Trouble
Alex slowly walked down the corridors, books held lazily held in one hand. The corridors were loud and busy, with student swarming up and down, talking and chatting and laughing.
Normally Alex would be among them, laughing, with friends on both sides of her. It was were she loved to be, amid crowds of people. But not today. She had just come back from Potions, and as always, was in a grumpy mood. She was horrible at potions.
Alex was best described as a tomboy and troublemaker. There was no day when Alex didn't want to be running or creating scenes or climbing trees and getting her knees scraped. The times she had got in trouble heavily weighed out the times she was rewarded. But potions always left Alex feeling like this. Defeated and bored. There was nothing else she wanted to do then cause a little bit of trouble. A scene. Get in some trouble.
Alex was just about to turn a corner when she bumped into someone. She went flying to the ground and hit the floor hard. She hoisted herself up, and picked up her books, turning to face the someone she bumped into.
"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry, are you okay?"

Trouble
He was walking alone in the corridors. Which was, of course, quite common for Remy. To be alone, that is. He wasn't exactly alone voluntarily. Everyone could use some peace and quiet a while, everyone liked to be alone. But sometimes, he felt like he was getting quite lonesome. So many people around here, so many things to do. He didn't know where to start. He was very clumsy when it came to making friends. Most of the relationships he had made in Hogwarts so far were products of him pranking someone, less so common interests with his peers.
He had his mouth shut, he was looking at his feet and completely blocked out the surroundings. His hazel eyes were fixated on the floor as he was plotting his next conquest. Who to prank? How grand of a scale should it be? How much money did he have on him? He even let out a hum escape between his lips, signaling that he was indeed focusing. His brains seemed to concentrate the best if there was music in the background. He knew that music often distracted others, but not Remy. He felt at peace when he was even thinking about music. Perhaps he was just missing his mom.
Remy could hear laughter and speech in the distance. He ignored it, which proved to be a very poor calculation and move. Just a few steps after registering that laughter, he found himself on the cold hard floor. He was staring at the ceiling, furrowing his brows. The pain came after the initial shock. He could feel the pressure on the back of his head and his body, where the blow had centered. He sucked air through his teeth, slowly moving his hand towards the painful spot on his head.
"Augh! What's going on?"
He looked up to see who had dared to run at him like that. It was a girl, someone whose name he yet didn't possess. He looked at her for a long time, blinking slowly before standing up and gathering his books. He wasn't a meanspirited person, but this did kind of piss him off.
"Are you hurt," he asked, tempted to say something a bit more incisive. He restrained himself, not wanting to tamper his reputation. Instead, he went with the classic question, even if his tone was a bit sour.

"Are you hurt?"
Alex looked up to find a boy looking up at her. He was young, most likely in First Year, with almond-shaped eyes and dark, dark hair. His most prominent feature was his slim build, which would make him seem delicate and fragile if it wasn’t for the fierce, sharp look in his eyes, which instantly made Alex want to take a step back. She could tell by the way his thin eyebrows crouched down close to his eyes on a acute angle that he held he responsible for the collision. It took all her might to hold the hostile comment sitting on the edge of her lips, and to restrain her legs from simply walking off.
Instead, Alex turned to the boy and looked at his thin, pale face. Despite the spiteful look on his face, he looked nice. The type of person that Alex enjoy being around. It was the intelligent glint in his brown eyes, the similar look of attitude in his face. And Alex decided, rather obstinately, she liked him.
So she clutched her schoolbooks tighter in her right hand, took a deep breath, and looked straight in the boys eyes.
“Yeah I’m fine, really sorry about that, I can’t seem to walk for a minute without knocking something out of the way.”
And to her surprise, she held up her left hand to the boy, and continued.
“I’m Alexandra by the way, but everyone calls me Alex.”

