The Crowded Corridor PV Raizel Voltrouz

As much as possible, Raizel didn't want to walk through these 'cursed' corridors, afraid of stumbling into another problematic situation with a fellow student and ended up getting involved in a fight. Sure, the one with a certain Lucian Mornstern was something that she walked in willingly but the one with another Slytherin, who she just helped a bit but ended up getting on her wrong side for some reason… that was something she wasn't expecting.

What troubles will she face today? Hopefully, no arguments this time. That's not a good way to start your second year in Hogwarts. Well, the universe seems to have a plan.

A class has just ended. The Second Year Gryffindor is walking down the corridors, walking closer to the walls to avoid any students, not wanting to give them an excuse to start something when you accidentally bump into someone. Oh, it happens. An accidental bump, leading to insults and then to full on fight. That's how intense other students are especially when you encounter them in a bad mood. To make things worse, you're in a bad mood as well, leading into a non-stop argument until one of you decides to back down or, in worse case scenario, shoot spells at each other.

Raizel shudders at that thought. She's not one to back out from a fight. Sure, she hates conflict but when she had enough, oh boy, she's not gonna back down from a fight, awakening her reckless side and that is something that she doesn't want to happen a lot of times. Having enemies will just ruin the peaceful school life that she wanted. Problematic relatives are enough for her to deal with.

She was lost in thought that she didn't notice the presence of someone until they bumped into her. The Gryffindor stumbled back but remained standing. "Oof." She was about to apologize but the person that she bumped into beat her to it. Her gaze fell on the Hufflepuff boy. She's sure he's a Hufflepuff considering that he's wearing his House's color with pride but then again, he might just love dressing up as a bumblebee which she doesn't mind of course. "Oh, it's alright. You okay there?" Raizel told him. Oh great, she bumped into someone… she's just hoping whoever this guy is isn't someone who's gonna explode on her for her 'stupidity' as one might say when you bump into them.

Axyen quickly got up as he noticed students in the hall briefly look at him while he was was on the floor. They either laughed about it with their friends, ignored Axyen, or simply just didn't notice him. One thing was for certain, none of them stopped once to help him up, which was fine by him, but he did notice a girl from the house of Gryffindor ask if Axyen was okay.

"Yeah-" Axyen said briefly pausing to properly get up. "S-sorry about that s..should've been paying attention... especially in this corridor..." Axyen said, as briefly stepped to the side for a moment as a student in Ravenclaw robes nearly bumped into him after stumbling forwards, but catching himself quickly as the corridors had more students in trying to get to places, it seemed to start to clear up a little bit, but it was hard to tell because of how many students were there in the first place. Axyen realized he was still in the way of the Gryffindor girl's way. "Oh- sorry, I should probably get out of the way." Axyen said, stepping sideways as more students continued to walk by. Finally, the corridors weren't a mixture of red, blue, yellow and green. The corridors cleared up, Axyen couldn't properly predict how long it'd take until the next class would begin, but Axyen imagined it to be sometime soon.

Words that she wasn't expecting, someone actually admitting that they weren't paying attention which is probably something that only happens once in a blue moon. Most of the time, you'll get responses like 'hey, watch where you're going.' even though it was them who weren't paying attention. "Oh, no, it's fine really. I wasn't paying that much attention as well." She admitted. The boy seems a lot… kinder than most people that she had encountered. "I apologize for that as well." The Gryffindor moved out of the way for the others that were passing.

"And I should as well stay out of your way since… you're probably on the way to somewhere else?" She asked him before taking a closer look at him now that the corridors are less busy than when there were a lot of people passing by. "Next class perhaps? Ah, you're not running late are you?" She sounded worried when she asked the next question. Well, if he's running late for his next class then that means… she is as well. Brilliant. Then again, they should have a short time before it begins so the both of them could still make it hopefully.

This boy isn't new, she probably had seen him before, passed by at some point in the same corridor that they are standing on so no, he's not a first year maybe? As for the name… it'd be a miracle if she remembers the names of people that she rarely interacts with, those that she had talked to twice or thrice.

Axyen listened as the girl also said that she wasn't paying attention, usually most people wouldn't really care and just move on. This was also unexpected for Axyen, but he simply said "It's fine.." He listened as the girl also apologized and Axyen simply nodded in response. Axyen knew the situation wasn't ideal at all, well, when was any situation ideal in this corridor? It was always crowded for the most part and people were usually the rudest here as typically you'll never meet them again, and they think they can get away with it, and for the most part, that's true.

Axyen listened as the Gryffindor asked Axyen if he was heading to anywhere and if he was running late at all. "W-well... We have a short ten(10) minutes before the next class begins, if I remember correctly..." Axyen said, trying to recall the schedule, and suddenly, he couldn't remember, but considering how nobody else seemed to be going to the classes, at least to his knowledge. Axyen doubted it. Axyen could've swore he saw the Gryffindor somewhere his previous year at Hogwarts, but he wasn't sure.

Axyen had been more expectant of an owl recently, it wasn't that long ago that he signed up for the dueling team, ever since that day, he has been looking up in the sky a lot more, in hopes of seeing a dueling acceptance letter, but Axyen was also nervous about rejection, so Axyen just hoped for the best.

"10 minutes huh…" Raizel uttered while looking down, tapping her hand on the side of her thigh. That should be enough time for her to run through the corridors to get in time for hers. Then again, that is assuming she doesn't get lost. While some people had already memorized where a certain room is within this huge castle, Raizel is still having a hard time getting to where she should be and ends up somewhere else instead. It's surprising that she still gets to class on time so far whenever she's on her own and not following people from her year and house.

