Alan stepped onto the Quidditch Training Pitch, not entirely sure yet what exactly had given him such an idea. Perhaps it had been nostalgia when he had learned there would be a unofficial Quidditch game. Well if anything it was quite exciting really and made him curious as to who he would be playing with and against who. It was a whole mess of different schools having signed up, which also meant that this was going to be somewhat odd. Usually teams had time to grow used to one another and would train as a team to develop their strengths and strategies. Now however they would mostly be stranger against a specific school and still Alan tended to be confident in their ability to get this done anyway.

Greeting his makeshift team with a nod, he pushed off the ground after a signal was heard and embraced the familiar whoosh of air around him as he was propelled into the air. Alan hadn't missed it but he wasn't aware how at the same time he had missed the feeling of freedom being in the air could bring as well. Well that was as long as he focused on not falling anyway. This could turn somewhat troublesome, yet Alan knew that people would likely not dare to go after him as he was pretty evasive and has made a name for himself on matters of dexterity. "Let's do this then," he muttered to no one in particularly and gave a grin. It would have been fun if Howard could have heard of this too as it would have meant the both of them possibly playing against one another once more like in the past.

	----- Surely it wasn't to be this brisk during their entire visit. Mkhaku had heard of Scotland, and how it seemed to rain in all of the years' months, hold a biting breeze from across the North Sea and the Atlantic Ocean which seemed to make her people as sodden and bitter as her dirt. That didn't stop him though, beaming a pearly white grin to everyone he met, greeting them with a polite nod and gentle eyes. He seemed a person that was laid back in almost everything, though his height and impressive athletic build seemed to indicate that the boy loved sports of all forms; and thus was likely to prove he was anything but laid back when he had a broom in his hand. Equally he greeted his team, clapping Namusobiya on the shoulder as he approached. "Ready to thrash them, Moyo?" He gave to her, before he turned his grin to the rest of the group, trying to share that spirit with them. "Hello team. Africa has sent her best, who's up for a game?" He beamed a grin, eager to spread some infectious positivity through the ranks as he mounted his broom and took to the sky. He was in a semi-foreign land, against foreign people. The very least he could do was perform to his usual standard and what was to come, would come. He liked travelling abroad when he could, but this was the first time it had been with school. To commemorate the occasion he had only one thing on his mind; to see if he could live up to the standards of one of the most reputable schools of magic in the world. This wasn’t a display of magic, Quidditch was much more raw and remarkable; all that was left to do was to size up the mix of his team. Some looked rather effective, but looks were only one part of it.

Kissa walked onto the pitch and gave the Scottish arena an assessing look, although to most people observing it may have appeared more as a scowl. She made no attempt to look approachable, but conceded to give the opposing team a raised fist of respect as she passed them on the field.

The weather was truly awful, her usual school tunic proving too light to protect her from the bitter cold without an extra cape. It was supposed to be summer, yes? This far north of Uagadou, did they experience the seasons oppositely? Surely this was not as warm as it would get. She wondered idly if these other children's hearts were cold as well to match the chill of their island.

She arrived at her assembled team and though some were shivering, all looked happy to be there. Zophyr, her fellow beater, had already taken to the skies and was venting his obvious excitement by flying loops around the ring. She gave an approving nod and something that almost qualified as a small smile.

"Fly well," she bid the rest of her team good luck before mounting her broom, ready to kick off into the pale blue sky.

Both Ginyami and Tigist on blocking (Tigist startfish and stick). Akira is the only one quaffle grabbing. Alan, Ritsu and Agata are all on save duty. No post from Tigist so Akira scores 50 automatically.

And it begun! List of names in hand (they didn't know a fair amount of these players so it was the only way to keep all their names in their head), Pax could see how both teams were going about this pretty quickly. Ginyami had posted themselves by the rings, in case of any opponents attempting to score, but alas, none did. Akira was the lone wolf with quaffle grabs, grabbing them and scoring each time, racking up a neat 50 points for his team. The rest of the chasers had placed themselves on watch for any falling teammates- though to Pax's surprise there was little of that.

That didn't mean there weren't people who tried though. Zophyr tried to aim a bludger towards Miharu, but she was able to dodge out the way surprisingly fast. Sara and Botan had decided that teamwork was the key, hitting together towards Mkhaku, but he was also able to slip out of the bludger's warpath. In retaliation, at least Pax would guess, he tried to blatch Sara, who would also manage to evade. But his cheating wouldn't be missed.

The seekers were also busy at work, as they should be. It would seem the snitch would be just a little too elusive for Namusobiya, but Miharu may have just caught a glimpse. Shamsi, the one who had suggested this whole game, seemed to be a lot less involved for a chaser, but maybe he was doing his own thing. Pax chose to ignore it for now.

Roleplaying as Akira Shimizu from Mahoutokoro

He received a curt nod from Shamsi in response to his question, and Akira didn't press further. The pale boy pressed his lips together, taking the hint. Were his own nerves really getting to him? So much so, that he would doubt his teammate and take out his own foul mood on him? The slightest tinge of guilt pricked him, and he turned to Okazaki-san, who had responded at just the right time to divert his attention. The boy had a smile and positive mood that was so different from his own, but Akira found it oddly reassuring. "Good," he responded simply to Okazaki. "I thought so. Looking forward to flying with you," he added politely, but couldn't muster up a smile. Indeed, he was curious what the other players could achieve, and although he did not look forward to the game (or to flying), he was more interested in the players.

