June 14, 2023 (2:30 am)It was a Wednesday afternoon, Kanae finished her work first but then she was bored but full of social battery so she decided to wander around her school for the time being. She saw a few of her friends and waved. It was almost summer break so they were going to be moving up to their second year in a few months. Kanae was exited to level up, she was always excited about almost everything. The light brunette came across a room, it looked empty. She stepped in and realized it was a music room. She saw a couple of instruments and went to the cello first. The girl sat down on the nearby chair, fixed up her posture, and held the bow. 'Time to play' Kanae thought. She then proceeded to play one of the most well-known cello pieces, Bach - Cello Suite No. 1.
She was in the moment, completely lost in the tune. Music is the thing in Kanae's soul. She loved it. The girl wishes go be like those famous muggle artists one day. On tours, millions of fans, on the stage! Her cousin once dreamed of that too but she let it down because according to her it was 'unstable'. Which was understandable.
After playing the tune, she saw a boy. "Oh hello! Do you like music? Do you want to play with me?" She greeted cheerfully with a bright hopeful smile.RP Word Count: 236/200

On Wednesday afternoon, Yuta was completing his homework in the school's library. After he finished his homework, he went back to his dorm and put his work away in his school bag. He then looked at himself in the mirror and wondered if he should change his outfit or not. After thinking for about 10 minutes, he decided to leave his uniform on.
He then decided to leave his dorm and wander around the school for a bit. After being bored of wandering, Yuta found himself in front of the music room. He looked around and only saw one girl inside the room, so he entered the room and went over to the recording part of the room.
After realizing that he couldn't think of any song lyrics, the young boy walked over to a guitar and began to strum it after sitting down on the chair. He adjusted the tunes to make sure it sounded like how he wanted it to and began to play. He stopped playing when he heard the girl speak. He placed the guitar down, looked at her, then said,
"Hi. Ya, I love music. Sure, I don't mind playing with you at all."
He then got up, brought the guitar with him, and walked towards the girl. He sat down beside her, and decided to introduce himself to her,
"I'm Yuta Osaki. My mother is a musician, so I come here often. How about you?"
"You know sometimes in life, things just ain't meant to be."

June 14, 2023 (11:47 pm)"That's a lovely name Osaki-kun, it suits you well!" Kanae complimented, "I'm Kanae Suzuki, nice to meet you!" She introduced herself. The girl is always bubbly and welcoming to others, even to strangers. That's how she makes friends so easily and effortlessly. She is a social butterfly and is overly kind too, some people say she's a bit too kind at times.
Kanae saw the guitar in the boy's hand. "Oh, you play the guitar? That's nice! What do you want to play?" She asked in her enthusiastically "You know, the cello and guitar as a duo is very underrated according to most people. I agree with them because I played the duo with my twin brother." Kanae's twin brother, Kazumi knows how to play a few instruments but is more interested in dance. He wants to be a dancer one day despite their parents disagreeing.
'Wait...Am I talking too much? Dang it I rambled! Did he find it annoying? I hope not!' Kanae thought realization. The girl has a problem with talking too much, she can talk on and on for eternity. But now she is trying not to blabber too much. Under her childish personality is a girl who is insecure about the way she talks and her first impressions. But she tries not to ponder on her insecurities though, since she knows it'll only make it worse. After her thoughts, she now just stopped talking so as to not seem annoying. She was now waiting patiently for a response.RP Word Count: 251/200

"Nice to meet you, Suzuki-chan. Your name is lovely as well, probably even better than mine." Yuta says smiling at her.
"So, Kanae Suzuki is her name. It's a nice and lovely name." Yuta thought.
His personality changes sometimes. Sometimes he can be cold to people. Sometimes he's nice to them. And sometimes he doesn't even talk to people. But right now, he's being nice and talking to Kanae, not because he feels like he has to, but because of what his best friend Mark had told him,
"Yuta, if you want to make some new friends at Mahoutokoro, you need to be like me! Or at least try to! I know you have it in you to be able to make friends fast like me! Don't worry, you'll make a lot of friends at Mahoutokoro! I know you will!"
That was the last thing Mark had said to Yuta before he went back to Preston, England. Honestly, Yuta knows that Mark is right, which is why he's trying his best to be nice to people to become their friends. Yuta finally broke out of his thoughts when he heard Kanae speak again.
"Yes, I do play the guitar. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm, maybe this song that I wrote? I mean, we could try to do a duet to it, but it might not work out. But, we could always use one of my mom's songs." Yuta says suggesting something as well.
"You know sometimes in life, things just ain't meant to be."

June 14, 2023 (11:47 pm)"Don't worry! All names are beautiful in their own way!" Kanae said in reply to Osaki saying that her name was better than his. Osaki then said if they can use one of his songs but then changed his mind and offered his mother's songs. "Nah it's ok! We can do your song! Just play it for me once and the next time, I'll try my best to a duet. It's fun to write songs! It also takes some hard work! Don't let that go to waste Osaki-kun!" She motivated the boy. Kanae is good at motivating and lifting up spirits, it was her specialty. She remembered when she and her cousin, Ara wrote songs together when she came to Japan to visit. The light brown-haired girl was certain she would come to visit again at summer break.
Kanae remembered telling Ara to make friends at school since she was not that social. By this point, Kanae is positive she has made at least 1 friend during her first year at Hogwarts. If not, she would introduce her to her friends in Japan. Osaki seems like a nice person to Kanae, he has a good personality too. Maybe he'll be the one she'll introduce to Ara if she doesn't make any friends?
"How long did it take you to make it Osaki-kun?" Kanae asked. "It takes at least 30 minutes to make a song. Play it to me! I want to hear it!" She said with enthusiasm.RP Word Count: 247/200

