It was summer and Aryann had organized an unofficial quidditch match between several Mahoutokoro students and several Ugadou students with kids from other schools to fill in a few positions. So, naturally, Ginyami had volunteered to join in and play as a Keeper. He still needed all the practice he could get in before trying out for his school's team.

As far as the teenager knew, only one student on his team wasn't from Mahoutokoro which meant they were almost all Japanese. Which meant to Ginyami that they were almost sure to win this game. He had a great deal of faith in his schoolmates and his own skills, however rusty they were. He had been training more and more as of late, so he was feeling better about said skills since the Airball game his team had just barely won. This game was certain to turn out better. It had to.

Entering the training pitch, Ginyami carried his firebolt over his shoulder and glanced around before spotting the Hogwarts student who was going to referee their match. He raised a hand toward them and smiled in greeting, grateful for their willingness to help out for the event. Pax Zhang their name was if he wasn't mistaken.

Pax sounded their whistle once most of the players had entered the pitch, flying lower in order to be heard as they addressed everyone. They began by thanking them for coming and playing despite the short notice. "Thank you for overseeing the match," Ginyami responded, dipping his head in a small bow. Pax then proceeded to explain it would be a standard game of quidditch, so as soon as everyone was ready, they could take to the skies and start the game. Grinning and eager, Ginyami mounted his broom and lifted off the ground, ready and willing to play.

- In the role of Keeper, if the Keeper effectively blocks an attempt to score rather than obtain possession of the quaffle they can kick the quaffle at the user who attempted to score. This must be declared at the time actions are submitted. This would have damage like a bludger using an accuracy roll to hit and the user's strength score to determine the amount of damage done. If the quaffle hits or misses the target, a quafflegrab the next round would be necessary to determine which team has possession of the quaffle again.
- In the role of Keeper when you attempt to block your goal, if your opponent somehow has advantage on attempting to score a goal, that is negated (they only have their normal single roll against you).

Akihiko loved to fly, so when he heard about a certain unofficial match happening between Mahoutokoro and Ugadou he was quick to jump on board. There was already someone playing seeker (his preferred role), so he volunteered to be benched.

Akihiko didn’t know exactly who was playing, but he knew his team was completely Mahoutokoro with one exception. The other team, he knew, had a mix of students from all around, but was dominated by Ugadou students. Truthfully, he had never interacted with any of their students, but then again he hadn’t interacted with most other schools.

Akihiko was confident that his team would dominate the match. After all, he knew most everyone on the team, so they would work better together. With a swagger matching his attitude, he walked onto the field with a large grin spreading on his face. On his shoulder rested a Nimbus 1700, which he was rather proud of. Over the summer he had convinced his parents to get it for him (a process involving much research, statistics and data). He was proud of it, and while he knew it wasn’t the best, he knew it was pretty great.

A whistle blew, piercing his ears. He looked around, startled and confused, for the source of the sound. Then he saw it, way up in the air, the outline of the referee lowing themself to the ground.

Akihiko didn’t know the ref’s name, but for some reason the ref was thanking them for coming to the match. Akihiko was about to say something when Ginyami thanked them. "ありがとう !¹" He called out excitedly, then realized what he had said. "I meant to say 'thank you'." He laughed softly. How long would it take him to speak in the correct language the first time? He didn’t know, but it still made him laugh whenever he messed up.

When it was time, he made his way to the sidelines where he would wait for the time for him to play.

Nimbus 1700

Description: Fast and tough racing broom.
Stats: +2 accuracy, +1 evasion, +1 wisdom, +1 strength
Speed: Top Speed is 6, however when you reach a speed of 6 this increases to a 10% chance that you will auto miss (with anything requiring an accuracy roll) and you will be auto-hit (with anything requiring a dodge roll).

It had been over a year since Namusobiya had set foot on the European continent. Though she was elated to be with her brother and her teammates, a part of her hurt just being so close to her matriarch. As much as she wanted to dwell on it, there was much to experience as part of this summer camp opportunity, and she planned to make the most of it.

When students from another school from an even further land wanted to play a friendly match of Quidditch with them, she was more than happy to get on a broom and leave her worldly problems way down below. When Namusobiya Khosa-Chaumet was on her broom, keenly gleaming for the snitch, the entire world could burn to the ground, and she would maintain her focus at least on the pitch.

