Back in Australia, Alyssea had a friend. Whenever Alyssea was about to audition for a show or apply for clubs, her friend never failed to tell her, "Never back down". It was a bit hard to swallow that phrase and believe in it, but the memory of her friend warmed her heart. But if there was one thing her friend would want her to do, it would definitely be to "never back down" and keep fighting even if she was losing.

She fired the Flipendo and rejoiced when she heard Zach's "Ouch!" She finally landed a hit after how many rounds? It wasn't a significant hit. But it was progress.

But as her spell hit, a tickling sensation climbed its way up her throat and she let out an uncontrollable series of laughs. How ironic. Alyssea had tried to fire that spell earlier with no success.

How crazy did she look right now? If there was one character she felt like from a show she'd done, it would be Ursula from The Little Mermaid. Not that she ever played Ursula; her voice didn't suit the part (she played one of the maids instead), but the laugh and the dancing combined certainly felt like she was back on stage.

Hopefully, the effects won't last long. Her actions were limited otherwise.

Slow, Slow, Quick, Quick, Slow.

The rhythm of tango was clear as day with those heels, resounding through the dueling club which is enough to tell that Alyssea was still under the Dancing-feet spell despite the smokescreen. That and accompanied by constant giggles due to the Tickling Charm but those spells were slowly wearing off. Still, giggling and dancing would take a lot out of someone's stamina as it is quite tiring. The hold of those spells were loosening up but of course, Zach would still want to take advantage of them while they are still active.

A quick cast while the target was distracted, the incantation of 'Incendio!' echoing throughout the room. The cast was successful, signified by a bright flash of light from Zach's direction. His aim was spot on despite the smoky atmosphere, the smokescreen becoming his ally all throughout the rounds that it was active. The sound of tapping and Alyssea's silhouette had been his guide for this spell of his, the flames tearing through the air and bursting as soon as it hit its target, heat creeping up to the Hufflepuff girl, threatening to set her on fire but luckily, no clothes were lit.

As for Alyssea, one could say her luck had run out in this round. Her spell almost failed to come out despite the preparation that she did. Perhaps the spells casted upon her are starting to mess with her focus in which no one would blame her. The duel isn't exactly in her favor, one would say that she should probably forfeit but Alyssea doesn't seem to be that kind of girl. No, she had decided to keep going. While her spell wasn't as spectacular as its first variation, it was still casted successfully. Her aim however, was thrown off by the sudden burst of flame coming for her, hitting her right on the stomach. Heat would be felt on that certain area and who knows if it had left a mark or not. Well, at least she wasn't on fire.

It was starting to clear up and Raizel could finally see clearly on what's going on. Both duelists are still standing and have no signs of stopping just yet. She took a quick glance at both and while Alyssea looks a lot worse than Zach, she was still in this game. No need to stop it just yet.

Her steps began to slow down and the tickling reduced to light touches on her skin which was a relief. The smoke also began to dissipate around them. Her spell never hit Zach, but that was to be expected considering she was dancing and laughing at the same time. How much to bet her aim wasn't even anywhere near him?

It wasn't helped by the fact she almost caught on fire. When the Indendio hit her, a searing pain erupted from her stomach. Alyssea yelped and clutched her stomach. She expected the flames to engulf her, but luckily, they didn't. Her clothes were singed at the seams, but they weren't aflame. That was probably the best thing to have happened since she cast the smokescreen in the first round.

When the smoke cleared, she didn't exactly know what to expect. She had barely hit Zach and he'd landed some pretty mean punches on her. How bad did she look with the dancing and the burnt clothes? Her ankles were still fine.

What would she do, now? The playing field had levelled off a bit, despite the hits she'd taken. Would she make it right to the end?

She could only hope this spell would make it.

