The start of something extraordinary

It was a cool day, not to hot not to cold. There was only a slight breeze that left a chill. Even though the sun was out. The rather tall hufflepuff was dressed in a pair of jeans like he normally was on days he didn't have classes, and he had a gray shirt with a red flannel over it. With his wand tucked into the back pocket of his trousers he set off for the great lake.
When he reached the lake he took a seat very close to the waters surface. Close enough to were he could reach over and touch if it he wanted to. But he didn't. With not wanting to fall in, That would be bad. And embarrassing. Not to mention he would probably be very cold afterwards.
The first year brushed his hand through the grass. The feeling of it through his fingers was such a good feeling. It was a great way to leave his worries of school, and such behind. With a sigh of relief he played down the sun was warm on his face. "This. This is right.." he muttered to no one but himself, this would have to be André's ideal day.

A gentle gust of wind ruffled Reuben's dark, wavy hair; flurrying his unruly fringe as he playfully strode across the field. His backpack bobbed up and down whirling around its contents inside. He was in good spirits with a gentle smile stretched across his face. The tender chill of the autumn breeze was perfect; not too cold not too hot just as he liked it. He slowed down to a gentle stroll as he approached the lake, the sun gleaming off its surface. It was truly an enchanting sight in person, even more so than from atop the castle's windows.
He glanced around to take in the breathtaking view when he noticed a rather tall boy sitting around the lake by himself. He appeared familiar, but Reuben couldn't quite figure out where from. They certainly never met or introduced each other... maybe he's seen him around the castle a few times. It has been a few months since the start of the year so it wasn't implausible. Regardless, in true Reuben fashion, he decided to go over and introduce himself, maybe hang out a little. Besides, it would be great to spend such an exquisite day with someone. He gently wandered over to the dark-haired boy, standing a few feet away from him.
"Hey" he beamed at the boy with his radiant trademark grin. "Can I sit with you? I'm Reuben by the way." Before the boy could respond, Reuben glanced around as he removed his backpack and placed it on the ground. He plopped down onto the grass leaning back on his hands with his legs stretched out nearly touching the water. Reuben looked over at the boy and shot him a gentle smile, awaiting his response.

He could stay here forever! The breeze, sun, lake. All of it. In the very moment it was really great. In the moment he wished he could pause time to stay there forever. It could be considered his perfect day, or close to it. He did really love the bright, and sunny summer days in his backyard at home. The same backyard were his first instance of magic took place.
Soon after he sat there and played down a boy, his age in a pink sweater arrived on the seen. André was lost in his thoughts that he was delayed with his response. "Oh hello!" he returned the greeting sitting up, of the ground. Before he could respond to his question about sitting he had already put down his bag and sat.
"Yeah your fine to site down" he smiled. He would have said yes no matter whay the other boy and done. But seeing as he sat down already he felt as if he couldn't say no. "My names André, I'm a first year hufflepuff. You are?" he asked. Curious on who he was, As he did look like someone André knew. He couldn't remember talking to him though.

As Reuben sat there, the wind blowing through his hair and tickling his face with his curly locks, he couldn't help but feel a sense of peace. The beautiful chirping of birds mixed with the rustle of leaves in the breeze created a serene atmosphere that enveloped him completely. He paused to admire the stunning view of the lake before him, which was truly breathtaking.
Turning to André, who seemed friendly enough, Reuben introduced himself with a bright smile on his lips. "I'm a first-year too, Gryffindor though. We have some classes together I think." With his blue eyes sparkling in the sunshine, he looked back out at the gorgeous expanse of water. It was almost like Hogwarts Castle was reflected perfectly in its mirror-like surface.
"It's beautiful isn't it?" Reuben said softly, still taking in the majestic scenery around them. It reminded him of home, Northern Ireland with its rolling hills and valleys, shimmering lakes and vast seas. He felt a twinge of nostalgia for home, sitting by the lake brought back memories of the many camping trips he took with his dad in the countryside. It made him all the more excited for his time at Hogwarts and the friends he would make along his journey.

"We do?" Andre said turning his head ever so slightly to the side. He defiantly had seen him somewhere, classes could have been it. "Ah, we probably do, I guess I focus on the lesson more then I do people." He laughed with a shrug. Like Reuban, Andre also looked back to the water. It was looking very still at the moment, as if iced over. No ripples that could be commonly found, perhaps the giant squid was taking a nap. Also nothing from any students that may have been wanting a swim that would land them in detention.
Andre nodded in agreement to what the Gryffindor boy had said, "It is, almost like the perfect view" He loved how the lake, and the grounds in general were. They were peaceful. There weren't many places in the school you could find like this. If you were lucky the common room could almost make it to this level. A mostly empty great hall might make a nice third place. Andre decided to talk more with Reuban and not lose himself in his thoughts. "So. Why are you on the grounds today?" He asked turning to face him. The view was nice and all, but might as well have a nice conversation when you can.
