After We Kissed PV Madison Bennett Finished

As Madison woke up on Saturday morning, she felt different. Simon and I really kissed yesterday she thought to herself as she got dressed for the day. I don't want to just be friends with Simon, I want to to be so much more Madi thinks to herself as she does her hair. As if on queue, she gets a tap at her window and it's Hoax with a letter from Simon, asking Madi to meet him at the Boathouse. She smiled and gave Hoax a treat before he flew off, The Boathouse was somewhere very special to the two of them so she liked the thought of having them meet there, it will give Simon and I a chance to talk in private Madi thinks to herself as she feeds Clover before leaving her dorm room, locking it and heading down to the Boathouse.

She didn't need a coat since it was such a beautiful sunny day but as she walked down to the Boathouse, Madi's heart was beating out of her chest. She took a deep breath, opened the door, and stepped inside, closing the door behind her.

She smiled back at Simon and gave him a hug, "Good morning and I slept ok thank you Si, how about you?" Madi said in reply, not really knowing how to start the topic of the elephant in the room so to speak, the kiss they both knew happened yesterday in that Greenhouse.

Madison looked as beautiful as ever. When she hugged him, he took it as a good sign. It was almost as if nothing had happened – just a usual day of hanging out with his best friend – if it were not for that invisible tension in the air between them that was so concrete that he could almost taste it.

"Yeah, I slept pretty good," he said, becoming reminded of the fact that ninety percent of the night he had been either dreaming or thinking about her. "But you know me, I usually wake up early, even during the weekends."

Simon walked over to the old door where their nicknames were carved out. That felt like ages ago. What if he had known back then that Madi would be the one with whom he had his first kiss?

"See? It's still there." He pointed to the door and smiled.

"So..." (Simon was about to bring up the kiss when his courage failed him and he quickly grabbed for something else in his mind to talk about.) "How is Clover settling in, in your dorm? I guess it's less lonely for you now that you have a pet."

Simon could not really concentrate on her reply. He saw her lips move, he could hear her voice and he nodded and smiled to what she said, but he could not register the words. Instead he was preparing how to bring up the one thing they needed to talk about.

"Mhm..." he said and nodded when Madison had finished talking. "When you kissed me... yesterday..." He took a deep breath before lifting his gaze, looking at her. ”I like you, Madi. In fact... and I think I've known for a while... I like you more than just a friend. And when we kissed yesterday… I didn't want it to end."

He paused. This was the most honest he had ever been with someone in his entire life. The adrenaline was pumping and he was afraid of what was going to come.

"I don’t want to jump to any conclusions or rush or anything, but I guess, what I wanted to ask is... why you kissed me?”

This was it. The cards were on the table.

Madi smiled and looked over at the carving with Simon, "Yeah I can see that, it feels like ages ago since we did that, and then we hid under that boat because other people came inside remember?" Madi says with a giggle.

Madi looked at him, thinking he was about to say something else, but smiled sweetly and replied "She's settling really well, she loves to cosy up on her little pet bed at the end of my bed and when she gets too cold, she snuggles into me for warmth which is cute" Madi says.

Madison listened to what Simon was saying and blushed deeply, So he does like me as more than a friend Madi thinks to herself, stepping closer towards Simon and looking up at him with her bright blue eyes "I... I like you too Si, in more than a friend way and I think i've known that for a while too" Madi said as she felt her cheeks burn pink, here she was, standing in front of the boy she's liked for a while now, and, despite the awkwardness of their kiss yesterday, she couldn't get it out of her head.

Madi took another step closer to Simon and took his hand. She could feel her heart beating in her chest, those ever present butterflies fluttering around in her tummy and all those thoughts about Simon that had been racing through her mind last night were all still there, though they were calmer than they were last night. "I didn't want it to end either Si, the kiss I mean. And, I kissed you because I wanted to, I've wanted to for a while now actually. I really like you Simon and now that I know you do too, I'm gonna do something" Madi says with a smile as she stroked his hands. She walks over with Simon to where their names are and craves a heart around their nicknames. She steps back once she's done and when she turns around, there was no space between her body and Simon's, but she didn't mind that at all. She smiled at him placed her hands in his.

Were she and Simon about to kiss for a second time? Madi sure hoped so because if this went the way she wanted it to, the fireworks would explode again and her feelings would be even more confirmed then they already were.

