Just like any other weekday, this Wednesday also consisted of walking from one classroom to the library to the study room for Winona. She walked through the corridors with several books held close to her chest. To make sure that she had indeed brought the right books with her, the Slytherin lowered her head to take a peek. This lack of attention to where she was walking might have been the reason for what happened next.
Suddenly, she felt a strong impact on one side of her tiny body—the shoulder of another student, whom she had bumped into unknowingly. The unlucky girl held her books tightly to avoid dropping them, but due to the impact, she lost her balance and hit her back against the nearest wall. It did hurt, though not too much, but it was still something she did not anticipate nor want to happen in the first place.
The pale girl let out a sigh of annoyance before speaking, "Ughh, did you do that on purpose?" She didn't want to lash out and tell the other to watch where she was going since Winona herself was not doing that to begin with. Apologizing was not a habit of this girl in the slightest, and she thought the other girl could have avoided this incident from happening.

Madi was not in a great mood. She was feeling very surly. She'd been trapped inside the library all week, trying to finish her many incomplete homework assignments. She also hadn't been sleeping well and was exhausted, and she ended up sleeping late into the morning when she did get sleep and had almost missed several classes. This was not her week.
She was trying to get to class, she'd lost track of time that morning and had forgotten she had class. She was walking extra fast, trying to get there on time. She looked back for a second and bumped into someone. Madi turned to look at who she had hit and saw a girl knocked into the wall. She was going to apologize and offer to help her up before the girl asked if she had done it on purpose, and Madi snapped back into her bad mood.
"Why on earth would I have done it on purpose? It was clearly an accident. And it wasn't like you were watching where you were going, either." Madi snapped. She hated when people said things were on purpose, even when they could see that they were accidents. Madi wasn't normally rude to people, but she was not feeling herself.

Winona quickly regained her composure, standing upright once again. With one hand, she brushed away the wrinkles and dust from her clothes. The collision seemed to have a lesser impact on the other girl, who appeared to be more athletic compared to the Slytherin. Winona pushed her glasses back up her nose and tucked a few strands of hair behind her ears while observing the Ravenclaw student.
"Calm down, klutz," Winona said. She recognized her share of the blame, yet she was still anticipating an apology. "I'm not invisible or anything. You didn't need to walk up to me like that." Her words were followed by a pout on her pale face, giving her an almost childish appearance.
What's it with Ravenclaw girls looking for trouble? Winona wondered. Not long ago, she had found herself engaged in a heated argument with another one. Despite feeling a strong urge to relive that moment, she aspired to be recognized as a proper young lady, not a bully. Choosing the right thing to do, Winona continued, "Just say you're sorry and go on your way." Apparently, demanding an apology to cool things off was the right thing to do according to the egotistical young girl.

Madi did not need to deal with this today. Maybe she had overreacted a little bit when the other girl blamed her, but still. That didn't give her a right to talk to Madi like that.
"I wasn't watching where I was going, and neither were you. So will you stop blaming it on me?" Madi rolled her eyes. This girl was immediately extremely annoying to her.
And she was just trying to go to class, so she should have just kept walking, but for some reason, she didn't. She didn't really know why she didn't just walk away, but she didn't. She was ready for an argument, even if it meant she missed class. The girl wasn't even being very rude, but Madi was still going to argue with her instead of just shake it off and head to class, like she should have been doing.
"I'm not going to apologize. I would have if you didn't immediately begin being rude. And you don't get to just demand an apology from someone." Madi said. Stubbornness was not a common trait of Madi, but she could be very stubborn at certain times, especially when she wasn't in a great mood. This was one of those days.
