her family, and she's somewhat allowed to curse. That seems like a dream, but Cassi wouldn't change their family for all the cake world. Cassi is a huge fan of cake and mysteries, and challenges but mostly cake.

Cassi looks at Kristin for a minute with fondness in their eyes, It's official they're friends now, even if Kristin doesn't know it yet.

Kristin cocked her head to side, pursing her lips in confusion. Even though Cassiopeia was a beautiful name and had that history behind it, she couldn't see why anyone would be that bothered to judge someone based off the meaning behind their name, unless it was based off a really well-known character, and if they actually acted like a bad person. From what the first year could see, most people only seemed concerned with names if it was from a famous wizarding family, or if it was a really silly name, like Offendoble. Not that Kristin was one to really judge based off something like that. Heck, her own surname was a bit silly, if people thought about it, since it contradicted her very nature.

"I wouldn't worry about all that if I were you, your name. Most people here are more concerned with who's better at anything, from classwork to Quidditch. If someone's judging you by your name, they probably need to go to an adult, honestly." Fortunately Cassi seemed to know it wasn't that serious by her remarks afterwards.

"My brother is in Ravenclaw, too! But he's a third year. His name is Osian, maybe they might know of each other because of their same houses. But I wouldn't bother looking for someone who looks like me," said Kristin, pointing at her unique features of red hair and brown skin. "He's only my stepbrother."

She grinned at Cassi, noticing the warm look in her eyes. Despite all the negative connotations about Slytherin's, Kristin actually hasn't had too many rowdy interactions with them. They seemed to just be people who were protective of what they cared about, and sometimes overprotective, but in a more sly way that made them stand out amongst the others.

"Say, why do you insist on calling me Bunny? What of it? Do I look like I have flappy ones to you," she asked, miming bunny ears in emphasis.

"Say, why do you insist on calling me Bunny? What of it? Do I look like I have flappy ones to you," Cassi laughed so hard their stomach started hurting, once the settled down they could finally talk.

"You remind me of one of those ginger bunnies, My aunt has a whole bunch of them she even has the ones with spots." Cassi happily explained why they gave Kristin such a silly nickname, before saying, "I have to take you to see them sometime, fair warning she has like a hundred pets."

Everytime Cassi goes to her house they always leave covered in fur, because of their aunt's cats and of course the bunnies. Aunt Vick is a very unusual person, she's 28 and should not have as many pets as she does but she does have 2 kids. Her kids are like Cassi if they identified as Cisgender and had blonde hair.

Cassi especially wants to show Kristin the bunny named ginger, she is covered in ginger fur and had sparkling onyx eyes. She is very Hyper switches emotions very easily, you never know when or if Ginger's happy or hungry because she acts the same way even when she's hungry.

Does Kristin like bunnies, it would be very silly if bunny didn't like bunnies.

Glad I remind someone of an animal. But at least it was a cute one, a bunny rabbit. Kristin hadn't seen too many up close, nor had one as a pet. She wondered what it was like to have a whole farm, basically, of them around you like Cassi was implying. It was better than being made fun of because of her wild, curly red hair.

"Yeah, that would be cool to see. I haven't seen a bunch of bunnies at once before, nor a lot of animals, besides the zoo. But that's different from having them inside and around your own home."

Kristin had a cousin on her stepmother's side who sold animals, magical or not, as pets, especially exotic ones. He loved to get rare ones. He had started off as just a breeder but eventually made a business out of selling them as animal companies and familiars. Kristin only seen him when he came to visit or at family reunions, when he brought an interesting animal for everyone to see, but she had never gone to his home or store to see them for herself.

The Hufflepuff realized that she had been in the bathroom for quite a while. She didn't mind talking to Cassi but not in the bathroom. Besides, she had to get back to class.

"Well, I have to go back to class now, hope to see you again, Cassiopeia." Kristin gave her a big genuine smile and left after waving goodbye.
