EXPLANATION
Reducio
›Students are separated into small randomized groups (8-ish per group) for ease of moderation and to limit the chaos of mass threads. There are 2 kinds of groups, Y1-Y3 and Y4-Y7.
›Each round, students will (ICly) take turns spinning a bottle to determine a partner (determined by me OOCly with randomized rolls).
›Round A: Players will have 1 week to RP their character's action. God modding is NOT allowed. There are 2 actions to choose from: kiss/retreat. Selecting 'kiss' means you kiss your partner on the lips, cheek, or hand. If you kiss, you obtain 3 good beans. If you retreat, you get a random roll by me to see if you obtain 1 good bean or 1 bad bean. Bad beans count for nothing, you just got bad luck. Good beans are saved until the very end of the game, where numerous prizes are revealed that you can choose to purchase with your good beans. Please keep track of how many good beans you have at the bottom of your post. If you forget to do so, it's fine, I can figure it out at the end.
›Round B: Once players RP their character's action towards their partner (it's always the first name listed), targeted students will then choose whether to accept the kiss or retreat. Remember, the point of the game is to get as many beans as you can! But if you retreat, you will also have a chance to obtain beans too. If your partner doesn't post in time, you will automatically get 1 good bean, so you don't feel like you're missing out on the fun. If your partner asks to kiss and you retreat, both of you are considered to have retreated and a roll will be done for your bean.
›Round A and B repeat in this way with a newly randomized assigned targets. Students will always have one week to submit their posts.
›Failure to post by a round's deadline will result in the assumption that the character froze up and declined to continue. They will be removed from the game. You can always rejoin though!
›All IC rules still apply and IC consequences are possible depending on the situation. Site rules and rating will also always apply. All actions/descriptions must comply with them.
›Prizes will be announced at the end of the game.Reducio›OOC End Date will be September 1st, 2023. This is when the game will OOC officially end.There will be 10 different things to choose from, which will be revealed 1 by 1 later on. I will start a Prize Thread after the game is over and will reveal the lowest rank one first (along with how many of that item I have). You will post in the Prize Thread stating that you want the item up for 'bid' if you wish to obtain it. You will have 7 days to post stating that you want it. I will assign the item a # and then will do rolls for the people who posted they wanted it. Whoever is closest to the # of the item will win the item! If there is more than 1, I will reassign a # and do rolls again for each one until all of them are gone. If someone gets the same #, I will reroll to establish a winner. If no one posts stating they want the item, I will move on to the next item.
The first item revealed is the lowest/cheapest and the last item revealed is the highest/expensive. But IC I think all the items would be fun to use in RPs, so don't just wait for the highest/expensive item to show up! Plus, what you get depends upon how many beans you have too. If you only have 7 beans (from never kissing and always retreating) you won't be able to purchase the highest rank item. So, get as many good beans as you can, so you will have lots of options to choose from! The highest amount of beans you can obtain is 21. Also, don't worry if you end up not winning any of the 10 prizes offered. If you don't win anything, you will be given an unknown consolation prize at the end, which you can either use/keep or sell for $.
Any beans left over after you win prizes can be exchanged for the item I am giving out as a consolation prize for those who don't win anything. The currency rate is 3 beans = 1 consolation prize item. Unfortunately, if you have less than 3 beans after claiming prizes, you won't be able to get anything extra. Thank you for participating in the game and I hope you enjoy your time!
┏ The game had begun! What a game it was going to turn out to be! The first pair, Hui-Ying and Yun-Xin, were a pair of lovely girls. Yun-Xin seemed glad to have been paired up with Hui-Ying and when Hui-Ying asked for her hand to kiss, Yun-Xin immediately gave it to her. Thus, securing 3 good beans!
The second pair, Cicely and Daphne were a nervous couple. Daphne's cheeks were flushed and Cicely seemed a little nervous. But the two girls didn't let their nerves get the better of them and Cicely went ahead and placed a kiss on Daphne's cheek, which Daphne accepted. As a result, they both got 3 good beans to add to their collection. Hopefully, their luck would continue!
The third pair, Ritsu and Haruka would follow the first and second pairs successfully. He opted to give Haruka a quick peck on the cheek, which was accepted by the girl. Haruka even stated that she was just there for the beans. Well, that was the name of the game! It was good people liked his twist on this game. Both Ritsu and Haruka obtained 3 good beans.
The fourth pair, Alexander and Olli was interesting and Tone liked how Alexander had spun the bottle not too fast or too slow. A great technique! When Alexander pointed at his cheek and asked if he could give Olli a kiss there, Olli seemed as if he didn't really want to do it. But in the end he allowed him to do so. Probably for the beans. But that was the game! So it was good he'd agreed in the end. If he wanted to bid on prizes later.
The fifth pair, Angelique and Estelle were the final pair of the round and they finished things off by making all of their group members pass the round with the max amount of good beans they could possibly obtain. Getting 3 good beans themselves, Angelique would lightly press a kiss onto the top of Estelle's hand, which Estelle accepted but it seemed as if she wasn't too keen on this. Still, for the sake of the game she'd given in to her partner.
And so, the first round ended. But more was yet to come...
The bottle started to spin again...┗ ┛

