Remy had been sitting in a library for quite some while. Long enough to make his backside hurt. You see, although there were little things that he took very seriously, academics were surprisingly important to him. He was an overachiever, a perfectionist to be exact. He loved to prove himself worthy of praise, getting closer to his goals one step at a time. But no matter how important academics were, he still managed to procrastinate and laze around. He had pushed aside his actual books and schoolwork. Instead, he opted for reading something about pixies. The boy could feel the boredom slowly set in, Remy was almost squirming in his seat.

Must! Study!

He shook his head violently and slapped his cheek to wake himself up. He had noted that there were very little people in here, most sitting somewhere far away from him. They too were dozing off. What a joke. Studying seemed to make everyone sleepy. Perhaps this was an innate thing? Every time you picked up a book, suddenly your head gets heavy and your eyelids refuse to cooperate.

The boy scrunched his nose, clearly dismayed. This was not Remy Alto. He was the king, the emperor of fun. This kind of behavior was unacceptable from him. He pushed his seat back a bit, standing up as he looked for a place to hide. Whoever would make the mistake of coming through that door next would be the victim of his vicious prank. Well, it wasn't even a prank, nor was it vicious. He was just going to scare someone, no big deal! He hid behind a pile of books, waiting there silently, like a predator for his prey.

December had finally managed to find time to come to the library. It was a rare day, as she had nothing bad happen to her. It had been such a quiet morning, a quieter afternoon as she had managed to stay out of trouble and stay in the quieter side of things. She was relieved, as because this would be a perfect day. She was going to make it a perfect day. She had even managed to find the time to tidy up her appearance, to get her life in order, to make sure that her loose leaf papers would no longer just be loose leaf after her recently troubles with bumping into others.

As she had managed to finally come into the library, she was glad to see that it was quiet, and her shoulders relaxed, her book bag wound tight around her shoulders. She wasn't going to bump into someone, she was going to be relaxed and she was going to get things done. As she looked for seats, her heart sank as she knew this was where her luck had run out. Every seat in the front of the library was full of people studying or talking quietly among themselves.

She had finally started to make her way to the back of the library, her shoes tapping quietly on the cobblestone as she continued to look for an open desk, before noticing an empty-ish table with the seat pushed back, only a few things left. Right next to this bookshelf, a large pile of books. December did not make much of it as she started to walk towards it, unsuspecting as this would be the perfect time for the smaller boy to strike.

He had been so sure that he had not left any traces behind him. He had created a false memory of moving his books and other stuff elsewhere, moving his chair under the table as if no one had ever touched it. Peaking to see for the last time if he had really done that, he was met with a disappointment. He had totally forgotten to do that, darn it! After beating up himself for that and wondering if he should go and fix it, he decided to stay instead. It proved to be a good idea since someone entered the room.

He tried hard to suppress his excitement for the upcoming prank. It wasn't even a prank, there was no mastermind behind this plan. Remy was just being a bit silly for once. No one could study for so long without wanting to have fun. He could hear the footsteps, someone was getting closer and closer to him. Dangerously close. Suppressing his breath, he resisted the temptation of looking once more of who just got in. The footsteps seemed light enough for him to draw a conclusion that it was someone around his age. Not a seventh year that he was scaring! That would be a disaster.

He mentally counted inside of his head in three before jumping out. Letting out a blood-curdling shriek of some sorts, to the dismay of the one who he was scaring. Upon closer inspection, it was a familiar face that he had met on this fateful day. The redhead was unmistakeably a first-year Slytherin that he had seen a couple times!

December couldn't help the shriek that had left her mouth that filled the library, followed by the shushing of the students in the area. She had felt herself fall back as the young boy jumped forward, falling back as she did her best to catch herself, feeling the cold ground meet her. She sat up, carefully taking the second to access the situation before she felt the awful flush fill her face, the red as she felt the embarrassment.

"I-I'm.....s..... h-hello?" her voice was confused as she looked at the boy, carefully trying to compose herself. She didn't understand what the reasoning was with trying to scare her, granted she could understand her unfortunate luck in this situation. At least this isn't the worst thing to happen to me this week. She saw the flash of green beneath his robes as her suspicions were only validated. Of course, Slytherin. Why would he be any other house.

She carefully stood up as she brushed herself off, adjusting her bag as she was glad to see nothing had fallen out. "S-s...sorry," she managed out the apology as she mentally chastised herself, knowing it was more than unnecessary. This was just some prank that she had walked into and she was almost sure it wasn't personal. Hopefully. She wouldn't have been surprised knowing that this was completely on purpose at this rate. She was often known as "the girl that didn't quite fit into the house," due to her soft and gentle nature and it was more than a reason to bother her.

I mean, you are the joke of this house. You basically deserve this. She felt the tightness in her stomach as she realized this was only true as she gave a small sigh, brushing her hair back awkwardly as she shifted weight from foot to foot. All she wanted to do was to study, nothing more. Maybe now that this boy had scared the living day out of her, he would be able to share his table.

Thank you for understanding my absence! I finally got through finals, finished all my classes (and passed) as well as settled down for the holidays so I'm finally good!
