Excuse me Professor, I’m Alexa Hale, first year Ravenclaw. I wanted to ask if it is ok to RP in first person instead of an alias.
Secondly, if the word count is not specified, do the points per question indicate a higher word count or is 50 words common regardless of whether the question carries 4 points of 10 points?

For the first one, yes it is fine if you write the RP in first person, just remember not to mention any member's name or you house, or anything that can be traced back to you. For the second question, no the points do not indicate a higher word count requirement unless specified otherwise, but I might be wrong, so you should wait for someone else to respond too.

Could someone also let me know how to access extra information? At the end of the lesson it is said that we can find information in our textbooks and in the creature section of the library, but I don't know how to access it.

This applies for all lessons, but when I RP, if I use a pseudonym, am I able to say the characters house too, it just the made up name (like a random house)

Currently it's OK, just the same rules apply (such as anonimity). One day in the future (I don't think we have the date set) we won't be able to do so anymore, one of the reasons being to decrease the professors' workload.
