Darling? Who was this girl just a year older than her calling her DARLING?

Acting like her mother or something as she spoke in that sickening sweet voice.

Absolutely stupid, vomiting, revolting, repulsive, and more importantly, disgusting.

DISGUSTING!!!

What a load of old tosh.

It made her feel down right nauseous and want to puke after she heard the remark.

And now this mama like Cassie girl was asking her name, to which Xin replied scornfully, “Fang Yun-Xin.” She tried to hide her disdain, but it leaked out like a fast flowing stream.

Nice and pretty? Xin let out a harsh laugh, what lame and even more sickening adjectives to use. And that parental manner Cassie had said it made her sound like those annoying busybodies, who absolutely loved poking a large nose into other people's businesses.

But there was a part of her, deep down, that knew she shouldn't be so mean towards Cassie. The second year didn't deserve to be treated like this, working so hard and helping everyone. But Xin quickly shook those thoughts away and didn't bother anyways.

She didn't half listen to Cassie's tutorial on how to make a nice pet bowl. Instead, the witch simply took a piece of clay and pressed on it, molding into a circular shape. Another piece of clay was soon made into a neat rectangle, which the girl curved around the circle.

Perfect precision.

After Cassie leaves the tent, she heads to the next stop, the doll-making tent. She can ehar from the voice of the girl named Fang that she is annoyed. She doesn't care really, it is not going to ruin her nice day.

She goes directly to the desk of a new boy. 'Hello! This is Cassie Jiang, I will be teaching you doll-making here! May I ask for your name please? Tell me what you wanna do! Gnome? Oh, first, I must tell you that this Gnome will not be useful for Gnome Racing.' Cassie turns around to fetch him a bag of materials labeled 'Gnome'.

'First step! Sew the main parts together and put cotton inside. I will show you how to sew, watch carefully. Emma!' Cassie calls the girl beside the boy who she recognizes as EmmaLee LeDames. 'Darling, you will need to sew no matter what you are making, please learn this together.'Cassie starts sewing slowly and clearly so that the boy and Emma can learn. 'Alright, just continue this process until the two pieces of cloth are sewn together. Then flip the cloth inside out and put cotton inside. Now, one caution, if you want to put cotton inside, you must leave a small hole after sewing, so you can stuff things inside. I will be back in a while.'

She walks to another girl. 'Hi Emma! Welcome! Please tell me what you are making. A phoenix? Alright, here is your material bag. First, sew those two pieces of cloth together and stuff the cotton inside. Just as how I showed you. Hope you are having fun! I will be back in a while.'

She then goes to the girl Zophyr. She has finished her griffin wonderfully. 'Congratulations!' she says to the girl, 'I assume you have finished this doll of griffin wondefully! Thank you for your nice words. You can leave with your griffin now! Hope you are enjoying this fair, you can return here later too!' Cassie waves at the girl.

Then, she walks to the girl Madi McQuade. 'Congratulations!' she says, looking at the finished phoenix. 'You have finished your phoenix wondefully! I love this drawing of your phoenix too! You can leave with your phoenix now! Hope you are enjoying your experience and hope to see you here again!' Cassie waves at the girl.

Finally. she goes to the girl Aurora. 'Good sewing! There is still one step left for you! Turn the cloth inside out, and stuff the cotton inside. Stuff them all! After you finish it, finish sewing around the dragon, and sew those spikes on its back. See, you sew it on this line of thread. I will be back soon, any questions please save them and ask as I return.'

Mellani was in a dilemma as to how she would paint the pet's bed without well... holding it. She nodded to Cassie's instructions anyways, and after a while started painting lightly so that the pot would not move, but she would not have to touch it either.

At first, her hands shook a bit, but as time went they became more confident. After completing the first layer, Mellani waited for it to dry up before proceeding to do the second, brighter and darker patch, and then the final patch.

Within that time, two others enter the tent too, and Mellani gives both of them a kind smile. She was not in the mood to talk, and her concentration quickly shifts back to her bed. Proud of how good it has come out, she looks around, wondering when Cassie will be coming. Mellani wished that she would get the bed at that moment, but she would have to be patient and wait another month while it got cooked and sent to her.

