Closed Summer League Field Day

London, and really the whole world, always felt different in the summer. This northern land was always so depressing and dull colored throughout the year compared to Sebas' native Spain. Not to mention, much wetter and colder. It seemed that the people truly came out of their grumpy cocoons in the warmer months. That meant the normally rude fans would be both rude and energized.

"Still better than dealing with students." He caught himself saying as he considered the cacophony of noise and over-stimulating sea of colors.

The new job had not been as glamorous perhaps as Deputy Headmaster, or a Professor at a prestigious school like Hogwarts, but he had a good setup. Security was key at such a massive event. Past dark wizard lords had made a show of doing major damage at them. It's a large gathering for someone to make a name for themselves. Good or bad. On or off the pitch. Sebas had been hired due to his skill with defensive spells, runes, and general ability. A past job as Cursebreaker really paved the way for him to know how to get around protections, so he knew how to stop others from doing it.

One of the biggest threats, however, is that Hogwarts was out for the summer now that it was mid-August. Ex-Students and co-workers were more likely to appear at an event like this. Field Day at the Quidditch Stadium meant mini games, tours, food, drinks, and a Quidditch exhibitions between whoever could be gathered.

The Spaniard stood near one of the game booths where participants tried to magically enlarge or shrink a ball to make it pass through obstacles. It was honestly his favorite one, but he was here to work. His kit was a nice tunic that noted him as security and his wand clipped to his belt for easy grabbing. He wore some protective gloves and boots as well to ensure he didn't get anything nasty from tossing out a child or drunk.. or both.

I hope none of my students find me...

Kit was quite enjoying himself on that warm day, used to the heat thanks to having been born and raised in Arizona's deserts in America. He had heard about Field Day and come to find out what all the fuss was about, curious about the games and food and all the other festivities promised at the event. It sounded a lot like a state fair back in his home country and he was excited to participate.

Quidditch was something he didn't quite get, not when the whole game and all the players except one on the team could be made pointless with the acquiring of a golden ball, but that didn't mean there weren't other things to like about the event. Stopping at a magical booth to learn about its game from the person in charge of it, the ex-caretaker found himself partially distracted by a man standing nearby. He was dressed rather nicely and had a foreign look to him, not because of his clothes but his physical features. Once the person behind the booth was finished explaining about the game with the ball, Kit nodded, smiling, before turning his grin on the man wearing the security uniform.

"Hmm, looks like fun. Ever tried this one before?" he asked the stranger with a tilt of his head.

When you think you're alone - that no one cares and you don't matter, please remember: You matter to me.

A stranger had approached the booth alongside Sebas, who had assumed they were coming for the game not to chat. The question had slightly caught him off guard as he had expected people to just about fully ignore his existence. He gave a slight head nod towards the other and took another moment before he spoke up.

"Yes, I've been a fan of this one for a while. It's challenging to be fast enough to get the spell done in time and skilled enough to change the size properly. Unlike other scams out there, this one is passable for a skilled wizard." The Spaniard noted with a bit of pride in that last quip. His accent was subtle, but there was something of a Spanish accent to his words. He did mostly grow up at Hogwarts, not that others may know it.

A kid with their parent tried to win the game, only to fail miserably just in time to prove Sebas' point of it being challenging. A small smirk crossed his face as he observed it, then turned his attention back to the one who spoke to him.

"I would suggest preparing to lose some coin in practice runs before learning it well. That's how they get you." He added on afterwards, getting a bit of a stink-eye from the booth owner. Sebas offered an apologetic grimace that was only met with mumbling by the booth.
