It seemed that their Seeker had seen the snitch at about the same time as him, and was going to go for it. Good. Time for a distraction.

“Time to give these guys something to REALLY worry about. Let’s GO team!” Half-yelling, half-loaughing, Aryaan Shamsi swept into the field, contesting the Quaffle at last. Adrenaline flowing through, the Indian boy wrenched the Quaffle from somebody else in the first scrimmage, zooming down the pitch towards the Ugadou keeper. They boy hadn’t made any attempt to save the Quaffle last round, but managed to block his shot with ease.

Darn, the keeper was gonna be a challenge wasn’t he.

Shamsi lingered in the air after the shot, looking directly at the Ugadou Keeper; a chesire grin on his face. “Can’t save ‘am all.”

Scrimmage 2 had him in control of the Quaffle, sweeping right past the singular Chaser contesting the Quaffle, and right back to the Keeper. Wow, this was a lot like soccer, maybe he should—

A little spin on his shot and the Quaffle flew beautifully past the keeper. Shamsi just winked at the keeper, sweeping right back to his team.

As he flew towards Akira, he gave the boy a small nod. “See? Gotta have fun with it~”

At the moment, their team seems to be doing pretty well. Aryaan and Akira had managed to get a couple of goals despite the opponent's Keeper being back in the game finally. While it would've benefited more for their team if the enemy team's Keeper was lacking focus, it wouldn't be that much of a practice match now would it. That's 20 more points for their team, giving them quite a lead but of course, they shouldn't let their guard down for a lot of things could still happen in the chaotic skies.

When Miharu was just about to go for the snitch, one of their opponents suddenly came rushing at her and caught her off guard. She was impressed enough that he had managed to catch up to her but perhaps she had let her speed fall after spotting that snitch. She gritted her teeth as she struggled from Zophyr's attempt in steering her broom off course. There is no way that she's letting him do that. Fortunately, despite Miharu lacking strength, she had managed to shake Zophyr off before building up some distance between him and her. Good thing that cheating was caught too.

"Miura-san!" Miharu called out to one of their beaters, getting a bit desperate herself to make up for the wasted time form when she was struggling against someone earlier. While this was a move that had been taught to them just earlier, she trusts that they'll be able to pull it off. Her teammates are skillful and she just has to trust that.

While the Alley Oop had been successfully performed, the trajectory was off and the snitch had slipped past Miharu's grasp. She clicked her tongue in annoyance but more on not being able to catch it despite the work that Botan did. She got back into control of her broom, looking over to Botan. "You did well." It was an attempt worth the praise. While she may not be the most friendly looking in their school, she still can say and do nice things for other people.

His aim was not the best, certainly. Perhaps it was the minor hesitance before he tried to hit anyone, or it could be that the other team simply were good when it came to evading. He was not all that upset about it. In fact, he found it easier to breathe when it didn’t hit it’s target. He had to snap himself out of his hesitance. After all, he was trusted with the role of a beater. While missing targets eased his guilty conscious, he had a whole team relying on each other including him to win this game. Still, he was once again impressed with the opponents skill. He tried to give the person who he missed a kind smile. @Namusobiya Khosa-Chaumet@Alora J. Graves

*feel free to be unnerved

Without looking back to his earlier target, he continued on the game. Taking deep breathes, hoping to ease his nerves. He glanced a bit at everyone else doing their best in the game. Scoring more points for the team made his face show a hint of a smile. They seemed pumped about their chances of winning. After a quick glance around his surroundings, he took a moment to look at the sky. Seemingly peaceful, in comparison to the fun chaos that was happening in the quidditch fields. For a moment, he felt that it was not so bad to be on the opposite end of peace every once in a while if everyone else seems to be having fun. With that he got his head back in the game, hoping for the best in the upcoming rounds.

Roleplaying as Ginyami Midorimori from Mahoutokoro
"English | Japanese"
Even though Ginyami positioned himself to block, he ended up spending most of that round just watching. Three players went for the quaffle, but the first time Aryaan got it and tried to score. The other team's keeper managed to block that one, but during the second scrimmage when Aryaan managed to get the quaffle again, he won ten points for the Mostly Mahoutokoro Team. Aryaan also got the quaffle during the third scrimmage, but when he tried to shoot again, the opposing keeper once more managed to save it.