"True, true." Yuta says agreeing with Kanae.
When he heard that Kanae was fine with Yuta playing one of his songs, he had to pick one, since he had already written a few and a couple more while being at Mahoutokoro. His songs which he had written at home were with the help of his mother, but the songs which he has written here, have been from his bairn, but he knows that both are good. After picking a song he said,
"Alright. True, true. My mom is a great songwriter. Ok, so I was finding a hard time picking a song, but I was able to pick one. But, at least I was able to."
Yuta then played the chords that he needs to play to his song. After he was done, he looked at Kanae and wondered if she'll be able to play the chords on the cello since he tried but wasn't able to, but for some reason, he has a feeling that she'll be able to but doesn't know why yet.
"It took like an hour when I was younger since I had no idea how to write a song, but over time it took me less and less, now it takes me like 15 minutes to write a song, but only if I have an idea. Also, I just played it. Think you'll be able to match me on a cello?" Yuta says answering Kanae's other question.

June 16, 2023 (11:18 pm)"Oh! It only takes you 15 minutes? You're like my cousin! She writes songs all the time!" The girl chuckled "I'm certain! I have a perfect pitch and good memory so I'm positive that I could." Kanae reassured. She held her chello and started to play the chords Osaki played perfectly by memory. "Is that correct?" She asked to confirm. 'I hope I played it right! Oh gosh, how embarrassing would it be if I messed it up' she thought. The girl was scared of failure. She has a bunch of things she's scared of, failure, abandonment, likeness, and social things. Kanae is always worried if a person likes her or not even if it's a complete stranger or someone she already knows.
Kanaw looked at the boy, patiently waiting for a response. She recalled the chords he played, 'Seems about right. I think I played it correctly! If I didn't, there is something terribly wrong with my memory.' she thought. Kanae saw her brother walk by the hallway and waved at him, he waved back and continued walking. 'I swear is he stalking me or something? Thats the 4th time I've seen him today, not including in classes!' The girl thought again.RP Word Count: 203/200

"Really? What school does your cousin go to?" Yuta asks. He than adds, "Well, ok then. Give it a try."
When Kanae started playing what Yuta had played on the guitar he knew it was right, since it sounded like how his mother's did when she played it on the cello. After she stopped playing it, he nodded and clapped his hands before saying,
"Yep, it's prefect. Just like how my mother played it. Looks like we can do a duet."
He wondered if Kanae was just better at playing the cello than he is, but realized that she actually is. He wasn't going to ask her to teach him or anything, since he liked playing the guitar and found it easier to play as well, but he liked the sound the cello made when Kanae perfectly played Yuta's song.
"Hmmmmmmm, I wonder if Kanae knows that this song isn't an audio. But, I don't feel like telling her. Maybe she'll ask. Or maybe she won't. I guess I'll have to see." Yuta thought.
Indeed, the song which he played on his guitar isn't an audio. He has lyrics to the song, but he came to the music room to practice the music which will go with the way his voice will sound. Since his mother told him a lot about making music, Yuta is certin that he'll be able to find the right melody for his song.

June 18, 2023 (12:9 am)Osaki asked what school does her cousin go to. "She and my other cousins go to Hogwarts. Her name is Ara Villa. They live in England." Kanae said, replying to the boy's question. Osaki complimented her "What?! Really? I thought I made at least one mistake honestly" she said surprised by his compliment. "Are there lyrics to this song? Can you teach me the melody? It seems like a nice tune to sing to" Kanae asked.
It was indeed a nice tune and it probably has lyrics to it. If there wasn't Kanae would be happy to make up some lyrics for it. 'I hope there's lyrics and a melody, its a beautiful tune' she thought. The girl liked making lyrics on the spot. It really trains her brain to think on the spot and make sense of it all. Kanae remembers making songs and music with Ara, even though Ara does most of the work, its fun for Kanae adding her own charm into the song. Sometimes they even show it to their family.
Kanae is waiting patiently for Osaki's response. She wondered what would his song lyrics be about if it had lyrics nad what kind of melody will it be if it also did have a melody.RP Word Count: 210/200

"Hogwarts huh? My best friend goes to that school. His name is Mark Myers. Imagine if they have already met and are friends and we are meeting each other. It'll be like a coincidence, right?" Yuta says.
He wondered if that has happened before tho. He does know that Mark will definitely be able to make friends at Hogwarts, probably more than he'll be able to make at Mahoutokoro. But, Yuta wonders what Kanae thinks about what he had said. It was a possibility which the young boy wasn't exactly sure about.
"Don't worry. You didn't make any mistakes. Ya, there are lyrics to the song. I'm pretty sure I have the lyrics with me." Yuta says.
He knew that he did bring some music sheets which he did write with him, but wasn't sure which ones he wrote. He took out all of the sheets of paper which he brought with him and looked for the song which he was teaching Kanae. Once he found the paper, he put the others away and handed the sheet to her.
"Here are the lyrics. Mark and I wrote this song before he left to go back to England." Yuta says simply.
