Madi giggled "yeah, once you tell my dad something, you kinda need to stick to it" she says with a smile. She blushes slightly as she listened to what Simon said about her and giggled, remembering back to their first day at Hogwarts "oh yeah I did, hehe, it's not my fault though, your body language made it easy for me to do so, in a good way" she said with a giggle.

"I mean good looking as in, attractive" Madi says, now also getting kinda nervous too but eager to hear Simons' answer. Once she did, she playfully nudged him and blushed lightly "aww thank you Ori" Madi says sweetly. "i'm sure they don't, besides, even if there were guys who liked me, i would still say no, you mean more to me then any of those other guys Si, you're my best friend and I'd pick you over any guy anyway" Madi said, slightly without thinking. She blushed as soon as she realised and covered her face with a pillow, peeking over the top of it as she looked at Simon and giggled.

She thought for a bit as she mulled over the question Simon asked her. Boys she fancied... Madi couldn't really think of any but she looked at Simon, smiled and blushed "I mean I can't really think of anyone in particular. I mean, I kinda have the same answer as you do Si. You're a really good looking guy, I noticed it from the first day at Hogwarts, so I'm picking my best friend too" Madi says with a sweet smile, as a feeling of butterflies entered her tummy but, the kind of butterflies you feel when you're getting feelings for someone. Am I starting to see my best friend as more than a best friend, i think so...I just wonder if he's seeing me that way too or not Madi thinks to herself as she yawns a little and rubs her eyes.

"Hey Ori, I'm glad you came to visit me, I really did miss you when we said goodbye before going on term break" Madi says in a cute sleepy voice.

He found it cute that Madison blushed so heavily that she had to cover her face with a pillow. Clearly, the compliment meant a lot to her. Maybe he should be even more generous with his compliments in the future. Simon had a tendency of being quite secretive with his thought and feelings, but learned more and more just how important it could be to put these into words.

Then it was Madison's time to answer. "I mean, I can't really think of anyone in particular. I mean, I kinda have the same answer as you do Si. You're a really good looking guy, I noticed it from the first day at Hogwarts, so I'm picking my best friend too."

A part of him wondered if she only picked him to be nice, because he had picked her before. Another part of him was genuinely flattered, that a girl like Madison would pick him over any other guy when it came to appearance. There were so many good-looking guys in their school that she could have picked instead.

"Fair enough", he said with a smile, not letting himself show just how flattered he actually was.

They looked at each other for a couple of seconds. Simon was unsure of how to continue the conversation. After all, this was unknown territory that clearly deviated from the usual conversations they had in school.

"Hey Ori", said Madison after a while. "I'm glad you came to visit me, I really did miss you when we said goodbye before going on term break."

"I'm glad to be here too, Aqi", he said with a smile and yawned. "Maybe it's about time we go to bed. So... Where will I be sleeping?"

In his heart, he wanted to sleep in Madison's bedroom rather than sleep on his own in another room on the big and lonely floor. After sleeping in the Boy's Dormitory in the Ravenclaw Tower for so long, he had got used of sharing a bedroom with others, and at home, he always knew that his parents was around. But here, on this floor, he was all alone, except for his best friend. It would feel lonely to sleep in a room of his own.

Madi smiled back at Simon and giggled "I think we should too, and you can sleep in my room Ori, I don't want you sleeping in a room on your own, that would be mean, but you have a choice, you can sleep in my bed with me since it's big enough for both of us, if you don't feel too uncomfortable doing so" Madi says with a smile as she knew that the bed from the hanging chair was out too, in case he wanted that option instead.

In her head and heart, Madi wanted Simon to sleep in her bed, having slept on her own a lot at Hogwarts, having someone like Simon sleep in the same bed as her would be a big comfort for her. When she was younger, Madi had slept in a big bed with her older brother or her dad, especially after her accident because she'd get nightmares so having someone with her would always calm her down and keep her asleep.

As Madi got into bed, she thought about the whole day in her head, how happy she felt getting to hang out with Simon again and how safe she felt with him being back with her in person. As she organised some of her pillows so that her neck would be supported and comfy, she made sure that there were more than enough pillows left for Simon to use either on her bed or on the one that came out of her hanging chair. She faced Simon and smiled, saying sleepily "I didn't pick you to be nice Ori, I picked you because what I said was true, i'd pick you over any other guy at Hogwarts because you're the one I know I always feel safe with and can rely on" Madi says as her eyes start to feel heavy and they flutter shut, like a butterfly closing its wings. Madis face was nearly consumed by her cover, however as her baby hairs fell to the side of her face, shaping it gently, her little nose and dream filled eyes could be seen from above the blanket. She snuggled into Simon and lay close to him, feeling protected and safe next to her best friend

”It’s okay. We can sleep in your bed. I don’t mind.”