Fire! Zach listened the sound of Alyssea's heels to check her position. After that, he pointed his wand towards her and made a flame-like wand movement then cast, "Incendio!" The tip of his wand emitted orange light and conjured flames toward his opponent. Through the light of the flame, he was sure that his spell hit her. Zach also heard a spell was cast by Alyssea, the Knockback Jinx. Zach was ready but he didn't feel anything. It seemed that the spell failed to hit him. A smile bloomed on his face after knowing that.

However, just a moment after that, Zach wondered if he was too mean to Alyssea. He had been put on a Dancing-Feet Spell in his past duel (he winced his eyes at Raizel) and knew how uncomfortable it was. Dancing on the heels and laughing uncontrollably? Man, it was indeed a lot of cardio work there. If Zach was on her position, he would be in a slumber after the duel ended.

The fog started to slowly fade. He could somewhat see his surroundings. He decided to focus again before the fog completely disappeared. What action should he choose? Will Alyssea still dance and laugh in the next round? He hoped he was still lucky in the next round.

Both duelists can be seen as clear as day now that the dreaded smokescreen had gone away. The sounds of Alyssea's heels tapping the floor had come to a full stop as well with the spell that had taken control of her body had finally died down along with the crazy laughter from the ticklish sensation.

The Hufflepuff looked like a mess from where she is standing, dancing and laughing taking a huge toll on her stamina leaving her there trying to catch some air in this brief moment of planning for the next move to make while the Ravenclaw boy looking a lot better despite getting hit by a powerful Flipendo that packs a punch.

Raizel was quietly observing, much like what she did when she watched a duel just last Saturday. Unlike that duel where Lea had remained unscathe against Winona, Alyssea and Zach had managed to dish out some damage on each other although this one is more in Zach's favor than Alyssea but who knows if it'll remain like that for the rest of the duel.

In hopes of stopping Zach from getting hits on her, Alyssea had decided to try out one of the spells that were taught during their first year. A bright green light shone from the tip of her wand before being sent towards Zach, Alyssea managing to cast a decent Green Sparks Charm.

Zach was preparing his own spell at that time, trying his luck with another Dancing-feet Spell in hopes of probably being able to watch the dance moves now that the smokescreen had cleared up and Raizel would like to see it clearly. Unfortunately though, or perhaps, fortunately for Alyssea, her green sparks must've surprised Zach which had thrown his aim off and she magnificently avoided the incoming spell for her with a quick twirl to the side.

"Woah!" Raizel's eyes lit up upon seeing that dodge from Alyssea. While she had seen better dodges, namely, Lea's backflip and Ming's midair dodge, that one was awesome as it was done with heels on. It's hard to imagine that Alyssea's feet aren't aching after dancing and dodging with heels on.

Casting the Verdimillious wasn't meant to do much. She knew it wouldn't do any damage and even out the playing field, but she could potentially blind Zach. Now that she'd learned her lesson with Fumos, she'd have to blind him in a different way that didn't sabotage her own performance.

Sure, she could've chosen any other first spell, but it's called tunnel vision, okay? She didn't realize how much it would limit her performance. Prior to this, she only ever learned spells and used them in class.

When she heard the incantation, her heart raced. She did not want to go through the spell again. Quickly, she fired her sparks and twirled straight out of Zach's firing line. It seemed her instincts were right because the spell flew right past her by a margin. She also didn't risk blinding herself with her own spell with that motion. She already blinded herself once, she didn't need it again.

Alright, so, she'd successfully blinded Zach. It wouldn't do any damage, again, but it'd mess with his aim. Should I continue to lower his defences or attack? Alyssea didn't quite know. The blinding effect of the sparks were temporary, so she'd have to take advantage of it quick.

"She… What?!" Zach was utterly shocked by the fact that Alyssea could dodge his spell. With. Those. Heels! It was so crazy because how can those torture device could give her so much protection. It made him think whether he should get heels too or not. But the reason for owning them was still too shallow because it may just be her pure luck. Zach also thought that he definitely wouldn't be able to walk in that type of shoes.

