Alan was just slightly frustrated that the duel that had started out so promising would now put them in such a bad position. Alan had so much practicing to do, because the odds of him winning were quite slim. Last year he had a great year but this one seemed to have it out for him and perhaps it was because he has way less time to practice since he was spending a lot of time studying.

Only Flipendos, that was all that was cast. Although both of the Slytherins tried to avoid the spells, Bridget got hit twice, although one only just grazed her, still a bit sore I'd imagine. This was the very end of the duel, the last chance ditch effort to win the last duel in the yearly tournament. But upon the last spell hitting, Delilah knew the answer, and it was time to announce it.
