SPECTATOR THREAD FOR QUIDDITCH
UAGADOU-MAHOUTOKORO vs. ILVERMORNY - SUMMER 2023

Weather: Partially cloudy with a light misting of rain

The gentle rain that blanketed the grounds did little to dampen the anticipation built up around the day. The warmth of summer helped to lessen the bite of the on-again, off-again showers as the morning sunlight fought to peek through shifting clouds and bathe the pitch in brief moments of warmth. Visibility remains mostly clear despite the rain, a fact players and dedicated fans alike can rejoice in a day absolutely jam-packed with Quidditch action.

A break in cloud cover coincides with the announcer for the match stepping forward into the sunlight. They pull their wand forward and place the tip against their throat to amplify their voice and address players and spectators alike as the stadium fills. "Welcome, everyone! Thank you for joining us this morning, I hope you're ready for plenty of Quidditch today!" they call out, voice booming and echoing through the stands. "Our matchup to get us started today is between Ilvermorny and a team comprising of students from Uagadou and Mahoutokoro." The announcement of each team coincides with cheers and shouts from the stands from their respective supporters. "This is going to be a fun one! Please join me in welcoming both teams onto the pitch!"

The teams taking the pitch are met by applause and cheers from the gathered spectators even as the stands continue to fill. A moment to bask in that pre-game anticipation is afforded to all present as both teams take up their respective positions. Keen to get the action going, the snitch and bludgers are released. The quaffle being lobbed straight up into the air is followed by a shrill whistle. "Let the games begin!"