Since Madison was alright with it, he felt like he was alright with it too. This was not his first sleepover with a friend, and with Madison he felt surprisingly relaxed, despite she being a girl. Perhaps it was because they knew each other so well, having spent months together at school. Simon went over to his suitcase, pulled out his sleepwear and out of a reflex he grabbed his wand and put it on the bedside table. Not that he would need it, but his wand was almost like an extended part of him at this point. He always felt more relaxed having his wand within close range.

When he removed his hoodie, a small scar on the left side of his stomach, close to his hip, could be seen in the dim light. He put his clothes in a neat pile on his suitcase, before crawling back into the bed and pulled the cover up to his chest. He laid down on his side again, looking at Madison. She looked quite tired.

"I didn't pick you to be nice Ori", she said. "I picked you because what I said was true, i'd pick you over any other guy at Hogwarts because you're the one I know I always feel safe with and can rely on."

Simon smiled. "Thanks, Madi. I feel the same way about you of course. If there is one person I would trust with a secret, it'd be you, because I know you would never break a promise or let me down, at least not deliberately." He paused for a moment. "I think I'm gonna sleep like a rock. This bed is as soft and luxurious as a hotel bed. How do you even get up in the mornings?" He chuckled.

However by the time Simon asked Madi that question, she was already fast asleep.

Madi's lights turned on slowly at around 8 in the morning. Her dad used a spell that connected her bedroom lights to her bedside clock so that, at 8am, her lights slowly started brightening. Madi rubbed her eyes and saw that her head was on Simon's chest, she must have cuddled into him during the night. Madi blushed and slowly sat up, rubbing her eyes again and checking the time. 8 in the morning, not bad she thinks to herself as she gets up, without waking Simon, goes to her bathroom, washes her face and ties her into a loose braid before going back over to her bed and sitting on it. She giggles softly and starts slowly tickling Simon to wake him up. She continues to do so until he wakes up and then scrambles off her bed before he has the chance to tickle her back. "Good morning Ori. I was thinking we could have pancakes and bacon for breakfast, but if you don't want that, we have a pantry full of cereals and other breakfast foods you can have" she says with a smile, slowly making her way back onto her bed. She sits there in her pjs and fuzzy socks as she smiles at Simon and giggles Also after I show you the rest of the house, is there anything specific that you want to do today?" Madi asks as she nudges Simon again to keep him awake. "Come on Orii wake up! Madi says playfully before whispering into his ear with a giggle "we can go downstairs and make food!! How does chocolate chip pancakes with bacon, maple syrup and strawberries sound? Madi says with a giggle, knowing how much Simon loves food.

Simon was having a very good dream. He was in a big sunlit house with pink interior where the furniture was made of pink candy floss. He could eat as much of it as he wanted. It was sweet and soft and with his mouth watering it quickly melted on his tongue. But as he was about to take another bite, he felt something poke him in his side. No, tickle. Slowly he woke from the dream, still licking his lips.

"Good morning, Ori", he heard Madison's voice say.

Simon slowly opened his eyes and smiled as he saw his best friend sitting in front of him with her hair tied in a loose braid.

"Morning", he said with a deep morning voice.

"I was thinking we could have pancakes and bacon for breakfast, but if you don't want that, we have a pantry full of cereals and other breakfast foods you can have."

"That sounds absolutely delicious."

"Also after I show you the rest of the house, is there anything specific that you want to do today?"

"Hmmm..." He closed his eyes, thinking about what he would like to do.

"Come on, Orii, wake up!" said Madison playfully before continuing with a seductive whispering voice: "We can go downstairs and make food!! How does chocolate chip pancakes with bacon, maple syrup and strawberries sound?"

Simon chuckled a little. "You would make a great salesman", he said. "Or -woman. I don't know what I wanna do today. But don't feel like you have to keep me entertained. I'm good with whatever as long as I'm with you."

He stretched and yawned before leaning his head on his hand. "Seriously, your bed, Madi... I'm thinking about bringing it with me. I've slept so good. How did you sleep?"