Since Zach lowered his focus, he didn't see the attack from the opponent. Verdimillious spell hit him successfully, made him shocked and lost his focus. "Ouch!" he shouted while closing his eyes with his hands. He's temporarily blinded and shocked.

With distorted focus, Zach tried to think of his next move. This round was definitely not his round. Opponent could dodge his spell and her spell hitting him was bad enough for him. Not to mention how distorted his focus was now. He tried to fix his stance again, but with winced eyes, tried to spot his opponent. He thought for some moments until he decided what to do next. With his wand pointed at her, Zach was ready to do his next action.

Now this is getting interesting.

With the green sparks charm being casted successfully by Alyssea, blinding Zach temporarily with how bright that light was, it had given the Hufflepuff an advantage against the Ravenclaw. True that it didn't cause that much of a damage but blinding an opponent, especially in a duel would lower their chances of hitting you as they won't know where to fire off their spell. Luck will surely play a big role on any attack being done when you can't even see your opponent properly.

Now, what would the Huffelpuff do? To take advantage of the situation of course. With Zach blinded, she could worry less about spells coming for her and hitting her and she could go all out and focus on her own attacks at him. A quick gesture with her wand and then followed by the incantation 'Incendio'. Looks like Alyssea had decided to cast the same spell that Zach used against her. At first, only a sputter of flame came out of her wand, almost failing the said spell but luckily, it still shot out. Zach was prepared though.

Instead of attacking while blinded temporarily, he had focused everything on dodging. Smart move. He listened for the incantation, felt the incoming attack based on the rise of temperature in his surroundings. He sidestepped smoothly to the sides, avoiding the incoming fire spell with ease just as his sight returned, watching the flames dissipate into nothing.

"Ohohoho, that was impressive." Raizel can't help but remark, a grin on her face and giving Zach a thumbs up, quite entertained and amazed by what she had seen. Zach is a talented wizard, even back when they first went against each other. She lost at that time. If only her spell didn't backfired though, such a shame really but that was already a long time ago and she did learn something from it at least.

Alyssea scrambled to create the flame-shaped wand movement, which is probably why the spell looked, quite frankly, pathetic. Still, it didn't backfire (always a bonus!) and flew in Zach's direction.

She thought the blinding would make him less likely to dodge it, considering he couldn't see. But no. He must've felt the heat because he dodged it with only seconds to spare. But she counted her blessings when Zach didn't fire a spell.

Had the Incendio hit as intended, Alyssea might've been in a better position to actually fight it to the end. But of course, her only luck may have been dodging spells. After this was over, she'd laugh it off and tell her parents how her first duel went in heels.

She winced as the singed wool scratched against her skin. Still, she counted her blessings since she wasn't on fire nor was she laughing and dancing anymore. Being back at square one was probably the worst place to be in mid-duel because what was she supposed to do now? One more hit and she'd probably be out of the game.

Alyssea raised her wand and closed her eyes. Whatever happens now, she'd done her best and that's what mattered.

Zach didn't think that his spell would hit Alyssea in his current state. This condition was not the same when he was in Fumos spell. So he thought about what the best action he could do. "If casting a spell will not do, dodge it will work," he thought. So in a blinded state, Zach focused his mind to spot his opponent. When he heard the incantation, he somewhat could grasp where Alyssea's position was. It' was just about luck if he could dodge it successfully. And he did. He dodged it successfully. He exhaled a sigh of relief. If the luck was not in his favor, he would be burned right now. What a terrible situation.

His eyes were relaxed not long after he could dodge the attack and he could see clearly again. In front of him was Alyssea, still on her heels. "How long she could stand with that shoewear?" he wondered. Then, Zach tried to calculate all the possibilities in the next round. Both Zach and Alyssea were not in any abnormal state so the next act will vary like the first round.

Zach had decided what he wanted to do. He hoped the luck would still be in his favor.