During the fourth and fifth scrimmages, it was Akira instad of Aryaan who came away with the quaffle, but both times Akira passed it to Aryaan. After the first pass, Aryaan managed to get another goal and win another 10 points, but the attempted goal after the second pass was thwarted. Still, they were doing pretty good as the score was 70 to 0 with Mostly Mahoutokoro having the advantage. The only thing that seemed like it could cause trouble now was if the other team found the snitch.

Meanwhile, one of the beaters from the other team tried to lock their broomstick handle with Miharu's in order to steer her off course, blurting her. Ginyami grit his teeth in annoyance and shouted a curse in Japanese. Fortunately, the beater did not succeed in their blurting and were also caught, forcing them to do a penalty lap. Similarly, the other beater tried another foul by attempting to collide with Aryaan but also failed and was caught trying to cheat, resulting in another sentance of a penalty lap. The Japanese keeper was proud his teammates were so resilient, but he expected no less from such hard-working and dedicated players.

- In the role of Keeper, if the Keeper effectively blocks an attempt to score rather than obtain possession of the quaffle they can kick the quaffle at the user who attempted to score. This must be declared at the time actions are submitted. This would have damage like a bludger using an accuracy roll to hit and the user's strength score to determine the amount of damage done. If the quaffle hits or misses the target, a quafflegrab the next round would be necessary to determine which team has possession of the quaffle again.
- In the role of Keeper when you attempt to block your goal, if your opponent somehow has advantage on attempting to score a goal, that is negated (they only have their normal single roll against you).

As the players duked it out above, Avery continue to watch with somewhat confused interest. While the match had yet to really go the way of their impromptu team, the game was far from boring for an observer. She found herself humming in quiet consideration as she watched and took mental notes. All things considered, the game could have gone much worse despite the unfortunate score line.

Her attention is briefly pulled away from the match at the sight of their seeker, who's name she'd not caught before the match, seemed to double over in what may have been pain and excuse herself from the match. Avery watches her with no small hint of concern until she disappears from sight. Maybe a check in after the match was in order after all.

There was no break for the swap out, the game still in full swing as the second string seeker took to the sky. Avery worried at her lip as she looked back to the action. It wouldn't be easy at all with the way things had been playing out so far, but hope was not lost yet. As good as their opponents were shaping up to be, quidditch was nothing if not unpredictable.

Akihiko knew his team was ahead, but he wondered how long it would take the other team to catch up. Surely they couldn't be as bad as they were appearing, needing to use illegal moves to win. It made him want to laugh. He had never seen this team before, much less any members of the school, and now they were being defeated in quidditch. He supposed it was possible that they didn't play where they came from, but he doubted it. After all, quidditch was a worldwide game, and he had seen people from all around the would come to watch the world cup games.

The game continued to play, with more fouls from the other team. He smirked, knowing they were getting desperate. "Come on, you can do it!" He called to the other team. The words were nice, but the way he said it was not. Like he was talking to a child who couldn't do something. His tone was quite smug, and pride showed clearly on his face.

When he focused on what his cousin was doing, he as confused. From what he could see from the bench, his cousin was flying close to their seeker to do...something. He realized that his cousin was trying to alley-oop, and he sighed at the failed attempt. "さあ、いとこ."1 He muttered under his breath.

With a jolt, he realized he had ignored a question from a fellow benched member. He blushed and apologized for ignoring the questions, explaining that he had been focused on the game happening right in front of them. "こんにちは、トーン。"2 He said pleasantly, and quite differently from the tone he had been using earlier. "今まで彼女が飛ぶのを見たことがありませんが、彼女は設備が整っているようです。彼女はうまくいくと思います。3" There was no malice in his tone, but one could wonder if he was holding back his resentment for the other chaser. "あなたはどうなんですか。あなたはどのような役割を果たしていますか?今誰が飛んでいるかについてどう思いますか?"4 He asked the barrage of questions, and resettled himself on the bench. He expected that it would be quite awhile before he got to play, if he ever did.

Kissa tried to take a calming deep breath. Failed. Tried again. Her exhale was more of a growl than anything else, but that would have to be good enough. She'd barely hit that chaser, nothing more than a gentle, ah, collision. Maybe he should have watched where he was going better, hm? What was that interesting new phrase she'd heard-- skill issue. And then he'd had the nerve to taunt her, perched on his overpriced broom, chirping insults like a particularly annoying starling during spring. "Hal tusamiy hadha alghash?!" You call that cheating?! She fumed. "Sarikum ma hu alghash." I'll show you cheating.

