June 19, 2023 (1:28 am)Kanae chuckled, "That'll be pretty funny! Mark is his name? It sounds nice." She says. A few moments later, Osaki gave her the lyrics. He said that he and Mark wrote it. 'These lyrics are beautiful! Pretty meaningful too. These two are good!' she thought. After she read all of the lyrics, she remembered that Osaki didn't teach her the melody yet.
"Osaki-kun, can you teach me the melody now?" She asked the boy. Kanae was now even more curious on the the melody would sound like. The girl was mediocre at best in making melodies but very good at making tunes. She tries to get better at making melodies but it gets overwhelming for her to some up with melodies.
Kanae now just sadly remembered that Ara had summer camp at Hogwarts and she can't go to Japan this summer. Her face turned into a frown and she plans to send an owl to her family to let her visit her cousin. Her house didn't have a floo system and they had no quick access to it and brooms weren't an option. So she'll have to fly a plane. She has seen planes before in the city but never rode one. Kanae hopes that her parents will allow her to go to England to see her cousins she haven't met since Christmas! She has a clode relationship with them and also wonders if her siblings will join her too.RP Word Count: 240/200

"It definitely will. Maybe during summer we could all meet up? Depends on what you'll be doing tho." Yuta says.
He didn't mind if Kanae didn't want to meet him during the summer, he just decided to suggest it. But, he wondered what Mark would be doing during the summer holidays. Yuta hopes that Mark will be able to go to Osaka to celebrate his 12th birthday with him. Mark was in London for his 11th birthday, so he wasn't able to celebrate it with him in person, but he did send him and owl.
"Sure. I'll hum it for you." Yuta says.
He took the paper back and began humming the lyrics of the song which he and Mark had written. He knew that it'd be a better melody if he did sing it, but he didn't want to, since he felt more like humming it then singing it. After he was done humming, he looked at Kanae and asked,
"So, what d'you think about the melody?"
Yuta was curious with how Kanae would respond, but he didn't show it at all. In fact, he doesn't always shows his emotions, so unlike Mark, it's harder for people to read him, if they can even read people, that is.
"You know sometimes in life, things just ain't meant to be."

June 20, 2023 (1:44 am)"She has summer camp at Hogwarts. Its optional but she wants to join. Will Mark do the summer camp too?" Kanae asked. "I'm free all summer! I think-" she doesn't know if there were any events she needed to attend to or anything. The girl was also not sure if she was going to travel or not. Kanae wants to go to England. She hasn't gone there yet because its usually Ara and her family who go to Japan.
Osakai hummed the tune. 'It sounds nice! The melody suits the lyrics well' she thought. She quickly tried to memorize the melody quickly. She began singing and playing the cello, singing and playing up till the chorus part. "So? Is it right?" She says right after she finished playing. Kanae was waiting for the boy's response. If he said its right, they can play the duet. If he said no, she would ask what was wrong and be internally embarrassed.
'I hope I got it right! It would be so embarrassing if I didn't! I don't want to disappoint Osaki-kun or myself' she thought worriedly.
As Kanae was waiting for his response, she wondered on how she can convince her parents to go to England.RP Word Count: 204/200

"Don't worry. You played it perfectly, both on the cello and with your voice. We'll make an amazing duet off of this song, I know it!" Yuta says happily.

June 21, 2023 (8:40 am)"That would be nice Osaki-kun!" Kanae said with a smile. "You can start playing if you want to!" After she played the cello, Osaki complimented it. "Oh thank god! I was worried if I got it wrong haha! Yep! I'm sure we'll make a fantastic duo" Kanae says with basically stars in her eyes. She was excited to have a musical partner. None of her friends really liked music nor did they know how to play an instrument.
Kanae waits patiently for the boy to play. She had her cello and its bow ready and at hand. "Osaki-kun, I have a question. When did you start getting into music? For me its when I was about 5 and I had ukelele lessons for the first time. It was a bit forced at first but I grew to like it even more!" She questions and explains. Kanae learned ukulele first, then guitar, violin, piano, and cello. She knew how to play all of those nicely but she has only mastered the cello and ukelele for now. She had trouble with the violin at first and that kind of delayed her from learning more.

