She sat down, put her trunk away, and got a book out. But she couldn't find one she hadn't read yet. All the books she'd brought from her house, she'd already read. And she hadn't checked any out from the library for the summer. So... she was left with her thoughts alone.
And there were a lot of them. First of all, she was really excited to see her family. She'd heard there was a summer camp going on, but she hadn't wanted to stay, because she missed her family so much. She hadn't seen them since Easter! Second of all, she was somehow even more excited for her best friend to come over. Irina was going to sleep over at her house in August, and Mahlioz could not wait. And she was also going to get a pet! Though she wasn't sure which one just yet. And third of all... there was another thought nagging at her. A thought about something she'd learned a couple of weeks ago. She didn't listen to it.
Sighing, Mahlioz looked through her trunk one last time. No books had magically appeared, unfortunately. She could draw in her sketchbook, but she wasn't really in the mood. And the train wasn't even moving yet, so there was nothing to see out of the window. Mahlioz was, to say the least, bored. If no one else came in to her compartment, this was going to be a very boring ride.

Irina growled in frustration, blowing a strand of runaway hair our of her face and giving another tug against the trunk. It was lodged firmly in the carriage doorway. She scowled and let go, watching it with hands on hips. It remained where it was. She rolled her eyes and clambered her way over it outisde the carriage again, shoving her shouldr against it and causing it to suddenly fly into the train. She gave a small yelp of surprise as her momentum carried her forwards and she found herself lying face first against the floor.
Irina rolled over with a sigh, once more brushing her hair out of her face. Her mood was made no better by the fact that she was leaving Hogwarts. Her year had been full of adventures and friends - Mahlioz Evethisawe, Simon Tillia, Koko Riddle and even more! It had been more action packed than she could have dreamed. Learning how to fly a broom, finding secret rooms, being attacked by plants in a variety of sizes . . . 'Yup, it's been action packed alright,' she thought with a small smile as she stood up.
Grabbing her trunk, she shoved her way through the mass of students, searching for an empty compartment or (more preferably) a familiar face to sit with. As one of the most extroverted people in school, she would much rather end the year surrounded by people rather than sitting alone and contemplating everything she was leaving behind.
Finally, she looked through one of the compartment doors and her heart lept: Mahlioz Evethisawe, her best friend was sitting in it alone, looking bored and . . . slightly troubled. She paused for a few milliseconds, wondering whether she should let the Slytherin be alone with her thoughts before disreguaring the idea - Mahlioz looked bored and Irina wanted nothing more than to see her friend once more.
She burst into the compartent, a broad grin on her face. Dropping her trunk she sat next to Mahlioz and gave her a quick hug. "Heya! I can't believe we're leaving Hogwarts! How're you feeling."
Irina stood from the seat and lifted the trun abover her head, wobbling precariously before shoving it onto the rack above their heads. "I really need to pack lighter next year,' she muttered, contemplating the trunk before plopping herself opposite Mahlioz.
"Here's a crazy thought; we're gonna be Second Years when we next come back - how cool is that?"
I don't have a train of thought. I have 7 trains on 4 tracks, all narrowly avoiding each other when the paths cross, all the passengers are screaming and there's that annoyingly calm female conductors voice in the background.

She wasn't to eager on going back home, since she just really enjoyed being at Hogwarts. Of course she missed her parents as well, and for sure her little brother. But life at Hogwarts just really wasn't something you could compare to living at home. She wasn't allowed to use magic, had none of her friends there, and was also very bored. Mostly all her over the summer home work was finished after 2 weeks of summer vacation, and all the other weeks weren't really filled. Usually her mother took her on a week long vacation to Israel as well, but that wasn't the case every year so.
As Judith entered the Hogwarts express, she stocked her trunk into the right place, grabbed Tabitha (Her cat) with her and moved herself towards one of the compartments that were still free. Most of them were already filled up since Judith had entered the Hogwarts express rather late, But then she had found a compartment where only two girls were sitting. She hadn't met them yet, maybe seen them in class but she wasn't sure. She opened the door of the compartment and greeted the girls politely. "Hello, pardon me, would you mind if i joined you both, everywhere else is full, havent been able to find a spot. I'm Judith, Second year Ravenclaw. Hope you guys have a nice day, are you excited going home? I'm going to miss it really, Hogwarts is just such an amazing place to be, i just can't believe next year's goign to be my third year!@Mahlioz Evethisawe, @Irina Shevel

The Gryffindor asked how she was feeling, and Mahlioz had to ponder the question for a moment. How was she feeling? "I'm... not completely sure. It's weird, leaving. I'm excited to go home, but I'm... going to miss this place." She wasn't even sure where 'home' was anymore. Maybe it was here? Where she'd made friends and gone on adventures and would continue to do so for the next six years?
She, too, was amazed that it was already July. That the next time they would be on this train, they'd be second years. "I know, it's crazy. It's gonna take me a while to get used to introducing myself as a second year." And to seeing students younger than her. And to learning spells only second years knew. Everything was going to be different. She wasn't sure whether that was a good thing or a bad one. Irina seemed to think it was amazing, though. Which didn't surprise Mahlioz - she was very optimistic.
The train slowly started moving, getting further from the castle with every second. Suddenly, the compartment door opened again, and an older looking blonde girl walked in, asking if she could sit with them. Mahlioz smiled, feeling better now that her best friend was with her. "Yeah, sure! I'm Mahlioz and this is Irina, make yourself comfortable," she responded, gesturing to the seat in front of them. She hoped her best friend didn't mind, but seeing that she was an extravert, she was sure it would be fine.
The girl went on to introduce herself, say she was going to miss Hogwarts and ask if they were excited to go home. She seemed very extraverted as well. Mahlioz took a second, but then nodded. "I'm also sad to leave Hogwarts, but I am looking forward to seeing my family. And... to a certain day in August," she added, sneaking a grinning glance at Irina.
