Alexandra Hampsworth || Year 1 || Ravenclaw

Born May 28, 2012 in a rural part of London. Grew up in her family home as an only child while spending most of her days in the library studying family history and muggle related things, occasionally attempting to make them.

Family
Alexandra’s family situation is a bit complicated, they were loving, yes, but overly so at times, in a controlling manner. Her parents kept hawkish eyes over everything in her life, and now that she is on her way to Hogwarts, they’ve been quite problematic and over the top, making her promise to write a letter everyday. Thankfully, communication is kept between all parties and they have been made aware of her feelings on their behaviour, though, that doesn’t mean it still isn’t a struggle to change, so she finds herself staying alone most of the time

Friends
Few and far between, Alexandra wasn’t a regular maker of friends. She’s a person with no shortage of acquaintances but a problem with actually connecting with those people on a more intimate level. Additionally, it didn’t help that there was a level of segregation between her and her peers due to the time she spent looking into various things about muggles (their inventions, culture, etc).

Her first friend, a young boy by the name of Edward, had been one of the closest she had ever had, he shared similar interests, would tell funny anecdotes, and was overall a very enjoyable person to be around. One day, they had a small misunderstanding (she had accidentally insinuated that he was stupid), which turned into a long-standing grudge against each other, the final nail in the coffin was when she had unintentionally confirmed doubts he had about himself, and with that, he burned her favourite book and ran away from home. Traces of him were found ten kilometres south in a forest, but he himself was never found.

Her second friend, a girl called Amy, someone who always provided a new perspective on things, she still keeps in contact with, she had moved to America due her parents finding a better paying alternative workplace. She has had several more friends throughout the years, although these two were the most notable of the handful, so the time she isn’t spending in the library and making muggle-like things, she’s writing to a friend.

School Life
So far she has been warmly welcomed to Ravenclaw and will be attending classes in some weeks time. She is currently looking forward to learning more about magic as her arsenal of spells is currently extremely limited (as in she has none right now), and making meaningful new connections with interesting and fun people.

First Instance of Magic
Her first instance of magic was purely on accident, a self preservation instinct kicked in whilst she was six years old - a man had tried to drag her off into an alley, her reaction? To disappear. She vanished and was found by her parents, cowering on the rooftop. Her feelings nowadays are merely that of indifference towards the man, but thankfulness that her magic had saved her.