"Should be enough to get to the next one but we shouldn't be chattering here for too long. Time does fly quicker than you think." She told him with a smile on her face. Time does fly indeed. They are now second years and it's like it was only yesterday they were first years. Getting their wands, their first ride on the Hogwarts Express, getting sorted and many more. Fun experiences.

Now then, classes… what class was she going to again? For some reason, it just slipped off of her mind but oh well, she'll remember if she starts to get going once more. "We should probably get going. Uhmm, may I ask what your name is?" Raizel asked the Hufflepuff boy in front of her. It's not like her to ask for someone's name knowing her shyness at times but it's best to get some introduction going before they forget. "Mine's Raizel." She grinned, being friendly as always.

Axyen looked at Raizel as she seemed to be thinking for a moment. Axyen remembered he needed to go to the Potions classroom next, one of his favorite classes now that he knew the potential for potions. Axyen just needed to try and not to get lost... again, he hated the dungeons due to how dark and dim they can be and also still managed to get lost in the dungeons anyways, so Axyen preferred not going down there, well maybe he did - only for Potions class, as who can possibly miss an opportunity to learn about a potion that could cause slight misfortune, so long it was harmless.

Axyen listened as the Gryffindor suggested that there shouldn't stand around and chat, as time does fly past, she said all of this with a smile. Axyen could agree though, "time does fly pretty fast." Axyen said, nodding in agreement with the Gryffindor. "You have potions next, right?" Axyen asked, as he did happen to have Potions next class. Axyen wondered if the first day of classes were going to go smoothly for the first day, well there was only one way to find out, which was just to attend the classes.

Axyen noticed as the Gryffindor proceeded to mention that they should get going, but also asking for Axyen's name, then, the girl revealed her name, which was Raizel, Raizel grinned as she introduced herself. "My name is Axyen... Axyen Dragonclaw." Axyen said, smiling back as a friendly gesture in response to Raizel's friendly gesture.

"Potions? Oh, right." Raizel snapped her finger as she was just reminded what the next class was again. That means, going down to the dungeons. To be honest, the dungeons are intriguing for this adventure loving Gryffindor. While you could get lost with how big and dark the dungeons are, you can't deny the fact that it could hold a lot of secrets. Just make sure that you find your way back to the surface world in the end though. Don't want stumbling into a secret passage, if there's any, and not being able to find your way back.

Would people even look for someone if they do got lost in the dungeons though? She'd like to think that they do keep an eye out on possible students getting lost down there. Might not be that frequent but it could happen.

"Potions are fun." She told Axyen before she started moving but then she paused. Where was the way to the dungeons again? That made her look around, checking the corridors and then back to the Hufflepuff. "You do know the way right? I tend to get lost." Raizel told him with a sheepish grin on her face. She was a bit embarassed at that but oh well. Could use a map really, an enchanted one that is, one that can show you exactly where you are at the moment. That'd be a lifesaver for those that are… directionally challenged when it comes to Hogwarts Castle.

Axyen looked as Raizel snapped her fingers, seeming to remember about the Potions class that they both would be attending to in just a few minutes. Axyen dreaded the moment of going into the dungeons, but Axyen had to simply deal with it for all of his years at Hogwarts, and Axyen did not want to skip classes at all, not just because he'll get in trouble, but he also enjoys attending them.

Axyen looked down at the floor, thinking for a moment. What would today's lesson possibly bring? What fun potion would they be brewing, Axyen supposed it could be a small walk and talk conversation. "What do you think professor Regan will be teaching us?" Axyen asked, failing to think of a potion that professor Regan could possibly teach. Maybe I should study the curriculum... Axyen thought to himself.

Axyen nodded in agreement with Raizel as she said that potions were fun, which to Axyen, that was true. Who couldn't love potions? Well only people who couldn't brew potions would hate them, but potions was an interesting subject to Axyen. Axyen noticed Raizel moving and followed her before she stopped and asked if Axyen knew the way. Well shoot. Axyen thought to himself. "No.... sorry, I don't..." Axyen said, thinking a little bit while subconsciously scratching his hair.

"Well the dungeons are obviously the lower floors, so we should probably look for stairs that goes downwards..." Axyen suggested, looking around slightly for potential staircases that led downwards.

"Oh, that's a bummer but that's alright! We just gotta keep going and we'll get there." Raizel said to Axyen, after listening to him say something about not knowing the way to the dungeons but of course, she wouldn't blame him. Even though they are second years, it's not easy to take in every location in this big castle. "Stairs, right, of course. Well, I'm sure we'll get there in time. Hopefully we don't find ourselves ending up somewhere else though. I don't know if that happens to you but it does happen to me sometimes." Funny how she always ended up in the Entrance Hall instead of her destination at times. It was an embarrassing yet funny experience for her.

Raizel did the same as the Hufflepuff boy, looking around for any staircase that could lead down to the lower level where the dungeon is and maybe, some of their classmates too so they could safely follow them to their next class. "I don't have any idea on what we're doing for class but I am sure it'll just be as interesting as the previous years." Potions isn't exactly her favorite class. No, it's Charms and DADA coming in close but the subject is there in her top priorities.

Not to mention, potions are handy to have in hand. She had brewed a couple of potions for personal use and had been keeping them close just in case a situation arises when the potions would come in handy. In Hogwarts, you should always expect for things to go wrong or that's what they say, especially in events like the balls. If you can't use your wand to save yourself from a sticky situation, potions will be there to aid you unless you had forgotten to bring them with you.

"What do you think we're doing today?" Raizel turned her head to look at Axyen. "Would be nice if it's a potion that you could use to protect yourself or even cause distraction."