Trouble
If anything, Remy was the one responsible for this encounter. He was the one who had his eyes glued to the floor, ignoring any warning signs of an upcoming collision. He still had that pride to hold on, the kind of attitude that he was a bit above anyone. This usually disappeared after he had befriended his target, but before that, he'd just instantly place himself before others.
He was feeling just fine. No dizziness, the pain was already almost gone. Maybe stung a little if you'd poke his head. Remy found himself puffing his chest up when she stared at him like that. As if she was trying to get inside his soul through his eyes. She looked like she was intimidated by him, squeezing her books like that and taking deep breaths. He answered to her 'challenge' by staring at her with equal intensity, inspecting her every feature.
His face softened when she offered her hand for him to grab. Well, she probably intended it as a handshake, but he'd take the best out of this. Remy firmly grabbed her hand and pulled himself up. He nodded his hand as a way to acknowledge her help. In the span of a few seconds, his natural personality pushed through.
Remy was smiling again, a wide grin plastered on his face as he stopped staring out of respect. He took a step back, still holding her hand. The boy gently shook it before letting go. She apologized and it made even Remy's heart sting a bit with guilt. She seemed to blame herself, opting for a self-pitying joke.
"No worries! I do the same," the boy kept on humming to himself. He didn't tell his name to her since she didn't specifically ask for it. You don't just give things out free! Instead, he just nodded again to signal that he did understand. He tried tilting his head a bit and squinting his eyes to see what books she was holding. Where was she going? He was full of curiosity, wondering what this new person was all about.

Trouble
Alex could tell he recognised the way she studied him, and could tell the way he studied her back, like two enemies matching one another’s every move, but any contempt or bitterness for the boy disappeared when he took her outstretched hand and pulled himself up. It may not have been the intended purpose of the hand, but he shook it gently after holding it for a few seconds, and smiled back at her.
“No worries! I do the same,” the boy said, and curiously enough, started humming a tune. She tried not to stare too much at him. The sound was not weird, or particularly exotic, but she had never seen someone with the guts to start humming in the middle of the corridor. In fact, even now, a student or two would look at him now and then, probably wondering why on earth would a boy hum in the middle of a hallway, and Alex couldn’t help but agree with that. But she couldn't judge him too hard on this, the times Alex had fallen asleep in class were nearly as many as the times she had broken something. Although, that didn’t quite compete with humming in the middle of the hallway, Alex probably was thinking too much about it.
The boy then tilted his head, ever so slightly, and Alex followed his gaze found as it found the three books held tightly in one hand. She relaxed her grip on them, and matched the smile that she’d seen before on the boy’s face.
“I just came back from Potions,” she said, holding her books a little higher.
“Which I’m terrible at, by the way,” she said as an afterthought. “I don’t think my teacher has the word fun in her vocabulary.”
It was a weak attempt at a joke, but all she could think of. She looked back at the boy, hoping she hadn’t ruined the boy’s opinion of her with a feeble joke.

Trouble
He could vividly remember the first time he was punished, maybe a few weeks ago. Not everyone was particularly as fond of a little boy humming in the corridors that were supposed to be quiet for the sake of everyone's sanity. But when was the last time when Remy had stopped to listen and accepted his fate? He'd rebel just for the thrill of it. As long as he wouldn't get kicked out of Hogwarts, he'd continue to walk on the edge of the knife, teetering between getting sent back home and staying in here.
When she managed to match a smile to his, he figured that he had succeeded in bringing her disgust towards him down. She lifted her books to reveal a segment of her past. What had she been up to for just a second ago? She had been in potions. The thought of potions made Remy shiver visibly. He knew how easy it was to screw everything up in potions. So far, he had managed just alright, he hadn't messed up. He'd like to keep it this way, nice, smooth and easy.
The girl made a lame joke, making Remy stop the humming on his tracks. He had been sticking his face in her books, having no concept of personal space ever planted in his head. He had his hands behind his back, as he looked up to her, raising one brow. That was before he started laughing quietly under his breath. She got the teacher spot on.
"You're so lame," he didn't sugarcoat anything, but you could hear from his tone that he wasn't all serious about what he had said too. After he was done laughing at her and her joke, he straightened his posture and cleared his throat lightly. He resumed the humming of his tune, and if you had ever spent time doing muggle activities, you'd immediately recognize the song. It was an annoying, catchy tune from a toothpaste commercial.

