A usual Mahoutokoro student might have not have paid much attention to the extensive Japanese gardens that wove in and around the school castle. Some might even have been sick of them since they saw said gardens every day and elective classes were taught in them from second-year onwards. However, Ginyami, as the heir to a family who owned a chain of successful shops selling magical plants, herbs, and ingredients, had reason to be interested in them. That, and he was part of the Gardening Club. Thus, it was part of his responsibility to look after the magical and normal flora that made up the gardens.

Because Ginyami was planning to join the Quidditch Club if he could in the following year, he wondered if he would have enough time in the Gardening Club to care for the plants the proper way they should have been cared for. It worried him a bit to think that the other members of the Gardening Club might not know how to do the things he did or have the knowledge on certain plants that he had in order to care for them right. His worries creased his brow slightly as he watered some mallowsweet and checked their leaves to see if they were ready to be harvested as an herb.