When she told him that she liked him too it was like a heavy weight lifted from his chest and he could finally breath. So it was true then. Perhaps she had feelings for him already back in July when he visited her in Kensington? That would explain her brother's insinuations. Either way, it was a massive relief.

Madison moved even closer to him. "I really like you Simon and now that I know you do too, I'm gonna do something."

He almost thought that she was about to kiss him again, but instead she turned to the engraved door and went down on her knees. He heard a scratching noise and tried to peek over her shoulder to see what she was doing. When she got up, he saw that she had carved a heart around their names. He instantly knew what that meant. This place was were they cemented their friendship a year ago. Now they were cementing something else.

Madison turned around, facing him, and when she did, she got so close to him that their bodies touched. Simon looked at her and smiled. Now that all worry and hesitation was out of the way, the butterflies that had been present in his stomach for so long could dance freely. With confidence, he gently took her head in his hands and tilted her chin just a little bit before leaning forward and pressing his lips against hers. The dancing butterflies reached climax and his heart started pounding so hard that Madi must have felt his heartbeat against her chest.

Her lips were so soft and lovely. He could easily become addicted to kissing her, he thought. In that moment, nothing else existed except for them. The chirping seabirds and sloshing water was far, far away in a parallell world outside theirs. In an almost perfect synchrony, they let go of each other's lips only to tilt their heads and change their angles before continue the kiss. He slowly caressed her jaw-line with his thumb and stroked a hair behind her ear.

This time there was no one interrupting them and he was fully engaged and present in the moment. When the kiss slowly came to an end, he smiled and looked deep into her blue eyes.

"So... You wanna be, like, my girlfriend?"

Off went the fireworks inside Madi's heart and mind as Simon held her head in his hands and pressed his lips against hers. She could feel his heart beating against her chest, though in fairness hers was beating against his chest too.

His lips tasted like the Cinnamon and Vanilla buns they'd shared on their first official day at Hogwarts last year, though right now, in this moment nothing else mattered to Madi, all she cared about was this moment right now with Simon. She never wanted this moment to end, she was so happy that, even if the world was crumbling around her, having Simon by her side would always keep her mind at ease.

Unlike in the Greenhouse, no one else was around, they were all on their own and that was the way it should have been the first time, though this kiss, was just as, if not even more special then the last, because it meant so much more. It cemented the feelings she'd had for him in July, and the feelings she'd started feeling for him earlier then that. Madi let her hands rest on his arms, her tummy free of butterflies, the fireworks still exploding in her mind, everything about this moment was everything she'd hoped for and more.

As the kiss slowly came to a conclusion and their lips finally departed from each other, Madi looked at Simon and smiled back at him, her hands still resting on his arms. She blushed deeply, letting her cheeks rest in his hands. She looked at him with her ocean blue eyes and nodded, "Yes Simon, I'd love to be your girlfriend" Madi said, hugging him tightly with her arms wrapped around his neck as she looks out the window and sees a rainbow. She smiles, looks back into Simon's eyes as the sunlight reflects the rainbow onto her outfit and face perfectly.

She said yes. What was his mom and dad going to say? How were his friends going to react upon hearing the news? How would the school react? After all, it was commonly known among their classmates and students from their houses that they were best friends. In his head, Madi was still one of his best friends, but now she was something else too. They now had a romantic relationship. Exactly what that meant, how that would change things and how that would differ from their best friend relationship he did not know, except for the sense of intimate belonging to one another and the kissing, of course. Either way, he was in for it all.

"These news are going to drop like a bomb when it gets out," he said in a low voice and smiled.

He was glad it was a Saturday. That meant they had the whole day together. No school. No classes. Just the two of them with lots of time to explore their feelings for one another and their new relationship. But how were they going to break the news? The moment they went back to school holding hands or being seen kissing in public, the word was going to spread like a fire. Simon did not mind however. He had nothing to hide. In fact, he felt proud. Proud that he was not a boy anymore. Proud that he had been brave enough to make himself vulnerable and express how he felt about her. Proud to be in control of his own emotional life and proud to have the prettiest and sweetest girl as his girlfriend.

"So, what do we do now?" he asked. "Do you want to keep it a secret for now, or are we prepared for what will come if we let everybody know?"

