Unexpected Meeting PV Carrie Barber Closed

Tina listened carefully as Carrie told her the classes she liked and didn't liked. She had a lot of the same ones, but a few of them were different. It was always nice to have some things in common with a friend, but its always more interesting to have differences. 

She was relieved that Carrie wasn't offended when she asked her about her magical background. She didn't think it determined what kind of spellcaster a person, but it did affect the person's knowledge of the Wizarding world and affects some parts of their personality. Since Carrie was a half blood, she could experience both sides of both worlds even though she may lean towards one side rather than the other. "I'm a pureblood, but I visit the muggle world a lot."

When Carrie splashed the bucket full of water on her, it felt cold and chill -  the perfect combination. In a friendly retaliation, she grabbed two buckets and splashed the content of water on her simultaneously. What better way to take a bath then to throw buckets of water at a new friend? She chuckled in her head when she realized how crazy the thought sounded in her head.

Carrie knew that some purebloods still looked down upon anyone with the slightlest trace of non-magical ancestry and even other purebloods that didn't share such extreme views. It did thankfully seem to happen less and less nowadays than back in her parents' day, for example. Her father most likely had suffered a lot through that sort of treatment. She was glad that Tina's family was open-minded. 

"Really? What sort of places have you been to?" Carrie then asked, rather curious.

She was surprised when Tina threw two torrents at her at same time, but happily so. She shri a bit in delight as it all hit her. The cold water was rather refreshing. What mud that had gotten directly on her skin was easily washed out. The patches that had clung to her uniform seemed a bit harder to get rid of, specially since it had started to dry out by now. Well, what couldn't be taken care this way, she would have to leave to the laundry in the castle.  She would just have to find a way to dry out at least most of it. Dripping wet and partially mud-stained wouldn't be much more presenteable than fully mud covered after all.

"That was awesome! I think I should be mostly cleaned up ... What about you?" She remembered that some mud had got also onto Tina's hair and she hadn't really aimed to hit that high. She wouldn't mind keep this going for a little more not just to rectify that, but also just because it was honestly pretty fun.

Tina handed Carrie the last bucket. This was the showdown, the final attack. After this, they'd have to use the towels to clean the floor and  head back to the small hall. So much time has passed and she barely noticed. She challenges, "Let's see if you can catch me!"

Although a bad idea, Tina ran across the wet, slippery floor. She eventually slipped, but used it to her advantage to get farther away from Carrie. Almost slamming into a wall, she maneuvered herself towards the opposite side of the room.

Her adventurous attempt to escape Carrie reminded her of her childhood. It had been too long since she had been having this much fun. The last time she went to a water park was when she was 3 and she didn't really enjoy it. She could only go on the baby rides and envied her parents who were allowed on the big rides. Nevertheless, she made the most of it and managed to smile the entire time. Looking back, she only loved the time she spent with her parents.

As much as she appreciated Carrie's company, it didn't fill the hole she felt in her heart. They would part soon and she would be alone once again.

Tina's challenge surprised her, but Carrie was glad for this keep up at least a bit longer. A long time probably had passed since their accidental encounter and yet it she felt it couldn't be enough, just as it was inevitable all drawing to a close. Once they mopped up the aftermath of their battle and got back to the starting point of their fateful meeting, it would be regretfully likely time to part ways. Then she would be alone again for a real while ... 

She met the challenge head on, calling back out, "Oh, I will!" She tightly held on to the bucket with both hands as she carefully but still somewhat quickly crossed the drenched surface. She was glad that the other girl seemingly hadn't got hurt as she ended sliding acroos the slippery floor, which even had worked as advantage to Tina in the game. 

This surely was the most fun she had had in a long while and it wasn't likely that she would get to have a moment anything like this again anytime soon. So she would make the best out of it while it still lasted and savor the moment.

Once it seemed like she had close the distance enough, Carrie would then lift the bucket and throw a torrent of water as fast as she could. 

Tina laughed as she reached a dead end. She didn't mind getting wet, especially when her hair was still dirty. She got up and dusted herself with exaggeration, pretending she couldn't see Carrie. She says in a knowing tone, "Carrie will never be able to find me. Too bad I was too fast for her to catch me..."

She looked down at her shoes and saw a spider. Some people would've screamed, but Tina was more concerned about the water reaching the spider. What if it suffocates and dies? She quickly picked it up and gently moved it to the corner of the room. Tina sighs with relief as she returns to her oblivious state. She couldn't help, but to wonder whether if it was a sign that her animals were in danger. the thought was quite superstitious, but she didn't believe it was ever smart to doubt things in a world of magic. She wondered what they were doing and imagined them preparing for winter even though it was only October. She could practically vision the snakes chasing the mice and the rabbits and deer racing each other to gather food. Her animals would always have a place in her heart and she would always consider them as family.

Even with how relatively large the lavatory was, it was pretty inevitable to eventually run into a dead end. As Tina reached such a fate however, she suddenly seemed to begin pretending like she had made a sucessful escape, as if they weren't still right within sight of each other. She couldn't help laughing a bit more herself. It did seem a bit silly, but then wasn't this whole endeavour? In anycase, it did appear like it would add even more to the fun, so she decided to play right along with it all.

"Oh boy ... Now where did Tina go? I can't seem to find her ... Seems like she really was a bit too quick for me. But I definitely still find and catch her ..." Carrie then said, as if she couldn't see the other girl right in front of her either as she approached closer and closer, as if she had suddenly become disillusioned or something. 

She tried to lift the bucket overhead and dump its contents from above on Tina. Not only did it seem like it would even more fun more fun to do it that way this time, but as it seemed like the other girl's hair really was still covered in mud, it also appeared to be the most efficient manner to take of that particulat issue. 

Tina laughed as she recalled the events of their "adventure". As she spoke with great detail and exaggeration, she cleaned up the water on the ground. It took a long time, even though it felt like a few seconds. Her version of the story helped time past by quickly with an entertaining factor. Once content with the perfect appearance of the bathroom, she said, "I guess we better return to the small hall so I can gather the books I had. I want to return to my dorm and read every single book 3 times, so I can soak in all that information."

She looked at Carrie with a morose look. When would she ever see her new friend again? Would they ever come across each other again? Recently, she has been staying in her dorm except to go out for classes and special events. The enthusiasm she had for Hogwarts had disappeared and she was primarily focused on her books. She didn't have time to make friends. Even the people she accidentally became friends with were barely seen in a weekly basis. She frowned at the thought of never seeing her again, but knew that it was her normal way of life.
