The game started slowly, the action was there but in the end both teams managed to score only 10 points. Haley was happy about her small success, but not too much. More she cursed those who had not gone through the rings. She expected more from herself. She wanted more and she could do more, she knew that. She didn't want to lose this game too and get knocked off her broom. She would fight as she always did and so she did not let herself be upset and continued to do her best.

"C'mon Lions! We can do this!" shouted the red-haired girl through the air to her teammates. It was the truth, they CAN win this. And she knew each of them are giving their best.

At first, Koko thought things were going rather well. The two teams were tied, after all, and although she was a bit sad Avery hadn't been able to score more goals, Koko was relieved she'd been able to stop Gryffindor from scoring more.

However, the goals weren't all that mattered. The Keeper glanced around the Quidditch pitch, keeping an eye out for anything coming near the goalposts, and she noticed Dan falling─but where was his broom? She squinted. It was there, right? Maybe she was missing something.

The more she looked, though, the more confused she became. Cash caught Dan, and then Koko noticed the splintery dust floating downwards through the air. Oh. So the Gryffindors had thought to break Dan's broom? Bold. Not a good idea, not very smart, but bold indeed. They would incur Dan's wrath, and perhaps the wrath of the rest of the Cloud Cobras.

At least Cash had caught him, Koko mused. That, at least, was something good. And the Gryffindors had taken a few hits! At least the Cloud Cobras had begun their revenge.

Excels at catching falling allies as well as getting them back to their broom quickly.

This broom can carry multiple people. When someone uses the catch option to rescue a falling teammate, they can catch one additional teammate in a given round. If the user has the ability Catch then a user can catch an indefinite number of teammates in a round, but for each person they catch after the first there is a stacking 20% auto-failure chance.

On the next round, as a free action (meaning both users can make a normal action) the rider and ONE passenger (if there are multiple sharing the broom, it would cost both of their actions to return them to their broom also) can retrieve a single broom.

Note to self, Bludgers hurt. That was the only thing running through Elena's mind as it seemed like every part of her was on fire. Now, she had been on the recieving end of a Bludger more than once during their practice sessions but it felt extremely different when you were being targeted by rival House beaters as compared to your housemates and that was not a feeling she wanted to experience ever again no matter what.

She had no idea where the blasted thing had come from but it had shaken her focus as she cursed under her breath wincing as her broom veered dangerously off course but she had maanged to cling on for dear life.

Oh, they were going to test her over and over for that precious Snitch as her eyes kept darting around furiously trying to block out the pain and lock in on something, anything that even betrayed a speck of gold.

Gryffindor needed it, they needed that win as she clung to her Firebolt trusting it and also trusting her Beaters to keep any more of those pesky hulking, iron balls of zooming death away from her.

She had fallen from her broom once. It was not a pleasant experience she wanted to relive any time soon to say the least.

Mellani watched with curiosity as the match progressed. Both the teams seemed to be doing pretty well, until the moment Dan fell, his broom shattering to pieces. Thankfully, Cassandra had been there to save him. Mellani wasn't sure whether she was ready to go and play in case she was needed. What if she embarrassed herself or the team lost because of her? She took deep breaths and watched the game progress. She kept being reminded of the fact that she didn't even have a broom, and would have to use the school one.

As soon as the Quaffle, Bludger, and Golden Snitch had been released from its confinement, all hell broke lose just to put it lightly. On the Chasers vs Keeper's front, Chen and Haley were doing strong for teams Gryffindor and Slytherin. This means both Chasers from the opposite teams manage to score 10 each for their respective houses.

It was a different story for the Beater and Seeker's front. Both Dan and Erin got hit by their Beaters. But Erin managed to hit Gryffindor's Seeker back in the name of retribution. Dan was not hit once but twice. The second one was the hardest to watch. Dan's Silver Arrow splinters into bits and pieces while falling down to the grassy ground of the Pitch.

Good thing Cash chose to ride their Silver Arrow for today instead of their Firebolt. If their Firebolt meets the same fate as Dan's, it sure as hell they will bring the wreath of the underworld to whoever hurt their broom the most. But as much as Cash wanted to hit the opponent player, they had a role to play.

As the Beater saw their Captain falling from his broom and about to meet the ground at a fast pace, Cash leaned forward and accelerated their broom faster to catch Palmer. "Not on my watch!"They said as Cash moved their Silver Arrow faster before Palmer ever get the chance to meet his doom. When the Cuban descendant felt an extra weight on their broom, they know they had caught Palmer.

"Thanks,"The fourth year said as they made a quick head turn to make sure that Palmer was secure in the backseat. Once Cash secured that Palmer was doing okay, the young socialite hit the gas in the direction that Palmer had appointed them to. "On it!"Cash uttered and accelerated faster as their Silver Arrow could take them and their passenger.

He winced at the hit, wondering just how much that must’ve hurt. Not that it mattered, Elena seemed pretty unphased all things considering. Nerves of steel if one didn’t count spiders apparently and that was good, great even, because the longer she was up there the better chance they actually had at getting the snitch.

Way better than if he was up there.

A loud, roaring cheer flew out of Odi’s lips before he could contain it as soon as the players got started. He had seen the game during friendly’s and practice, but watching an actual match felt like something else entirely. Quidditch was exhilarating. Odi felt as electrified as he did during his first flying class as he watched bludgers being sent zooming at players left and right while the keepers frantically tried to search for the snitch.

One of the bludgers collided with Ethan, the Gryffindor beater that Odi had seen in the common room a few times. The hit looked brutal, and Odi winced as his co-captain clung to his broom to hold on.

The air seemed to take an un-summery chill as the realisation dawned on Odi that he would be the one to take over if anything happened to either of the beaters and he wiped away a drop of sweat that appeared on his brow despite the icy feeling that washed over him. He shook off his anxiety with a shudder and tried to keep his focus on the game at hand, silently hoping that he could simply spectate on the first game of the season, at least.

Effect: Alluring: If a Part-Veela is being attacked there will be an urge to assist or protect them. Each round there is a 10% chance that an opponent in a duel or a moderated situation will decide to ally with the Part-Veela even against their own allies and attempt to protect them. This is not necessarily a romantic thing, but rather could be roleplayed as a fascination, a desire to not let something pretty be ruined, etc. This has nothing to do with sexual attraction unless as an RP'er that is what the user wishes to RP it as. This ability does not affect other Veela or Part-Veela. It will not stack if multiple Veela or Part-Veela are present.

Jay had to stifle a snicker at the sight before him. The first year saw Dan’s broom explode into a cloud of splinters from the corner of his eye, and it was funny how the tables turned. Before, it was the Gryffindor’s falling off their brooms, including himself. Now, it was the opposing team. Looks like the lions were more used to having bludgers slammed into their broom. Either that be a good or bad thing, Jay didn’t care. Just as long as they won the game.

Long story short, Jay was a different person when his competitive side showed. With a grin, he made sure his own teammates were okay after the hits they took, and then focused on the game in front of him.