Madi giggled and blushed a little "ok, that works for me!! No way this bed is mine, but you're welcome to come and stay with me any holidays you want to" Madi says with a smile.
"I slept so good, better than I have at Hogwarts because I actually slept rather than watching the night sky she says with a smile.
Madi soon gets out of her bed, still wearing her grey butterfly pyjamas and fuzzy socks, yawns and throws one of her fluffy pillows towards Simon "what do you want more, breakfast or to keep sleeping?" Madi says with a giggle, guessing from previous times that his answer would be breakfast, considering her best friend's love for food. Madi opens her blinds to let in the morning and gasps with delight, "eee Simon, Simon wake up and look, it snowed last night and it looks so pretty!!" Madi says, nudging Simon with a massive smile on her face. She goes back over to her window bench and stares out of her window at the snow.
Madi missed seeing snow, especially from her window at home, she loved looking at the snowflakes on her window panes and seeing the snow fall from the sky. She knew that her and Simon would be going down for breakfast soon but she wanted him to see the snow first. She sees that Simon is still in her bed and so goes over, climbs on the bed with her legs either side and jump on the bed "Oriii, get up you're missing all the snowflakes on the window" Madi said with a giggle as she soon goes back over and sits there like a child sitting at their window waiting for santa or the tooth fairy to arrive.

"I slept so good, better than I have at Hogwarts because I actually slept rather than watching the night sky."

"Really? Perhaps that's because you slept beside your best friend", he said jokingly.

"What do you want more, breakfast or to keep sleeping?"

She threw one of the fluffy pillows at him (he caught it and threw it right back at her). Although he felt like he could stay in the bed all the day, he knew he would soon get hungry. And the pancakes she had teased him with was quite enough for him to consider the alternative.

"I think breakfast would be a good option."

Madison went over to the window and opened the blinds. The sky seemed cloudy and white. Apparently it had been snowing during the night and when Simon did not come to the window instantly on Madison's command, she returned to the bed, climbed on top of him and jumped impatiently. She could be really tenacious sometimes.

"Oriii, get up you're missing all the snowflakes on the window."

He chuckled. "I don't think they're going anywhere, Aqi. You seem unusually eager today. And since you're being so impatient..." Simon grabbed Madison's arms and quickly wrestled her to the bed, sitting on top of her instead, looking at her with a smile. "... I guess, I'll better have a look!"

He climbed off her, got up from the bed and went over to the window, massaging his arms since it was a whole lot colder outside the cover. It was a beautiful view from the frosty window, with snow laying on the roof tops and tree branches, almost looking like a picture from a story book.

"Wow. It must be cold outside today. Can you give me my hoodie?"

Madi giggles and nods, handing Simon his jumper "tell me that wasn't worth getting out of bed for, look how pretty it is" Madi says with a smile. She then giggles and heads to her bedroom door "come on Ori, let's go make those pancakes" Madi says, heading towards her stairs but waits at the top for Simon.

Once he is there, they head down the stairs and go into the kitchen. Madi reads a note from her parents, saying that they had to go into London for business and they won't be back till later. Madi smiles and puts the note into the bin before getting out a mixing bowl and two frying pans before going into the pantry and getting the flour, chocolate chips and sugar, placing all three on the bench. She then goes over to the blue cold storage unit gets out the milk, two eggs, bacon and the butter before going back to the bench and smiling at Simon. "Misky, could you set the table for Simon and I please" Madi asked the family house elf. Misky had worked for the family since Madison was 2 and the family treated he well. Misky nodded and set the table for her and Simon before going back to her room. Madi giggles and smiles a cute smile. Once the kitchen starts making the breakfast, Madi sits with Simon at the table and they chat some more until two hot plates of pancakes land on the table, along with the strawberries and the bacon, another thing her father used a spell on, making food appear on the table once it's ready. Once everything was on the table and Madi was sitting down with Simon, she started softly singing Here Comes The Sun by the Beatles, perfectly in pitch.

While the pancakes were being prepared, Simon tried to find his way around the kitchen to put out some plates and cutlery. Being alone with her in the kitchen to have breakfast just the two of them almost made him feel slightly older. Being eight years younger than his big sister, Simon was usually regarded young and small. But with his increasing height and level of self-dependency, his parents had slowly begun to accept that their son was not a child anymore.

When the pancakes and bacon was finally ready and landed one by one on their plates, Madison started singing. Simon had never heard her sing before, except for some humming in the corridors at Hogwarts when they occasionally ran out of things to talk about. He could tell she was a good singer.

He listened to her with a smile, thinking that Madison possessed many talents. After a while, he interrupted her: "You have a beautiful voice. I didn't now you could sing like that! Do you sing often?"

Simon poured a glass of juice and took a bite of his pancake. "Mmm... So, so good... These can definitely compete with the pancakes at Hogwarts!"

After they finished their breakfast, the plates left the table to be washed in the sink. "So, what do we do now? You hinted last night that you had something in mind." He smiled.