It was time to ascend. Akira clutched his broom a little too hard in his grasp, mentally preparing himself for the heights he would reach as the whistle blew. Then, he mustered up his courage and kicked off, stomach churning just a bit as the ground flew under him, rising...rising...rising.

Heck, he was about to throw up.

"Go devour the opponents, Akira!!!" he heard someone shout, and he instantly knew whose voice it was. Hiro-san. Newly invigorated by his friend's cheer, he took a deep breath and dove for the quaffle, almost fumbling once, but managing to easily grab it each round and score around their keeper. It was almost too easy. Although he didn't rejoice at his success, he felt a bit better about being up in the air. Akira lifted a hand, almost as if to wave back to Hiro, but then tucked it away, remembering at the last moment that he was supposed to be ignoring him. They couldn't be friends anymore.

Instead, he bit his lip and decided to plough forward with his tasks, leaning forward onto the broom shaft, almost knocking into Okazaki. "Sorry," he apologized hastily, swerving to an unconfident stop to look back at his fellow chaser to see if he was okay. This is exactly why he never flew, let alone play quidditch. He felt a tad bit of nausea seep up into his throat.

Upon receiving Hiro’s support, Sara found it calmer to move through the skies. He would always be eternally grateful for those friends who managed to see through his initial icy or intimidating appearance. Plus, this was Hiro they were talking about. During official quidditch games, it was him that was much more used to the position Sara currently found himself in. His support would not go unnoticed, but sadly he could not pay much attention to it as the games have started.

When the games started, it was like he had to hold his breath. Anticipation in the air, brooms whizzing past. It all made nervous goosebumps on his skin, and yet he gulped down the initial worry and decided he should end the game as quickly as he could. Hopefully, without anyone else getting a nasty injury, opponents included.

It would have been his first hit to a real stranger, and his mind went in panic mode. At the very least, it was a teamwork tactic involving a familiar mahoukotoro student, which made the whole thing about knocking someone out hoping to topple them off their brooms a liiitttle bit better? There was guilty look on Sara as he continued on this tactic, and almost let a sigh of relief when their target seemed pretty fine. He didn’t miss his own opportunity to dodge out of the way either. It was..quite close. He couldn’t help but marvel at the persons ( Avery Leveret @Mkhaku Khosa ) accuracy. For the small time they had, the person would receive the full attention of Sara. Who frankly looked pissed that he missed / he was targeted. Behind his glare, there was a shy boy struggling if this was the right time to compliment him or say sorry.

With bright skies and a light breeze, it was a perfect day for Quidditch. Perhaps it was the friendliness of the match or simply the humid air and changed scenery that had Obi distracted not to spot the streak of gold in the sky she was meant to find. Her flight patterns were steady as she zoomed through the air in seek of such a small object.

She’d always had a keen eye. Her mother had made many an inappropriate joke on the matter. She saw them more clearly. Her life went from living in the conqueror's lands to those that had been attempted to tame. Imperialism was a new enemy to engage, and here on the edges of what had once been Britain was as much an act of defiance as anything. The most accomplished conquerors now reduced to being recognized by lack of displayed emotion and mushy peas.

Namusobiya continued to keep her gaze on the stage before her. The flight of students from other schools. The spaces around and between them in seek for that singular glimmer. It was a thrill to meet others like her, from a faraway land with a taste for sky and wind. Players of all sorts of walks of life to interact with after the fact. For now she was focused on one thing alone. Until it struck her. There was a feeling in her gut that had her clutching her broom. Pain and discomfort ran through her. With one arm clutching her stomach, she flew back to the ground, rushing to the side to be sick. She hoped someone would take her place and allow her team to succeed.

The action seemed to kick in just as the whistle blew. She knew close to none of the students on the pitch, so she decided to see what the keeper was doing. The keeper on her team wasn't doing much, since the quaffle didn't come close to the hoops, so instead she looked over to the other side and almost missed the goal that was made by a Mahoutokoro chaser. She clapped, suddenly hoping that she wouldn't be needed to get into the sky. Not that she didn't like the game or her teammates, but Guinevere didn't want to make a fool of herself in front of all these international students.
Something also was seeming to be going on with the bludgers and beaters, so she squinted, trying to see what was going on. One of the Ugadou students had done a foul move, which the referee had caught. Guinevere could never. She continued watching as the others zipped around on their brooms.
Her team was fifty points ahead. There were no injuries currently, but as anything could happen on the day of a game, she continued spectating the game closely from the bench.

Maksim Slumped on the bench. Though he was not totally ignoring the game. He kept a keen eye on the opponents play, making notes for any weak spots he might notice. Or a tendency to repeat moves. Though being benched sucked! He knew better than to waste his time with such an opportunity this was, seeing for himself at such a view, to get an idea of how to take out the other team once he got into the game!

A strong sigh escaped his mouth as his teammate was spotted cheating... or as Maksim saw it, spicing up the game. "What a fool! How do you get caught doing something so simple?" The Russian thought to himself.

Within no time, the other team scored 50 points.... "Where's the keeper?" Maksim shouted out with great force, and a strong accent. He knew that he was the most gifted player on his team, but he didn't think they were this incompetent? What on earth were they doing? Picking flies out of the sky??

Picking up a stick, Maksim began to snap it in half, then placing the broken pieces together, did so again.... and again... until he wasn't able to break the branches anymore. But it felt good to do something, if only he could fly up their and teach that lot how a real game of quidditch is played.
