Currently, there is no way to receive extra house points in potion making, nor is there a way to gain extra-credit homework right now. There may be in the future, though, and the Bulletin will reflect that, should it become available.

My best suggestion would be to look in the encyclopedia. This list was created by the former potion master, and has the information you're looking for, at least enough to get you started on your answer.

I am not sure if this is the right place but, where do we find our report cards

Actually, this isn't the right place... you can move it to the FAQ thread or something, but it's not potions specified. Anyways, as you asked it here, I'll answer it here...
You can access the report card after you are 10 days old and have done 20 posts on the side. Then, you let your cursor hover over your avatar (upper right on the screen). A list will drop down, and you can find the report card in it. 

Do I get marked down if I don’t do homework? And will I ever get multiple assignments?

You do not get marked if you do not do the homework; you just don't have the mastery in it for your Encyclopedia. None of the assignments overlap, unless you are a student who was here prior to my start of the position.
