Help I am new!! & A rare quatrain

Daffy was very excited about going to Hogwarts but also very scared.
She was new and didn't know anyone, but luckily she had her childhood friend Melody. They had been best friends since they were little and they were both going to Hogwarts and hoped to be put in the same house.
As they reached the platform, Daffy was seized by a wave of panic. There were so many people there!!
She wander around the station alone. Her parents had accompanied her there but had not been able to stay long. They were both honourable people with a lot of responsibility so they couldn't miss work.
She was so lost in thought that she did not see another person approaching her and collided with her.
It was a girl. She looked friendly, had brown hair and brown eyes. Her mouth curved into a smile and she immediately rushed to help Daffy pick up what she had dropped.