As the brunette girl approached her, Daphne's heart skipped a beat, her emotions swirling in a mix of nervousness and curiosity. She could feel her bottom lip quivering slightly, unsure of what was about to happen. But as the girl got closer, Daphne closed her eyes, trying to brace herself for whatever was coming. In just a matter of seconds, she felt a soft kiss on her cheek, and a warm sensation washed over her. Opening her eyes, a natural and genuine smile formed on Daphne's face. It was her first kiss in a way, and surprisingly, it wasn't a bad experience at all. She felt a sense of appreciation for the girl's gesture and didn't want her to feel bad for initiating the kiss. So, she gave her a nod, silently conveying her gratitude for the moment.
The round continued, and it was now Daphne's turn to spin the bottle. As she gave it a playful flick, she watched with anticipation as it twirled around before finally coming to a stop, pointing directly at Cicely. Fate seemed to be at play as if destiny had a hand in guiding the bottle's path. Daphne wondered if this was a chance for them to become friends after this. Without hesitation, Daphne scooted over to where Cicely was sitting, her curiosity and excitement growing with each passing moment. Instead of looking around, she focused solely on Cicely and if the girl didn't pull back, Daphne decided to take the initiative and planted a playful, platonic kiss on her nose.

Oh, that was really embarrassing. If Alexander had known that his offer would cause the boy so much discomfort, or, rather, disgust, he would have avoided even touching his shadow, let alone reaching for his cheek. It was the last of many moments when Alexander tried to be a little bit carefree and then faced the realities of life again and realised that it would always be the best decision to stay inside his shelter. But it was all over and done with, and the look on Olli's face was enough to change Alex's strategy for the rest of the game.
Alexander had two qualities that one could easily say he had in abundance: coyness and kindness. The first of these would determine his behaviour when it was his turn to move, and the latter would form the outline of his approach when a move was made towards him. More precisely, whichever end of the bottle pointed at him, Alexander was already destined to react with a mixture of these two feelings.
One of the boys on the pink mat introduced himself and made it clear that he intended to try the same move Alex had made in the first round, this time on the golden-haired boy himself. Without raising his head too much (this was the effect of his coyness), but not forgetting to wear a friendly expression on his face (and that was the unstoppable display of his kindness), "Hi Ritsu, I'm Alexander. Nice to meet you." he said. Turn someone down? How dare Alexander do such a thing? He was in a state of mind that accepted every suggestion and made no suggestion himself, grateful for everything he was given and asking for nothing from anyone.
"Yeah, sure, why not?" The boy answered Ritsu timidly.

[ july 11, 2023 ] ♥ outfitAs Ying's lips touched her hand, Xin's mind froze completely.
For a millisecond.
Before a shaky but otherwise genuine smile appearing on her lips and crimson creeping onto her cheeks. It was a rather strange yet pleasant feeling to be kissed by someone, well, obviously that someone isn't a boy thank you very much. Perhaps it was just the normal sensation of a first kiss, or the gratitude of actually being liked. Smiling cheerfully at her friend, Xin quickly resumed her place on the mat and waited for further instructions from the Hiro something boy.
She didn't have to wait long before all the participants were sitting in a circle with the bottle placed right in the middle. It was now Xin's turn to spin the bottle. Don't give me a boy, for the sake of god NEVER give me a boy... Ginger fingers touched the glass and spinned it elegantly. The witch watched with anticipation as it spun and spun and spun and landed on a girl with ginger hair, probably from Ilvermorny or some other school. Whoever she was and wherever she came from, Xin didn't recognize her and had second thoughts on kissing a total stranger.
Thank goodness she didn't listen to that not-so-competitive-and-total-loser part of her brain. Nah, of course she didn't. Instead the future lioness walked over to this Estelle girl and asked curtly, “Don't mind me kissing you?” Gosh why on earth would this Hiro set up such a stupid game, I honestly want to kill him for thiiiiiiiis!estelle hughes @kayla realma –––––– ♥

Estelle watched intently as the bottle continued to spin for the next round. On the bright side, she was going to the next round. On the other hand, well, she was going to the next round. The game was a total pushover, though, nothing like what she'd seen in the movies she used to watch with her mom...
Es shuddered thinking about it. Now that was something she was not willing to live through again.
A petite girl, probably a Hogwarts kid, spun the bottle which landed on Estelle. The girl - who Estelle deemed the 'Hogwarts Kid', since she was unsure of the girls' name - walked over to her side and asked, “Don't mind me kissing you?”
Estelle cringed a bit. Hogwarts Kid looked younger than her. But that didnt seem to stop her from sounding sounding so casual.
"Sure, go ahead."
The ever so casual words escaped her lips before her brain could even begin to process what she just said. Estelle wanted to dig a hole and crawl inside and never come out until she had to go home. Ugh, even the thought of going home and dealing with Paul and Charlie seemed better than this. Wait, no she had to take that back. Comparing a game with her step family was unfair because the game would probably win for the better one.