In the field that hosted local games of Quidditch between four houses, Namusobiya looked around. She missed the silver-white of her school and the heat of her new country, but this would do. It was early, and those morning rays were bright and yet completely different from her last year. The heat was more humid and stuck to her skin. With her Tinderblast in hand she approached the pitch and got into position. She glanced at her brother and a few of her teammates, beaming with excitement.

A boy from the host school awaited them and said:

"Hey guys! Thanks for coming and playing today, despite the short notice. It's just a standard game of quidditch, so as soon as you guys are ready, we can take to the skies and start the game."

With a nod, she mounted her broom and took to the sky with familiar exhilaration. There was nothing quite like feeling the wind against her face and the adrenaline spike of watching the world fall away beneath her feet.

Tinderblast Description: Racing broom made by Ellerby and Spudmore in 1940 ; very resistant but rather slow. Prerequisite: 2nd year or later. In the role of Seeker, if an opponent attempts to Bludger or Blatch you, there is a 20% chance that you veer out of the way the last second and another enemy player at RANDOM is targeted instead. Note: The new target still gets their normal dodge attempt. This is not considered to be an auto-dodge, in fact this roll is done before any accuracy rolls are done.

He was an ㅤㅤㅤඞ imposter. Or at least, that was one thought that ran through his head that he tried to squash down. Perhaps 1st time jitters? It wasn’t his first time playing ever. He was merely fortunate enough to only participate his beater role during casual practices. Usually he’d be safely benched, considering he’s not the 1st string beaters. But today would be different. Today, he would actually be playing a fair game against another group of student. Not benched, but actually participating. All morning, his closer friends ( Aryaan, Hiro, and Ginyami sorry Akira you’re scary so you didn’t make the cut : ( ) would receive occasional glances from the boy. Cold stares really. But most of his stares were like that in general. But his friends should have understood by now that this was his way of easing his growing nerves. What better way to relieve stress than to see your friends?

Talking to them, maybe. But no. His mind was already doing so much just trying to convince himself that he could do this game. It had little room to help him form coherent sentences too.

When the moderator thanked tem for coming and briefed them on the game, he somewhat recognised them as the same moderator that planned the tritalon event last summer. Did memory serve him right? It wasn't the most reliable source, so he said nothing on it. Only mimicking Ginyami as he thanked them for overseeing the match. Of course, he could not do it as gracefully as his friend did, so the moderator would received another curt bow and an even more hastier “ Thank you “ before he followed the rest of his teammates to the skies.

There were a lot more students on his team that he was not quite close to. (referring to Botan, Ritsu, Miharu ). He had half the mind to maybe offer them a smile. Sadly it had been a while since he had practised such a thing. If anyone were to strike up a last second interaction with him before the game began, they would receive his full attention.

Maksim trudged his way to where the game was being held. He, of course, was never one to turn down any sort of competition. His father had forced him to this ridiculous summer camp.... something to do with 'making friends' or whatever. He tossed his hair in the breeze, as he held his swift stick to his side.

It was stupid that once he joined the team he was the first to be benched.... "oh well" the boy thought to himself, "let them squirm without me... they will learn soon enough."

He stood by as he watched others arrive. He put on his pleasant face, never not one to let others know how board he truly was. Then waited for everything to begin.

The person that took centre, probs the one who was moderating this whole event, began to speak. Maksim looked around at those that were playing, couldn't help but scoff a little. "As if any of these are skilled quidditch players." The boy thought to himself. Within no time the game would begin. If his team called any sort of meeting to give one last 'word of encouragement' Maksim was there, but not listening. Just get the game going, was the only thought in his head.

He took to his bench ready for his team to fail, and need him.

It was a bright and sunny afternoon at Hogwarts, and Guinevere had heard that some foreign students had hosted a Quidditch game. She had signed up, of course, since she really had nothing to do and what was the worst that could happen?
She had been put on the team with mostly all Mahoutokoro students, which made her feel slight outsiderish. She, of course, wasn't a pro at Quidditch, thus she volunteered to play as Keeper, where she just had to stop the quaffle from going into the hoops, though she learnt that someone had signed up for Keeper before her and she had to be benched first. Despite her probable incompetence and inexperience, she would try her best not to drag down her team.
Nonetheless, Guinevere walked into the training pitch with her Nimbus 1700, which was actually a racing broom... she hoped that wouldn't matter too much.
As everyone else offered words of thanks to their moderator, she nodded along, then sat back down to watch the game begin.
