Some Harmless Rocks
Ellara Butler had come to decide that the grounds was perhaps one of her favorite places on the Hogwarts castle campus, especially during the fall season, when the weather was cool, but not cold, and there weren't any bugs around to bother her. The dazzling array of falling leaves didn't seem to be too bad, either!
The Hufflepuff girl was currently playing her usual hopscotch game of stepping on the stones next to the shoreline. The pattern consisted of her leaping from rock to rock, wherever she could manage a foothold, without stepping on the actual ground. "Fifteen... sixteen..." On her next leap, her foot landed on a slanted rock, and she slipped off, her feet landing on the ground. (Her record was thirty-seven, so only reaching sixteen was simply a disappointment!)
Looking down, she pinpointed the rock which was the culprit of her failure, a small, rounded pebble lodged underneath a larger one, that resulted in its slanted surface. With a huff of annoyance, she bent down and dislodged the piece, throwing it into the lake with all of the strength she could manage to muster. The red-head blew a strand of hair out of her face, silently counting the number of times it managed to skip.One... two... three! Not bad for her first try. It looked like Ellara would have a new game to entertain herself with, after all.
The surface of the Great Lake was pretty big, and fortunately, the water wasn't all too choppy, despite the gentle breeze. It was the perfect condition for skipping stones, and so the Hufflepuff girl got to work, scouring the bank for any useful projectiles.

Some Harmless Rocks
Eri had gone out to the grounds for a normal nice day. The ground was calm and everything was nice. Lilac saw a Hufflepuff girl throwing rocks into the water. Smiling Eri decided to walk over there to have fun with her. Picking up some big rocks Eri hopped onto a big rock and threw a rock as far as she could and it splashed into the lake. "Did you know that there is a Giant squid that lives in the lake. Its huge and I really want to see it." She throws another rock at the water with a big splash.
The girl had multi colored hair. The bottom half was white an drew her bangs were maroon and the top of her hair was her natural brown hair color. She smiled looking at the girl with her silver eyes. "I'm Eri and you are?" She said smiling then threw another rock into the lake seeing it splash again with a satisfied plop.
The Ravenclaw very much wnjoyed throwing rocks into the lake she thought it was fun and she wanted to see the giant squid. It would be so cool to see it, but she probably would never see it.

Some Harmless Rocks
Ellara jumped in surprise as another rock that wasn't her own splashed into the water with a loud plop! Whipping around to identify the culprit, Ellara spotted a Ravenclaw girl with a relaxed expression on her face. Nodding her head in greeting, the Hufflepuff girl went back to collecting skipping stones, while the elusive Ravenclaw commented on the fact that apparently, a Giant squid lives beneath the surface of the lake...
So it seemed, the vague point of her statement was that if the two girls through enough rocks into the water, maybe they'd successfully be able to wake it up! Ellara tested this theory by tossing another stone into the water, but couldn't spot any octupi-like creatures lurking beneath the surface. The fact that a Giant Squid even existed... however giant that was... reminded her of the boat arrival, when she'd been watching the water for signs of trouble. She was never really afraid of what was there... She was just scared about what she didn't know was there.
The Ravenclaw girl introduced herself as Eri, which seemed like a cute, unique name. From her look, she was definitely someone who wasn't afraid to stand up for herself, with the hair dye, proud stance, and overall seemingly large physique. She seemed nice enough, friendly even in her casual conversation. "I'm Ellara," she replied with a grin.
She tossed another rock in. "So, what does a Giant Squid look like?"