Madi's heart was calm, her whole body was calm. In her mind, regardless of what her mum and dad thought, regardless of what her friends or the rest of the school thought, Madi was so happy right now that she couldn't care less about anything other than the fact that she was now Simon's girlfriend!!
They were no longer just best friends anymore, their connection was deeper than ever and Madi was so excited to explore what that had in store for both of them. "I know but I don't care about that Si, I care about us right now, in this moment. We can deal with all that stuff on Monday or tomorrow, but right now, I just want to stay in this moment with you for as long as we can" Madi says with a smile up at him with those ocean blue eyes, now joined by that little twinkle in your eyes that happen when you're in love with someone you care about deeply and who cares about you just as much in return.

Madi was still on cloud 9 as she giggled and stayed facing Simon, her hands resting on his arms "Well it's Saturday so we could either go for a walk and find somewhere new or we could stay here in our own little bubble, though we will need to walk back up to the castle at some point, because we'll both need to eat something, especially you Ori" Madi says with a giggle as she takes in his scent once again.

She knew the moment that her and Simon walked through the school holding hands, people would go crazy but she didn't care, she was just happy that she was finally with Simon and they'd be able to walk around school together holding hands, maybe even the occasional kiss, which made Madi blush when she thought about it. Both Madi and Simon had been vulnerable to each other in expressing how they felt and Madi was grateful that they both felt the same way about the other.

Madi thought for a minute and kissed him softly before giggling as her nose scrunches, something it does when she's thinking. "Even if we try to keep it secret it won't stay like that for a day Si, you know that. I'm prepared for what will come if you are. As girlfriend and boyfriend, we face stuff together more than ever, so, if you're ready to face what will come, then I am too" Madi says with a smile, as a gentle pink blush hits her cheeks.

Madi looked up at Simon again and smiled, her heart fluttering calmly as he held his hands in hers. She stepped forward, closing the gap between them and sighed happily. She and Simon were now in a romantic relationship for real, no more having to hide their feelings for each other. She knew that going from being best friends to dating was going to be an adjustment, but she knew that she and Simon would work through it together because that's the kind of connection they had and she knew, he wasn't letting go of her anytime soon, and she didn't want him to either, nor was she gonna let go of him.

"Actually, I've already had breakfast." He chuckled. Not that he had been particularly hungry when he went up this morning because he was so nervous about his meeting with Madi. There was still room for more and he could easily go with a second breakfast.

Madison gave him another kiss and the hormones swirled inside him when their lips met once again, making his legs feel weak. "Even if we try to keep it secret it won't stay like that for a day Si, you know that. I'm prepared for what will come if you are. As girlfriend and boyfriend, we face stuff together more than ever, so, if you're ready to face what will come, then I am too."

"I am ready. I don't mind people finding out. They're gonna find out sooner or later anyway, and besides, I won't be able to pretend." He smiled and went in for another kiss, trying to take in every sensation of it. He cuddled with his lips over hers and gave her one last kiss on her nose before whispering: "How am I going to be able to concentrate in class on Monday? You're gonna be bad for my Potions grades," he said jokingly and chuckled.

Then he remembered what Madison said earlier. About heading back to the castle to have breakfast. 'We both need to eat something'.

"Wait," he said. "You haven't eaten anything? I can follow you to the Great Hall if you want. And we can have breakfast together. Well, second breakfast for me."

Madison hadn't eaten yet so she was pretty hungry. Hearing Simon had eaten breakfast was sad for her because she'd wanted to eat breakfast with him, however she knew that he would never say no to a second breakfast.

As Simon kissed her again, Madison took in every aspect of it, the way his lips felt on hers, the way their lips danced together as if waltzing effortlessly on the floor alone. As he kissed her on the nose, Madi giggled and blushed, she liked him kissing her on the nose, it felt cute and sweet. She giggled at Simon's comment and smiled at him "too late to take it back now Ori, though i'll know that if i smell smoke coming from the potions room it's most likely you" Madi said with a giggle as he tickled her lightly and held her close.

Madi shook her head "No I haven't eaten yet, I was so excited to come down here and see you that I forgot to eat..." Madi said with a shy smile. She nods and takes his hand as they exit the Boathouse, close the door and start walking towards the Castle hand in hand. She looks at Simon and smiles "Ooo yes, i love that we'll get to sit together for breakfast and as a couple now too. I hope they still have Cinnamon and Vanilla buns though" Madi says with a giggle, feeling the happiest she's ever felt. Simon was officially her boyfriend and she knew they had many adventures ahead of them, but for now, she was enjoying getting to walk up to the castle hand in hand with Simon, not as best friends anymore, but as boyfriend and girlfriend.
