Why'd It Have to End On a Cliffhanger? PV Onyx Moon Closed

─────Seven felt pretty good about themself, though they didn't want to punch the Slytherin. That would just be mean. But they were already being mean. The realization washed over them as they saw a tear trickle out from the girl's eye. Being a bully wasn't just a physical thing. Insults were also a part of bullying. Seven couldn't believe they had become such an awful person so quickly. And just because they had nearly been late for a single class. There was a bit more to it than that, but still.

The Slytherin stepped forward until she was closer to Seven. She stuttered a bit before yelling again at the students who were watching the drama.

All Seven could do was wonder. How had they become a bully? In just one day, they had come from a quiet, shy person to a mean, horrible one. They had really messed up. They had made someone cry. It didn't matter that she was a Slytherin. It didn't matter that she had bumped into Seven. No one deserved to cry in front of their entire school.

"Do you need a moment?"

It was an awkward thing to say and it occurred to Seven how easy it would be to continue yelling at the girl.

My laugh stopped so abruptly I think the teachers looked at me."What" I didn't understand as that pain came back that knowing. I walked up to her until there was at least an inch of space between us. I was gonna threaten her but instead hugged her.

I looked at her puzzled face and my tear drawn face. "Look can't we both just be sorry..... We both messed up..." I sighed and continued to hug her. Surprisingly the students did not seem too mad but more confused and happy. I sighed and pulled back letting myself leave and go to the astronomy tower I left my wand but I don't care I wont cry there.

I sat down in my pot and looked out the window I really hate felling like this but I deserve it. I guess though I don't feel like I did anything I did. I need to go get my wand soon but for right now I am gonna stay here.I dont think they mind if I miss my next class...Potions is right after hat said missed class so I think I will be fine.

But, Right now I just cry. I wiped my face and tried not to think about it but it's hard not to think about the fact no one soul likes you Or how people only want you to talk to you to make fun of you. You know what it's ok.... I be here.

─────She hugged Seven. That had been very unexpected. Then she left.

Seven didn't know where the girl was headed, and they were debating whether to follow her or not. Then they saw a wand. It didn't seem to belong to anyone. It was just sitting there. But Seven knew who was the owner. The Slytherin girl.

With a heavy sigh, they carefully picked up the wand and examined it. The wood was some sort of reed, which Seven hadn't seen before.

There was no time to lose. They glared at everyone in the Great Hall and walked out through the large double doors. They had done a great job of getting themself embarrassed and now they were... Well, what were they doing? All they could think of was their mistakes and how maybe they could fix them by talking to the Slytherin. The first step would be apologizing, but what if the girl had decided to hate Seven forever? Even though she had just hugged them.

But Seven had actually made someone cry. And those had not been tears of happiness. Seven was just as bad as everyone who had made fun of them. It had been so simple. Say a few mean things and you feel powerful.

─────The Slytherin had walked all the way up to the astronomy tower and Seven followed. Perhaps they could've called out to her, but they wanted to talk. They needed to apologize.

After reaching the top of the tower, Seven stood there, unsure. They knew what to do, but they didn't know how to approach the girl. Several minutes passed and they could see that she had curled up on a windowsill. She was talking to herself, but Seven couldn't make out the words.

They stepped forward. "Um, hi."

While trying to think of something to say, Seven had felt a sort of peace. It was nice in the astronomy tower. No one to disturb their thoughts. They wondered if the girl came often. But as Seven made themself shown, they felt really awkward. That was the only way to describe it. Awkward and nervous.

Seven's hands were trembling and they tried to take deep breaths to calm down. Why was it so hard to talk to a Slytherin girl? Maybe because she wasn't just a Slytherin girl. She had been bullied by Seven and was probably scarred for life. Yeah, that was a bit dramatic, but it was hard to think of anything else.

"Hmm?" I said turning around to look at her. "Why are you here?" I looked at her hand to see my wand and a sorry look. I quickly rubbed my tear filled face. I knew she felt bad but I did not know what to say or do. L-look I am sorry ok..... I didn't run into anyone and you didn't either at this point it doesn't matter I just don't wanna someone else hatting me and insulting me when I could have a friends...You know? I sighed and looked back to my window I don't know what else to do but for right now I wasn't gonna cry.

I looked back down at her and took this time to see her or observe her in a sense. She seemed pretty awkward and a bit on the nervous side. I must have brought out thats side of her I didn't mean to but a challenge is a challenge....Right? No I can't think Like that because this is what got me here in the first place thinking like I am the queen of everything. Maybe she doesn't hate me I mean she is holding my wand to return it....... Right? I smiled at her though I felt another tear fall and hopped down.

This time I gave her the biggest hug in the world not letting go to run away. I think she deserves this.

─────So, the Slytherin was a hugger. Seven had recieved two hugs from her so far.

"I shouldn't have said all that stuff. I was mad at myself and I guess it was kind of clouding my thinking or something and..." their voice trailed off. "I'm sorry. I'm really sorry."

They stepped forward and held out the girl's wand, not only because it belonged to her, but as an offering of peace as well. They were nervous. Of course she would take her wand. It was important and the Slytherin couldn't afford to not have it. But what if she just wanted Seven to leave as quickly as possible? She had seemed forgiving enough, but she could change her mind.

"Can we start over?" Seven asked. "Just forget about what happened in the Great Hall and everything?"

What if the girl never wanted to see them again? What if she was just trying to be nice, but really hated them? Had Seven made a mistake by following the Slytherin into the astronomy tower? Would it have been better to simply place the wand on a surface that she would see and then leave?

Seven sighed as all the thoughts and questions began to overwhelm them.

"Thank you...Uhm do you mind staying?"

I looked at her waiting for some kind of cold remark. I shuttered and did not make eye contact. I felt weird or more per say like A Ghost.

I sighed and looked down even further. I felt blush covering my face...but why....?

"I would rather not be alone. I know I just ran but I don't want to be here by myself right now. I think you are the perfect person to be with. You seem nice and cunning despite that little incident that happened and frankly I like you."

I tried to smile but couldn't force myself to. I felt kind of bad but I think I pulled of a smirk or at least something. I turned back to her once my cheeks were a regular color.

"I understand if you decline my invitation I mean there are only 10 more minutes till we have class and you most likely won't wanna do that. I do understand if you just came her to give me back my want to. I mean it's not like I know what is going through your mind but I hope it's not that you hate me."

I started to trail off on my words I did not wanna be alone nor did I want to seem off or bad. With a swift moment I jumped back on the window and waited for a response.

"You know if you do join me you will see all the joys of being her the beautiful colors of the sky and the tree's contrasting with everything. It's quite beautiful."

I smiled finally looking at the girl once more before waiting again for the reply.

─────Did Seven mind staying? Of course they wanted to stay. They were simply worried about making everything worse. On the other hand, however, sitting down next to the girl and talking with her would greatly improve the rocky start of their relationship. Perhaps the two of them could grow to become friends.

It was that thought that made Seven sit down by the girl. They looked out the window and saw the sky. It was an incredible shade of blue, bright, yet warm. A few clouds were scattered around but for the most part, the sky was clear. Except for the trees that reached up in an attempt to meet it. They started out as plain brown trunks, but soon the bushy green leaves overcame the rest of the tree. It was a wonderful sight.

"I don't hate you," Seven said at last. "I made a mistake and I regret it."

They were going to add the word 'deeply' to the end of their sentence but decided against it. Their words might sound neutral and they didn't want that.

"Um, my name's Seven," they offered. "What's yours?"

Had that been too straightforward? Should they have allowed the girl to lead the conversation?