Just to pass her time, Mellani takes out a few biscuits that she had brought from home before coming to Hogwarts and starts eating, hoping that she is not breaking any rules by doing so. They were her favorite biscuit, and she had brought a trunkful of those before coming to Hogwarts.

Not long after Aisley had finished her drawing of her painting set, the coordinator, entered the tent and began talking to the inhabitants.

For the girl who already had finished molding her pottery, the girl began to instruct her on how to paint it. The coordinator then came over to introduce herself to Aisley and the other girl who entered not long after her.

The coordinator introduced herself as Cassie Jiang. After a bit of thought on the name, Aisley thought she'd heard if before and even recognized the girl from somewhere. Maybe a club or even just around the corridors.

Aisley watched closely as Cassie took a chunk of clay and placed it in front of her, beginning to explain how to use the pottery wheel and how to use the different tools. She was so absorbed in listening to the instructions that she almost didn't realize that Cassie had called her Aisy. Not Lee, not Ais, but Aisy. A childish nickname that for some reason, she was drawn to.

Shaking off the shock of the new name, she nodded at Cassie to show she understood the instructions before she began to mold the first part of her paint set, the cup, using the careful techniques that Cassie taught her just moments before.

As he and EmmaLee waited for the instructor to enter and guide them through the doll-making process, he tried to look anywhere but at the overwhelming amount of pink in the tent. His Unicorn cabin was bad enough. This, however, was just adding insult to injury.

"It'll be miracle if my retinas don't have holes burned into them before this summer ends," he scoffed before chuckling. "Not kidding, EmmaLee. Each day's been an assault to my eyes." He then just smiled winningly at her before looking back down at his workstation. What he didn't say to her, largely because he wasn't in full realization of the truth of it, was that she was the sight he most looked forward to each day. That was true even if it meant spending time in a hideous, Barbie-pink dream tent that looked like Ken had vomited Pepto Bismol all over it.

Worth it!

The instructor was a pretty, younger student trying very hard to sound matronly and instructive. She introduced herself and asked for his name. "Hello, Cassie. Nice to meet you. I'm Stephen Schwartz," and he was about to introduce EmmaLee but discovered the two girls already knew each other. Of course they did. EmmaLee went to school here.

He listened as Cassie got right down to business and began to instruct him on how to sew the fabric together, making certain he knew to leave a hole for stuffing it and turning it inside out before stuffing. Easy enough.

Because they were in the land of magic, all sewing was being done by hand. It was time consuming, but relaxing. Besides, there was not much else going on that day. His only real incentive to hurry was to get out of the sea of pink, but spending time with EmmaLee was more than diverting.

"Here is a fact you didn't know about me. My paternal grandfather was, actually still is, a tailor back home in California. He had his own business for many years as my father was growing up, but he had originally studied and danced for years as a younger man with Russia's Bolshoi Ballet. He defected on a European tour in the 70's and eventually met my grandmother in Paris." He looked up at her at the mention of Paris as she, herself, spoke with a slight French accent.

"From there, they eventually made their way to California. I tell you this because at some point my grandfather decided that he would get back to ballet in some capacity, so he hired on with the San Francisco Ballet - not as a dancer, but as a costume tailor. Anyway, he taught me how to sew quite well on a machine," and then he smiled broadly, "but never by hand. Keeping the stitching even and evenly spaced makes me appreciate the amount of work and skill in those who sew by hand. He looked down at his imprecise stitches and reached over for a seam ripper, his brow now completely furrowed. "We may be here a while. I just can't have my gnome lose all of his stuffing because of poor stitching, now can I?" and he laughed.

"That's good! Summer camp is a lot different than what I thought it would be, but it's still really fun! Madi smiled.

She waited for Cassie to come back, thinking she shouldn't leave until Cassie gave her the okay. Soon, Cassie re entered the tent. She helped out a few other people making dolls before coming to Madi. She complimented her finished Phoenix doll and her drawing, and then told her that she could leave with her doll. Madi thanked her and when she walked away went to pack up all her stuff. She shoved the drawing of the Phoenix into her bag and put it over her shoulder, carrying her Phoenix doll in one hand. She said goodbye to the red haired girl she was talking with and left the tent.

