Oktoberfest Halloween Party Closed

Serena gave the new girl a small smile, which probably looked a little creepier than she had planned for given her costume. She nodded in agreement, "Nice to meet you, Elena. Yeah, I don't blame them, given what happened last time..." She trailed off, almost muttering the last part absentmindedly. It was as though she was talking to herself, really. But the party was definitely quiet. Looking around, it was easy to see how quiet it really was. It was a shame but she could not say she was surprised.

With a slightly puzzled looked, Serena turned back to Elena, "Aurelia?" She asked, wondering which one she meant. The Hufflepuff could think of perhaps a student by that name in her own year. She vaguely recalled it from all of the prefect duties that she had but she could not think of what her surname was, "Yeah, I agree with Nico." She replied, agreeing that they would help cover her if it helped to avoid any drama. "Did something happen between you two?" She asked, more out of concern than simply being nosy. The girl may have stepped down from her duties as Head Girl not too long ago but she was still concerned about the school and the students. Arguments and fights were very common in Hogwarts but the Professors did not seem to care... It was, at the very least, something she could care about.

She nodded politely, the grin on her face suddenly growing. She was not trying to brag or gloat, not at all. Rather, she was just excited. She loved her cloak. It was, by far, one of the most important things to her. "Yeah, my granny gave it to me over the summer!" She replied, her tone suddenly a little more excited than it had been previously. The invisibility cloak was her pride and joy these days.

"Nico, I'm going to grab some cookies, would you like some?" She asked as she motioned over to the food table. The munching girl had definitely made her start wanting some food and the recommendation was one that she would go by. Based on the way the girl was eating them, it was a safe bet to trust her decision. Serena did not want to just walk off but she was also not sure if the pair of them wanted to go to the table together. They were not too far, so she offered to get the food and see what happened. Serena smiled warmly at Nico, noticing that the girl had become more quiet again. She hoped that her smile gave her a little comfort, if nothing else.
