Salina walked down the hallway, heading towards the lavatories. She just came from the study room where she had been working on assignments for Transfiguration and Care for Magical Creatures. Even though she liked animals enough, she couldn't see herself working with them.

Working, why do I keep thinking about that, she thought. Ever since she arrived at Hogwarts and started her studies, she would find herself wondering what she would do with what she learned once she graduated, even though that was oh so many years ahead. She wanted to be someone established and renowned, a real witch in all her glory. And so far the subjects were more interesting and easy to pay attention to than the old one she had been learning back at non-magic school.

She smiled to herself, thinking about the amazing things she wanted to do with her growing knowledge. A few girls entered the bathroom right before she did. Salina hoped it wasn't too crowded in there, because often that made her bladder feel ten times worse. And the next closest bathroom was a little too far away for her.

Salina walked into the bathroom, relieved to see that there were more than enough stalls available. She proceeded to enter one and lock the door behind her.

Her mind wandered, from random jumble to things of serious matter, like how she wasn't as active as she used to be and how she wanted to contact her family but couldn't for now. She frowned, wishing she could figure out something, and soon. She wished she had her own owl, too, one that was faster and more clever than the school owls, and the brains of her fellow students. Just kidding, she joked to herself, not meaning all the way.

When she finished relieving herself Salina left the stall to wash her hands. For some reason she decided not to look at herself in the mirror at the moment or she would've noticed a big spider on the back of her arm, just sitting there.

And suddenly—the dreams started chasing me.

Tracey Peters entered the lavatory, seeking a moment of respite after a long day of classes at Hogwarts. As she walked in, she noticed Salina, a fellow Gryffindor, standing by the sink. It seemed Salina was preoccupied, and Tracey couldn't help but notice a slight frown on her face.

Curiosity getting the better of her, Tracey approached Salina and greeted her, "Hey, Salina, is everything alright?"

Salina turned to face Tracey, surprised by the friendly voice. "Oh, hey, Tracey. It's nothing, really. Just a spider on my arm," she replied with a half-hearted smile, trying to brush off the situation.

Tracey's eyes caught sight of the spider, and she acted quickly. With a swift flick of her wand, she gently levitated the spider and safely placed it on the windowsill. "There you go, all taken care of," she said with a reassuring grin.

"Wow, thanks, Tracey!" Salina exclaimed, visibly relieved. "You're so skilled with magic. I wish I could handle situations like that with such ease."

"It's all about practice and focus," Tracey replied modestly. "By the way, I think we have Transfiguration and Care for Magical Creatures together, right?"

Salina's face lit up with recognition. "Yes, we do! I've seen you in those classes. You really seem to know your stuff."

Tracey smiled warmly. "Likewise, Salina. You've impressed our professors too with your dedication. Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, a great team, don't you think?"

Salina nodded, her initial worries now replaced by a genuine smile. "Definitely! I'm glad we're getting to know each other. It's nice to have a friend like you at Hogwarts."

"I feel the same way, Salina. Friends can make the magical journey even more enchanting," Tracey agreed. "If you ever need help with anything or just want to hang out, count me in!"

And so, their friendship began to blossom in the most unexpected place – the lavatory of Hogwarts. From that day forward, Tracey and Salina shared many adventures and laughter, supporting each other through the challenges and wonders of their first year at the renowned school of witchcraft and wizardry. Their bond grew stronger with each passing day, proving that the magical connections forged at Hogwarts could last a lifetime.
