The Sun and the Moon
The afternoon was a pleasant one and Astoria had to get some fresh air. It had been a long time since Astoria had a moment to just step out of the castle and just taking in the natural world. Astoria was one individual that she needed to be outside. She was one that needed to feel the rays of the sun down on her, it was almost as if the day had energized her. While the Hufflepuff common room was a comfortable and cozy place to be, it wasn't the same as being outside with cobblestone walls out of the way.
Astoria was dressed in casual Hufflepuff attire and she carried her satchel with her in the event she wanted to sit along the lake and read or write. Astoria had made her way down the cobblestone path and was going towards the lake. She had heard rumors of a great creature residing in the lake but that could be anything relating to the mermaids or the great kraken.
She came to the shores of the lake and and the gentle wind brushed across her face and she could hear the calming rippled of the lake coming to the rocky shores. She picked up a flat stone and attempted to skip the rock across the water's surface. She placed her bag down on a large boulder and tried to get her technique. She could see creatures dancing in the distance, across the lake in the forest. It made her smile, to see so much life here at Hogwarts.

I sighed as the sun touched my pale skin. "I really don't like you sun....." I cackled at myself as I pulled my cloke over my head for cover I believe it would help me fare better out here. I might just come back later tonight. The lake is so nice but not like this burning the insides of my dark brown eyes. I did not get out so much as everyone else but I did like to come by all night and watch the sky and sunrise heading back to my safe room in the morning. I come out here at sun fall to see the way the sky turns color.
I sighed at my thoughts and asked myself why I was here again. Oh right I had to jeep away from people. They don't like me and keep distance....so why not leave? I came by the lake to just sit here and think about things. Plus it's quiet calming here. I looked over to see a hufflepuff girl in normal clothing.I wonder what she must have been doing out here at this time anyway.
She seemed happy with the smile of one thousand people. I quietly observed her and what she had. SHe had a rock and I think she was working on her throwing technique? I couldn't really see from where I was sitting all I knew what they there was a hufflepuff girl with the biggest smile in the world.
I did wanna make conversation but I was scared. I walked out from mt little shadowed place and smiled at her.
"H-hello there my name is Onyx. Onyx Moon. I spotted you from my little spot uhm over there. NOT THAT I WAS WATCHING YOU..... uhm I just noticed you and thought I-I could come and say Hi or just uhm sit and talk with you I-i don't know. I sighed at my overly awkward self who was in a black cloak with its hoodie up. I knew I seemed suspicious as hell.

Astoria shook her arm, trying to get herself to relax a little bit more. Her hair kept falling down in her face so she decided to take out her black ribbon and tie her hair up so it would stay out of her eyes. She looked for the next rock, "Okay, just a flick of the wrist," she said aloud and the rock skimmed over the surface of the water, going further than any other stone she had thrown. Astoria's father had taught her to skip rocks when she was a lot younger but she hadn't done it for so long.
Little did she know that a hooded individual was gazing at her from a distance, but with her back turned, she didn't pay attention at all. It wasn't until a voice came from the direction. It didn't really alarm her, but she didn't expect the figure to be in a black robe especially on a beautiful and bright day like today! Out of all the places that Hogwarts and the grounds had, the two would meet like this, but it didn't bother Astoria at all one bit.
"Hello, Onyx, it's a pleasure to meet you!" Astoria said in a calm, soothing voice. She was known well throughout Hogwarts for being a gentle individual. It was how her parents had raised her to be. "I am Astoria Middleton." she introduced herself back.
The girl seemed timid and shy but what was there to be shy about? It was just the two of them. She had asked if she could sit and visit with her, which didn't bother Astoria at all. Coming from a family as an only child, she enjoyed company greatly. "Sure you may, I've been just wanting to get some fresh air." Astoria picked up another rock but she couldn't help but asking, "If you don't mind me asking, and it's not my business, but why do you have your cloak on and hood up? It's a beautiful day!" she breathed in a deep breath, taking in the fresh air of nature.

I smiled lightly and sat down next to the girl once she replied. She then asked "If you don't mind me asking, and it's not my business, but why do you have your cloak on and hood up? It's a beautiful day!" I sighed and looked at her calmly.
"The sun is not my friend....It's not like I am allergic to the sun or anything but it hurts my eyes just from the littlest rays. Even then it affects my skin differently because it is so pale. Anyway the moon is something I look forward to because it's not bright and hot nor dose it hurt my eyes as soon as I take my cloak off. Anyway I came out here for the air too. Do you ever come out here for the sunset or sunrise? I like coming out here when the sun sets and staying out till the sun rises....dusk till dawn if you will. It is surprising how I still find time to sleep......"
I stopped myself from rambling on and looked at the girl in front of me.
"Heh sorry...I have a tendency to overtalk but uhm do you have any hobbies or do you uhm just come out her for fun or uhm you know heh."
I felt kind of bad for just talking so very much. As I awaited for a reply I though about observing her more since I was so close to her. Astoria I believe that was her name, is very gorgeous and thoughtful. But up close Her hair is better seen and so is her eyes. Her brown curly hair and nice white smile was very calming and appealing to look at. Besides that she had very nice clean skin. Her face in general.
"My god you are quiet gorgeous!!"
I smiled at her and let things sink in.

Throwing her last stone, Astoria turned to see Onyx as she explained. The girl had explained that sun was truly not a friend indeed. To be honest, now that she explained it, it turns out that it all made sense. However, it wasn't Astoria's place to question. She was asked if she enjoyed the sunrise or sunset. "Well, I'm not much of a morning person. I do enjoy sunsets! The idea of the sun setting and the stars coming out to grace those on earth."
Astoria enjoyed the stars greatly, she loved going out in the courtyard and gazing at the stars over the lake. Of course, the students of Hogwarts could only bet let out after curfew on certain times. But she also had a nice view from her common room. "Do you enjoy stargazing? Looking at constellations and such?" Astoria asked curious.
Bending down to get another stone, Astoria tossed it lightly in the air. Onyx had mentioned that she tended to talk too much, but Astoria didn't mind one bit. "[color]Oh you're not going on too much at all! You seem very nice and open to talk to![/color]" Astoria complimented her, genuinely. She had been asked Astoria about her hobbies, "Well, I enjoy music, playing instruments and dancing and singing. I like stargazing, going to museums, planting roses, and I also enjoy walking through nature. What do you enjoy doing?"
Astoria turned, to toss one more stone, kindly waiting for Onyx to respond. I smiled and listened to her respond to me once I blurted how pretty she was she dropped her rock and looked at me
"I'm sorry?" she said looking confused. I blushed thinking she might have took it the wring way who knows.
"W-what? I meant like you're really really pretty...not to be weird or not to scare you i just thought you were prettier or uhm nicer looking then me."
I sighed looking away from her my explanation wasn't to good and I started to get nervous though I did think she was much prettier then me. I felt kind of mad at myself for the miss understanding but i guess it's there
"I-I promise i didn't mean it to uhm sexualise you or anything just to tell you you are good looking heh."
I did embarrass myself at this point thinking of irrelevant things about how she most likely doesn't like me anymore because of this.
"I-i'm sorry if you want me to leave I can go....If you wish. I feel bad for the misunderstanding." I looked down and just waited for an answer. I know my head is repeating things over and over.
I pulled my hoodie down more and sat there still thinking and my blushing puzzled face hidden.