As she left, she was thinking about where she would put it. She might give it to her sister or a friend, or she could keep it her cabin, even though it would clash horribly with the rest of the design. She eventually decided that she would put it in her dorm, which was all blues and bronzes and silvers. She thought it would look kind of cool with that.

Cassie makes her way to the Origami Tent, the last stop of her cycle. There are 10 spots, though there is only two learners. First, she goes to the girl, Akina Briarwood. 'Hi Aki! Wow! I can see your dragon finished! Congratulations! You can leave with your dragon now. It is so cool! You are now wonderful at folding an origami dragon! Hope you enjoyed your experience at the DIY Fair. Bye! Have fun in the Summer Camp's other activities too!' Cassie smiles nd waves at Akina.

She goes to the other boy, he has finished his two fans too. 'Wonderful craft-making Hiro! You are now ready to leave with your two perfect fans! Hope you enjoy your experience here and bye! Have fun in the other activities in the Camp too!' Cassie smiles and watches the two leave.

She sighs, finally, she had finished all her teaching at the Origami Tent. It is really tiring, all the walking around and all the teaching. She takes a rest on one of the seats in the tent. She wants to get a nice rest before departing. She will start the cycle once again by entering the Pottery tent, some students are still waiting for her there.

EmmaLee giggled at Stephen's complaints about the décor, both inside and outside the DIY tent. "I apologize for the assault on your eyes." She said with a small laugh, putting a comforting hand on his shoulder and smiling widely. "Thank you again for indulging my silly little idea to hang out. I am so glad that we can do this together." She was just about to ask which cabin he such "terrible" decorations (she thought the tent they were in was rather cute, but she was a girly girl after all,) when Cassie came over and began instructing them on how to proceed with the making of their dolls.

"'Ello, Cassie. It is good to see you again." She said, watching intently as Cassie demonstrated how to sew the dolls up. Truthfully, EmmaLee already knew how to sew, but knew that it would be rude to say this to her schoolmate and who knows, maybe Cassie knew some kind of trick that she didn't about doll making.

"Oh, and it's EmmaLee, please and thank you." She remarked after Cassie was through speaking.

As Cassie walked away, EmmaLee turned back to Stephen and listened intently as he talked about his grandfather. Her thin eyebrow raised in curiosity as he brought up that his grandparents met in Paris and she beamed brightly when he said that his grandfather had rejoined the ballet as a tailor.

"That is fascinating. I wonder if our grandmothers may 'ave ever met." She said, looking up at him as she sewed. She paused for a moment in thought before wrinkling her nose and shaking her head. "Actually, they probably wouldn't 'ave. The only thing I know about my father's parents is that they live in Paris and are extremely against the non-magique." She said, looking down at her work now and then as she talked. "Oh! And that they don't approve of my mother." She said this without any emotion, just stating a fact. She may as well have been talking about something she had heard about Merlin or Albus Dumbledore. She looked up at Stephen once more and smiled sweetly at him. "I am glad that your grandfather sounds like such a good man." She finished with much more emotion in her voice with this statement.

"My mother taught me how to sew when we still lived in France. I know very well how to sew by hand, but not at all how to use a machine. Maman says that while it is a clever device to get around magic, a witch has no reason to know how to use one." She explained with a small shrug. "She says that about a lot of non-magique things, like clothes dryers and electric ovens." EmmaLee continued with a small pout, again looking back and forth at her work.

"So what about your other family, such as your parents? Do you have siblings?" She asked when she looked back up at him, smiling curiously. She found herself wanting to know so much more about Stephen then she felt she could ask in the short spans of time they ever had together. What things did he like? What did he dislike? What was his childhood like? What was his home life like? Did he like spicy food, exotic food, bland food? Did he prefer cakes or pies? What did he like to do for fun other than sports? She had never been this curious about another person before, but it felt like the more time she spent with him and the more she got to know him, the more time she wanted to spend with him and the more she wanted to know about him. The thought left her with a weird, lifting, fluttery feeling in her chest that she couldn't place.