Her fellow beater looked agitated as well, making his own penalty lap with no trace of his usual playful smile. Glancing at the expressions of her other teammates revealed similar stony-faced looks. She raised a proud fist towards the sky in a demonstration of strength support. No matter the outcome of this bayis wretched game, they would fly together.

She felt as if her grip on the bat would cause it to splinter-- leather gloves squeezing tight against sturdy wood. Her broom gave a small creak of protest as she whipped it around the pitch. Honor and dignity, she decided, was highly overrated. As was good sportsmanship.

Broken Broomshaft In Quidditch, on a full hit with a bludger, if the user is knocked off their broom there is a 25% chance that the broom is shattered as well. If the broom is shattered, the opponent will not be able to use the broom for the duration of the match. If they are caught by an ally, they would have no broom to return to and would have to ride with an ally or remain on the ground for the duration of the game.
Calming Presence Allies gain a 10% chance to auto-hit their chosen target. This does not stack.

Nimbus 1500 In the role of Beater, if you hit an opponent with a bludger the bludger will then ricochet off that user and target a second opponent of choice (must be declared, if not declared the target will be random and can be an ally but not yourself).

Ritsu smiled and nodded at him, it could have been weird but it was nice to be told that his work during the school year had worked well. He wasn't doing anything outright to help the team score, but watching from his elevated position on his broom making sure that everyone was ok. He might have looked rather relaxed, but he was alert and paying attention to his teammates as well as the opposite team.

He really didn't like how much the other team was attempting to cheat. If they were going to do they could at least try to do it well. They might have just been mad they hadn't got any scores. He did like that. It ment they had the good chance at winning. If they got ahead enough, it might not matter if they get the snitch.

The ideal situation was them getting all the scores, as well as the snitch. So that the others kept zero the whole time. It was unlikely to happen, but still a fun thought. It would be amazing if it did happen. He didn't know much about the other team, just that some of them were bad at cheating. And one of them was his bunk mate in the cabin. So who knew, if it was all an act to make them think they couldn't score. Only to fly under there noses with some amazing play.. Only time would tell by continuing the game.

Tig grumbled as so many attempts came his way. He knew he had skills, but this was a lot of incomings for anyone to get them all. A deep breath and he blocked another, but then a taunt followed that managed to get one in.

"You will always get lucky sometimes." He nearly spat back at the opposing chaser who spun around after a score.

The Ethiopian wizard scanned the field looking for his team and trying to generally motion for them to do better. A keeper was mostly stuck to his post, pun intended, and he was doing his best where he was.

It was a lot of chaos to take in, and the team wasn't exactly a cohesive, trained unit. This little scrimmage was not exactly played to the most practiced standard either, he was certain. Then it hit him.. not literally like a bludger. An idea. This wasn't real. It was no pressure.

A smile replaced the scowl that had formed as Tig remembered he loved the game, and this was just a social game. He'd let the stress go, which might make him looser and a better keeper anyway. Now was a chance for new friends, and maybe some bragging if the team could turn it around. Perhaps another game would appear soon where he could truly shine.

Mkhaku flexed his gloved fingers around the solid shaft of his silver arrow, racing around the perimeter of the Quidditch pitch as fast as his broom would take him; clutching it close and leaning his torso parallel to the broom to ensure he was flying efficiently. Someone in the muggle world had taught him about air-resistance, when he was parasailing in Greece, and it had stuck with him ever since; to be used for moments like this, when he needed to go as fast as humanly possible to contribute to his team.

As he angled around the last stretch, he could see Obi departing the field, and then he knew something was wrong. She was fearless, and strong, and he felt that her leaving was a mark of his failure. ‘Which of those bastards did something?’ He wondered as his dark eyes flicked around the field, trying to pin the blame on somebody.

He wouldn’t get an obvious answer, who knows why she’s gone; but that’s the past and he had a team to play for, and their new seeker seemed keen to get stuck in. That was when he heard Kissa kicking off, causing a grin to sprout as he finally made it amongst their ranks.

”Careful Kissa, we’ll get them back. - Shall we try the flying reverse wyvern tabernacle twister?” He gave to her, calling out loudly and without care; for he knew his opponents would have no idea that he was actually mocking the English names of various manoeuvres.
