Pre-Hogwarts history

Augustus Pyke born on the 13th of August, the sun shone through the pristine window of Pyke Manor, the blinds were drawn back and Athena was in her bed, a gorgeous red haired woman with sweat covering her face as she she gave the final push to allow her first born into this world. The midwife handed the screaming child to his mother who's face instantly relaxed upon gazing at her baby boy. She looked up beaming to a broad, tall man with broad shoulders and a a small belly and jet black hair, Algernon Pyke had tears streaming down his eyes. The couple aptly named the child Augustus.

Algernon however, only a few days after his first son's birth was summoned back to the ministry cutting his vacation vastly short due to a crisis in his department as usual. Thus, the routine of Algernon being constantly absent from the manor resumed he would either return in the evening too exhausted or he would sometimes be gone for weeks as his work at the International Magical Standards Body forced him to be constantly abroad, he had little relations with his wife and child. However as soon as he was able to he would spend lavishly on the both of them to make up for his absence.

Years pass and Augustus grew up to be an extremely precocious little child with a vast and unsatiated wanderlust he was curious about everything especially magic, he would giggle with glee as he watched his mother in the kitchen waving her wand about assisting the house elves with the cooking and cleaning as tools and utensils flew about and fulfilled their tasks. It was during that fateful day that Augustus who was being carried by his mother in her unoccupied hand, he decided to imitate his mother's wand movement and with a sudden explosion the contents of the cauldron imploded sending its contents all over the kitchen floor, the ceiling on the house elves present and himself and his mother. "Booom!" Baby Augustus giggled and laughed causing his mother to go from sheer shock to bursting out laughing, her son has spoken his first word ever and it was neither the usual daddy or mommy or any of its variants it was boom. This child she knew was going to be quite the wizard.

After the kitchen incident, Augustus seemed to have thoroughly enjoyed the explosion so much that he accidentally singed the hair off off of his nanny house elf. He also accidentally levitated one of the smaller portable cauldrons, flipped it around and trapped another house elf under it until the poor thing was discovered by Athena who immediately freed the shivering elf. All the while Augustus sat on the floor giggling and laughing at the mishaps he had caused.

Athena was becoming more distant and angrier, she would take out her frustration on Augustus at times. However she soon realized what she was doing was seriously harming her children. At this point Augustus had two more siblings, a middle brother Abel and a brand new baby girl Astrid. Athena filed for divorce and it turned out that it was exactly what the pair needed and until today they are the best of friends, luckily the divorce was very amicable and due to that it almost had no effect on the children. Algernon allowed them to keep the estate and he moved out but would visit whenever his work allowed him, which was not a lot but he never left his children's lives.

Years pass and Augustus was outside in the courtyard of the estate playing with Abel when the pair noticed a barn owl hovering over the estate and slowly descending towards Augustus. Who on earth would send Augustus an OWL? Augustus waited for the owl until it landed on his shoulder with a letter attached to its talented leg. He hurriedly unwrapped the letter and flipped it over. On the back Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry written in a neat scrawled handwriting. Augustus' eyes were wide as saucers. He then quickly dashed into the house to proudly show his mom his acceptance letter. He had already ripped the letter open and read its contents. The very same day the proud mother took her children to Diagon Alley to buy her son the best supplies galleons can buy and his new owl.



Augustus is a tall, lanky wizard with a very slim figure.
Augustus has a set of piercing icy cold, sky blue eyes that appear to look right through you piercing your soul. His thin lips seemed to be always curled up in a sarcastic smirk as though the whole world was his own private joke. Augustus has a curtain of raven, black hair that flows smoothly down to his shoulders. He is left handed.

Augustus is a highly practical boy who sees all form of jewelry or accessories as utterly pointless and vain. During Hogwarts he is always seen with the usual, black work robe, however he forgoes the pointed hat whenever possible as it gives him a headache. During the weekend or after classes he wears plain but very high quality robes from Madam Malkin's. However his new found favorite to wear and the one he wears the most often is a jade robe with a wide sleeve and a deep hood sentto him by his mother, who was herself a Slytherin alumnus.



Augustus exudes of self confidence and immense pride that often borders on straight up arrogance. Augustus has a keen eye for reading people and often uses his natural talent to manipulate others or turn situations favorably for himself. He believes emotions are beneath him and works purely out of logic, reasoning and observation rather than let his emotions or gut instinct dictate his actions. Augustus is highly intelligent and has a deep and unsatiated lust for knowledge, especially towards the dark arts.

Despite his outward arrogant and aloof exterior, once people give Augustus a chance and he deems you worthy of his friendship, Augustus is quite charming and witty often cracking sarcastic jokes making fun of himself and others to make his rare and few friends laugh at his expense if it would make them feel better. He is also loyal to those who are loyal to him. However woe to those who defy him or betray him, Augustus has a mentality of obliterating his enemies with hellish fury crushing them and humiliating them as he believes crushing your enemy completely with no mercy will not give them a chance to retaliate against him.

Family

Algernon Pyke: Father, employed in the Department of International Magical Cooperation in the International Magical Trading Standards Body. He is absent most of the time but made up his absence by showing his family with expensive gifts and spending every free moment with them. He graduated from Hogwarts and was a Hufflepuff alumni.

Athena Pyke: Mother, A descendant of a once extremely affluent pureblood family. Athena right after graduating from Hogwarts, tied the knot and settled into her lofty estate right outside of Dublin. Very shortly after she was pregnant with her first child.

Abel Pyke: Brother, Aloof and distant are the two exact words that describe Abel if Augustus is arrogant and haughty, Abel is cold exponentially more arrogant than his older sibling.