Yuta got his guitar ready for when he'll be playing it with Kanae for the duet. Before he could start playing, Kanae asked him a question. He thought about it for a bit before answering the question by saying,
"When I was three, my mother taught me how to play the piano, then the guitar, and a few other instruments. She also taught me how to sing, so pretty much I was 3 when I first got into music."
Yuta then smiled at the memory of his mother teaching him all about music. Music was a part of his life and he'll treasure it for the rest of his life.
Yuta then looked back at his guitar and he began to strum it lightly making a nice tune which was the very first tune he had learnt from his mother.
After a while he decided to play the tune to his song which he and Mark had written. He played a few notes of the song and waited for Kanae to join him before playing the rest of the song. He really wanted the duet to work and is sure that it will work very well.

June 21, 2023 (8:40 am)"Oh okay! That's a nice story. Your mother seems like an amazing person!" Kanae said happily and satisfied in reply to Osaki answering her question. The girl waited for a bit, she heard a guitar chord. 'Well, we're starting now' Kanae got ready to play. When she did, the duet began. She only thought of music when she played.
The beautiful memories she made with music in her life. Music made her life more lively, more colorful, and brighter in a way. It got her out of her darkest moments too. Music was her escape, her light, and more. It is the one thing that can never go wrong. Ever.
Kanae closed her eyes, lost in the tune. The musical duo played beautifully. The girl was fully engaged in the music. She was singing it too. Flashbacks to the time where she would write songs about her feelings when she was down. When she opened her eyes again, she smiled widely and began playing the best she could. The pitches were perfect.
Kanae wondered what was this Mark guy like? He assisted in making this wonderful song afterall.
The girl was happy to be playing with her new friend. The sound was fresh and nice. And the song was beautiful as well. 'Its a pleasure to play with you, Osaki-kun' she thought as she playedRP Word Count: 225/200

When Kanae started to play the cello, Yuta went back to playing the guitar forming a duet. The only thing Yuta focused on was the music, nothing else around him mattered, the only thing that mattered is the music.
The music room soon filled with the sound of a beautiful tune that the two are making by playing their instruments in perfect harmony.
Yuta was amazed and happy with how the duet is forming and how nice the tune is. He's definitely happy that he had came into the music room and met Kanae, if he hadn't, this tune and duet wouldn't be alive nor a thing.
"Gosh, I sure am glad I met Suzuki-chan! I'm also glad she was interested in my songs and wanted me to teach her the melody and the lyrics plus the tune to this song which Mark and I both wrote a few years ago." Yuta thought.
While he was thinking, a smile appeared on his face. He was pretty sure that Kanae saw it, but he saw her smile. While thinking and smiling he was still playing his guitar.

June 24, 2023 (12:23 pm)The beautiful duet sadly came to an end. The song was over. Kanae was happy as ever! She was amazed by Osaki's talent and skill in the guitar. "That was great Osaki-kun!" She complimented the boy, "I'm speechless! Good job Osaki-kun!" Kanae put up a thumbs up. She was genuinely shocked by how good he was.
'He's better than I'll ever be at guitar... I need to improve, maybe I'll be almost as good as him if I work harder' she thought. Kanae always felt that she was not good enough and is striving to be better. This is both a positive and negative trait for her.
While the girl was waiting for Osaki's response, she was smiling brightly. She noticed that Osaki smiled as well while they were dueting too. In Kanae's opinion, people should smile since it does make you feel better even when you're sad and its forced. Smiling genuinely is the best kind of smile, it comes from the heart.
According to the people around her, Kanae's smile is a diamond in the rough. Her smile is one of the purest out there. She is one of the people who are almost always energetic and joyful. Suddenly, Kanae heard someone shout her name. "Hey Kanae!" she saw her younger brother, Kazumi, go into the room. "I found your lost pocket-watch!!" He said. Kanae walked to him "Oh thanks! By the way, did you read Mom's letter yet?" she says. Kazumi shook his head as a 'No'.
"Ah...Osaki-kun, I need to show my brother our mom's letter! See you soon!" she waves as she grabs her brother and goes out of the Music room.Original RP Word Count: 200/200