“You’re lame.”
It wasn’t the fact that he’d said it so out-front that annoyed Alex. It was rude, Alex thought. But then again, Alex wasn’t the politest person. And why should he say it nicely when, yes, it was a horrible joke. But it still annoyed her.
Alex knew the joke wasn’t the best. The moment it came out of her mouth she had known it wasn’t going to make anyone laugh. But still, that didn’t make her lame. Sure, the joke was lame. But not her. She shrugged to the boy.
“I’m not lame,” she pointed out. “The joke was. By the way, what’s your name? I - .”
Alex stopped suddenly when she spotted someone in the crowd. A teacher, at least double the height of anyone in the room, and as thin as a stick. He had extraordinary long arms that hung down to the end of his thighs, and pale, almost sickly, skin. His eyes were large and pale green like an owls, and his hair was an afro of tight, blonde curls. Upon seeing the man, Alex ducked behind the boy with no known name, and even with him thin build managed to cover herself with his body. Since he was probably curious with the sudden turn of events, she started talking quickly and fast, keeping her eye on the teacher in case she should spot him.
“See the really tall guy with a blonde afro? He’s one of my teachers, and he absolutely hates me. I put a nest of doxy eggs in his desk a couple of days ago, and now he manages to find a way to put me in detention every time I see him. Every time.”

Trouble
He could sense the tension return once again, still unable to wipe the smile away from his face. It was fun to poke fun at Alexandra. She didn't seem to react too harshly to what he said, giving him a meek and mellow impression of her. He disliked meek and mellow people. He liked to see people at their limits. It was far more fascinating to him. Being a fair enough guy, he'd stop there for now.
Remy raised his brow at the abrupt stop. It was like her sentence just hit a wall and collapsed, holding its heart in pain. His eyes followed hers, finally resting upon a teacher. It was a rather sickly looking teacher. It reminded the little boy of when he was sick. He looked exactly the same! She hid behind his rather slender figure as if it was going to help with anything.“I’m not lame, the joke was. By the way, what’s your name? I-”
Nonetheless, Remy puffed his chest and put his arms on his hips to make himself a bit bigger. He tried to look less suspicious, removing that grin from his face for good. He did not even question what was going on, knowing this situation way too well. He too sometimes had to hide from teachers and other authority figures. It usually meant that he had pranked them before. Soon enough, he discovered that the girl had pranked the girl too.
"I put a nest of doxy eggs in his desk a couple of days ago-"
That was all to make his face light up again. His eyes glimmering like shining stars, smile slowly growing back. He started slowly walking backward to get them out of the scene. He had so many questions. "Where'd you get the doxy eggs? How did you execute the performance? How'd it go?'" he started rapid-firing her with multiple questions, his voice demanding but excited at the same time.

Trouble
The boy’s face lit up almost instantly, and Alex couldn’t help but smile.
“A couple of days I was in detention for speaking back to a teacher and I had too clean out a massive doxy infection, and I found a huge bunch of little black doxy eggs, so I shoved ‘em down into my pocket and kept them in my room so they didn’t die or anything,” Alex paused to see if the boy was still interested. Most people dosed off when she was recounting her tales, but the boy still stood there, face as bright as ever.
“During lunch time, when most of the school was at the Great Hall, I grabbed the doxy eggs and slid them into my pocket again. It was pretty easy, actually. Almost no-one was around. I slipped into his office, placed the eggs in, and left. And then, a couple of days after, I was walking along the same corridor, and suddenly I heard a loud, screeching sound. I looked into the window with all the other kids, and you should of seen it. At least a hundred little doxies were flying around, attacking the guy. And I almost felt sorry for him. Almost.”
Alex still grinned every time she thought about it. I wasn’t particularly clever, and if this boy was like her, he probably had more complicated and clever, but it worked, and the results were better then she could’ve hoped for.

Trouble
He listened to every word she said very carefully, storing every piece of information in his brain for the future adventures he had in mind. Remy was indeed curious about why she was in detention in the first place. After all, you had to do something to get that far. Deciding to ask that question later, he kept his ears open for any more information she could drop. Maybe he'd get the permission to tag along one day.
Remy had to suppress his laughter as he kept backing away, hiding the girl. He eventually gave in a snorted as quietly as he could. Just the idea of the sickly looking teacher screeching was amusing enough to him. He looked at her, seeing that she was wearing a grin similar to his. He was glad that they at least seemed to have one interest in common. Remy could see from her uniform that she was a Gryffindor. Something he had not paid attention to earlier. Maybe that'd explain her love for pranks."At least a hundred little doxies were flying around, attacking the guy. And I almost felt sorry for him. Almost.”
he said dramatically with a jovial tone, but to the end, he did get more serious. He did want to be the one to sit next to her in the next detention, sharing the punishment for whatever they had done."I take it back. The thing I said about you being lame. You're not lame, you're much more clever than I initially thought you'd be. You will be pardoned only if you take me with you to your next conquest,"
